Kate Leth is a Canadian author and illustrator working in comics, animation, design, and feelings. A grown-up goth and pop culture devotee, Kate specializes in work for kids and teens. Their comics work includes Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat!; Girl Over Paris; Spell on Wheels; and Adventure Time, among others.

They live in Halifax, Nova Scotia with an absolutely ridiculous cat and several regrets. They are queer and genderfluid/non-binary, a fact that greatly influences their work. Kate uses they/them pronouns, but probably won’t correct you.

Patsy and Ian are still the world's cutest roommates. We also get a fun appearance from a former Defender and we have Patsy in the end actively looking for other inhumans who may be getting swayed to the dark side.

We do have the comics setting up what I assume is going to be a long arc of Patsy confronting this woman.

The hilarity of Ian having a crush on Tom and Tom seemingly oblivious while scoping out other guys was pretty funny.

In the end we have Patsy meeting another inhuman with the power to summon bedbugs and man oh man I have been putting lotion on all morning and scratching myself since I finished up this read.

I do have to say that so far this one is my favorite in the series. Probably because we have Patsy running around more as Hellcat. She gets to hang out with an old friend. And her and Ian giving each other grief over their landlord's hot son was hilarious. I don't see it myself, but whatever floats your boat. I hope the next one shows Patsy and a few of her other friends doing what they can to stem the tide of potentially bad guys.

My only complaint, was that I could not download this comic to my Kindle or read it in the Kindle Cloud Reader. I had to read this either on my IPAD or my android device. I don't know why that is and I tried different things and got no joy. So for potential readers, just be aware that apparently comic #3 doesn't seem to like your Kindle this time through.

Este tebeo trata sobre problemas con bichos y el asco que dan y es PERFECTO.

Es adorable, tierno, la protagonista me encanta. Los dibujos son una pasada. Quiero Hellcat en vena, por favor.

I love this title. I love how it feels so different, and it's such a refreshing change in the typical super-hero genre. Patsy's fixing everyday problems in her life, she's not afraid to be the girly-girl that she is while also kicking ass. She takes the fact that she's often underestimated as a person and a superhero to change people's opinions of her (and frequently their alliances) and she has a great, diverse, and amazing cast of friends at her side. I love how she has faith and the ability to see the good in others no matter their situations and that she has taken it upon herself to "convert" potential bad guys into good guys, no matter how silly their powers may seem (especially in this issue). Patsy has been through some tough shit, but her positive outlook in the face of difficulty is such a refreshing and awesome story to read. Love her, love the book, looking forward to more.

Also, I try to keep my reviews spoiler free but I do have to mention: I LOVE the nod to Netflix's Jessica Jones in this issue. It's very subtle, and definitely elicited a squeak on my end when I saw it! Definitely a great tribute to the two Patsy Walkers in the Marvel Universe, even though they are slightly different (and the show definitely got me into Patsy/Trish's history)!

This is a much better issue for me, personally. Patsy attempts to protect the people in her apartment complex from a slum lord using a super powered person as a weapon. Her brand of super heroism is convincing people who have begun using their powers for nefarious means to use them in a more productive and helpful way.

In other news: I am starting to love Ian Soo.

The art is still adorable, and so is the writing. Nothing really different or outstanding compared to the first two issues.

Best issue yet, but I'm having trouble connecting to the overarching plot. Might give it one more, but can't decide.
