Beyond what is said, and what it done - beyond everything that is known, lurk nightmares beyond imagination, beyond fear.
An incredible discovery exposes the hatching plan of a dire threat, launching Captain Dak Smith and the crew of the Archaea into action on an adventure into the forgotten, the forlorn, and the unforgettable.
Now normally I dislike books that seemingly randomly throw aliens into the plot. In this book it works. Still focused on the main characters, without losing the entertaining references. Lots of action and while I would do the next bit of tech slightly differently than it appears this is going, this is a great book.
Don't want to spoil too much but the climax of this novel is a total drag, stakes are "high" but I'm bored. The crew willing handicap themselves to keep the tension and it's hard to stomach.
