Rate this book
Orphaned shop girl Cinder, and Rome, the Prince of the Fae, have been best friends most of their lives. And she's loved him for just as long. But with the death of her father, she's now trapped as the sole breadwinner for her stepmother and half-sister– leaving little time for anything more than dreaming of getting away.

Rome loves Cinder as well, but her free spirit and lack of noble blood have stood in the way of him doing something about it. That is until his father the King decrees a three-part contest will determine Rome's new bride.

Even though Cinder possess more magick than has been seen in a hundred years, only those with the highest magickal blood are able to enter the contest; leaving Cinder out of the running for good. That is until a Fairy Grandmother steps in with a disguise and a plan.

But a hidden Evil has been scheming for centuries and is vying to be more than just Rome's new bride. It wants all of Ville DeFee.

Cinder's magick can stop those out to ruin her kingdom. But it may mean giving up her life to do it.

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This book was very well written and a lot of fun to read. While the main plot is based on Cinderella, that is not the only fairy tale included. There were some hints of Sleeping Beauty at one point and the mention of Rapunzelle (though I'm not sure where she fits into everything or if there is a connection the fairy tale). Regardless, this was so much more than just your average Cinderella story. I have read a paranormal rendition of Cinderella before and enjoyed it, but this one far surpassed it. The plot was much more intricate and there were more factors at play. The main characters of this book included fae, a werebear, daemons, and a human/mage. I really enjoyed the interaction between the species, especially since it is clear they don't often interact (or like each other). Cinder is the open minded (and strong headed) individual who does what she wants, when she wants. She has come to have many non-fae friends that the people of Ville DeFee are unaware of. I think it is her kindness and open heart that will set an example in Ville DeFee and serve to bring the different species together or at least create harmony and acceptance among them throughout Fairelle. We can already see how her view of the world and the way she conducts herself has impacted the people around her by the end of the book. This book made me laugh (literally) quite often. While I don't think the book was necessarily created to be a comedy, there are little things here and there that are slipped in that bring humor to the book. I found the addition of Alabrax was fantastic, especially his reason for creation. Despite fighting to win the competition, her first concern remains Olivia, her younger sister. When Olivia succeeds at the first task only to have someone else ruin it for her, Cinder loses her temper a bit and creates a dragon to exact revenge. I thought that was really sweet as well as hilarious. (I'm just sad that it was kittens they had to attempt to change - considering the outcome of failed attempts.) Overall, this was a great book with rich characters and a very interesting plot. As I mentioned before, it was a lot of fun to read. The book has a HEA ending and doesn't necessarily have a cliffhanger, but it still might leave you dying to know what happens next (I know I am!). That being said, it could be read as a stand alone if desired. I hope you enjoy your adventure in Fairelle as much as I did! :)

Cinder is a magical Fae who has known Roman the prince for 50 years. The two love one another but have not admitted it. The first three prophecies have been fulfilled; it is now time for the fourth! The land of Fairelle is once again under threat by more of Morgana’s children. Lady Sabine, Cinder’s stepmother will do whatever she has to, to ensure her daughter Olivia takes the throne. Her brother Phinneaus is also to ensure the same. Roman’s grandmother knows he is in love with Cinder and she knows about her past but she keeps forgetting. The king wants his son to marry someone of pure bloodlines, so that leaves Cinder out of the picture.
Roman wants Cinder at all costs, but she reminds him of his duty to the kingdom. The king decides to host a magical competition between princesses to win Roman’s hand in marriage. Cinder enters the competition as someone else with the help of Roman’s grandmother. Dax is on the scene as well to help Cinder. Cinder plans to slowly uncover the spell put upon him to help him remember who he is as well. Rebekah Ganiere has written another new novel in the Fairelle series that leaves you tied to your seat in anticipation of what will occur! Each book uncovers more of the plots, characters involved, and secrets revealed. Repeat characters come along to help the hero and heroine fulfill their destinies. Come along on the journey of Fairelle in this next installment to see how the fourth prophecy becomes fulfilled. I received this book as a gift and am leaving a voluntary review.

A twist on the story of Cinderella

I just love these spin offs of the fairy tales. Cinder is a far and Rome is a far Prince. Cinder is the town healer and one of the prince's best friend. Rome has loved Cinder for as long as he can remember. Cinder brakes fae laws by helping outsiders like Flint and Dax. She is the reason that the two could break Zelle out of her tower. Rome loves her anyway but until her almost getting hurt helping them. He realized that he had feelings for her. There are many secrets and lies behind the Fate walls. Once Rome realized that he has to save Cinder that's all he focuses on. With the help from Dax, Flint and his brothers they search for Cinder and help Dax find some more answers about his past. I can't wait to start Dax's story next.

Even Better than the Original!!

Cinder runs her father’s shop alone after his death, supporting her stepmother and stepsister. Rome, a prince, has known Cinder for 60 years; but does not realize his true feelings until his father creates a magical contest to find his princess. A contest Cinder does not even qualify to enter.

There is some black magic involved, and many do not play by the rules. Meanwhile “good” magic does not sit by idly. Will keep you on the edge of your seat; an enhanced magical version of a true classic!

One of my faves in this series

I think Cinder is probably one of my favorites out of this series only second to the first book involving Redlynn. I'm partial to wolf shifters though. I thought we would learn more about another Gwyn brother but we don't. That was a nice break actually and another surprise. I'm a little surprised at Cinders naivete in the end pertaining to the red stone necklace and where they leave it considering they know what it does. I'm thinking that could pose an added problem in the next book. Which by the way...involves Dad. Finally! I love his character and I'm glad he's in the beauty and the beast spin.

This is book five of the Fairelle series of fairytale retellings, and I'm LOVING them! As you might guess, this has its roots in Cinderella but is much more magical! I'm not going to spoil it by telling you what happens - I HATE spoilers and you can get a good preview in the blurb at the top of the page - but I will just say that if you like your stories with tension, drama, fairytale characters seen in a whole new way (including kicka$$ women who don't need a Prince to rescue them!), a bit of love and sprinkling of magic, this book (and series!) is definitely one for you! I loved it, and can't wait to read the next one!

Fifth book in an amazing and magical retelling of fairytales. These aren’t the stories from your childhood but are so much more. Magic is everywhere, adventure and action for all and don’t forget about the romance that will melt your heart. Cinder is smart and filled with magic. She could do anything but she lets her stepmother control her. Her stepsister isn’t evil but a very sweet and innocent young woman. Then the prince Rome is definitely dashing but he now must marry. But by the king’s rules he must marry a certain type of woman. Love may be grand but can it break the rules and stop the bad guys from winning?

Cinder is amazing, this was a very interesting read adding more clues as to what is going on in Fairelle. It was nice to see more of Dax and snippets of his past. I love that Rome realized what he truy wanted regardless of what his father wanted for him. His grandmother was amazing; her help moved the story forward for both of them. How Cinder cared for Livy was so sweet. The character interactions in the book were great, you could not help but fall for them. I highly recommend this book and am very interested to see what unfolds next.

Cinder is an orphaned girl living with her Step mother and half sister. She also happens to be Fae and friends with various races. Rome is the Prince and his father has decided its time for him to pick a bride, weather he wants to or not. This is a whole new take on the old Cinderella, and my favorite so far. Cinder is a girl who follows her heart and does what she wants no matter the consequences. Such a free spirit, and I can't wait to read more of this series and find out what the future holds for Fairelle! I can't wait to read Belle's book as Belle's story has always been my favorite.

I can not say enough about this series.. suspense, action and romance. I enjoyed how strong and stubborn Cinder was and how Rome would do anything to protect her. The characters seem real and the story line flows so smoothly I couldn’t put the book down. I love this new view on Cinderella and how though this is part of a series the stories don’t leave you hanging on their individual plots. At the same time the overall plot is built upon beautifully book to book. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

I cannot say enough good things about Rebekah's writing. I know that I can 1-click any title because every single story I've read so far by this author (10 books and counting) has pulled me in almost immediately and kept my absolute attention to the finish and this one was no different. The Fairelle series keeps getting better and better and I love how each book is a great story on it's own but is made a little sweeter when we get snippets of previous characters as well. I can't wait to read the next story (previewed at the end of this one) Belle and the Beast!

Will the next prophesy come true or will evil prevail!

What a dance and I'm not talking about the ball! Cinder is always helping others it's nice to see someone helping her even if it was her fairy grandmother. You should never hold your feelings in or what you want the most could slip though your fingers. Rome and Cinder were meant to be together will they realize it in time??? Thanks to the author for another great adventure.

Total Excitement

We have to love all the magic that happens in these books and you never really see the bad guy coming until it's too late. Love it how all the bad guys fit in with all the other bad guys from the other books.

You will be filled with surprises with each turn of the page. There will be things you will not see coming and they will make you gasp. What is it with everyone wanting to take over Fairelle can't we all just live in peace?

Until Next Time... Tabi

Love this Rebekah Ganiere and this series so much. Cinder and Rome's story is amazing!! They have known each other their whole lives and slowly realize what they feel for each other is more than friendship. Some unforseen events happen but keep you reading to find out what happens. Such an awesome story and can't wait to read the next book and see how they all are connected.

Cinder and Rome have a long history together if only they could get over their stubbornness and see what was right in front of them all along. It takes a contest for them to see what they've really known which is how much they really love each other. If you want to know the who, what, when, where and why of it all you need to read the book :)

I love this book as much as I have all the other books in this whole series. Cinder the Fae tells the story of another heroine that isn't a damsel in distress, she can save herself from trouble, she doesn't need a man to save her. She loves the hero and he loves her. It was a heartwarming story, with action, love, and romance. This story is about another of the prophecies in Fairelle. The story is based on the fairytale Cinderella. This is another excellent story by Rebekah R Ganiere and contains many of our favorite characters from the previous stories.

I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for my unbiased review of it. All the opinions expressed are solely my own.
Cinder and the Fae is the next story in the series of Fairelle and this is yet another engaging and well written story by Rebekah R. Ganiere. This phenomenal writer has brought us yet another rewrite of a classic fairy tale with a twist that grabs your attention, holds you down and keeps you coming back for more as she writes the next chapter to this engaging series.
Cinder (Cinderella) is a Fae but instead of being a scullery maid to her evil stepmother and evil stepsisters it’s just the stepmother who is the bane of her existence. Cinder has great magic in her unlike the other Fae that she lives with and around. She is a great healer and does good things for those around her. She cares very much for her stepsister and does her best to look out for her. But Cinder is also in love with Prince Rome….has been for years since they were children. But she believes that that love will never come to anything since he has never expressed or showed anything towards herself.
Then Dax comes because of what Flint told him…that Cinder said to come and that she would try to help him. He wants more than anything to know who he is…where he comes from and why he is the way that he is. Cinder is able to probe the magic that envelopes him but this is high level magic that is guarding and hiding some heavy secrets and if she’s not careful she might get hurt because of it.
I absolutely love this series. Each book picks up right where the last ends and leads you right back in with the characters that you love and want to know more about and travel with as they find their mates, help heal the land and learn about themselves. The stories are engaging, well written and immensely entertaining. I cannot get enough of Rebekah R. Ganiere and if you are a lover of fantasy and romance then this is a series that I highly recommend to you and anyone else. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars and will be recommending it (and the rest in this series) to anyone I know. This is a series and author worth checking out. You won’t be disappointed.

If you love the old fairy tales, and have read author Rebekah Ganiere's version of them, you will love this one. In this telling the godmother is not the only one with magic and the Prince has more to do than just go to a ball and ride around looking for a foot to fit a shoe. Cinder and Rome (the prince) have been close friends since childhood all the way through adulthood, but have never expressed their true feelings for each other. The king now demands the prince marry but only those women with the proof of their "proper" background may go. As you may have guessed Cinder does not have said proof, but with the help and insistence of her "fairy godmother" she decides to attend, meanwhile Rome tries to tell her of his love, without much success. Lies and secrets come out, and Cinder is in mortal danger by the villain of the story. Well the story tells you all about what they have to go through to try and be together. Will truth and love, with the help of some magic, destroy evil and save the day?

I try very had not to give spoilers, and I hope I've succeeded here, but at the same time draw you in enough to let you know its a story worth reading. Magic, adventure, danger, secrets and love and even humor; all the ingredients needed for a great fantasy tale.

This book is exceptionally written. It keeps you enthralled through the entire story. It is a magical twist on a old fairytale. Once I started reading I just could not stop until I found out how it would end. Ms. Geniere did an excellent job of continuing her series. They just seem to get better and better and in doing so you get to know her amazing characters. Cinder and Rome are the main characters in this story. The characters were well developed. They are strong, honorable, loving, and loyal . You will find great adventure, danger, love, comedy, friendship and even magic. If you take the time to start reading this book I am sure you won't be able to put it down until you reach the end. Then you will find yourself craving more.

I cannot lie, I fangirl over these books. Cinder has been my favorite since she was introduced and I was not so patiently waiting for this book. Finally ARC'S were available and I knew it would be a one sitting read.

Rome and Cinder together remind me of me and my hubs. A long relationship that leaves a good bit of teasing and love. I was so glad to see Dax involved as well, as he's another favorite.

It always makes me smile to see how the author plays with my favorite fairytales. It's a unique twisted retelling, but it hits all the right points.

Big plus for the Fairy GRANDmother, instead of a godmother ☺

ps....Cannot wait for Dax's story!!!

I find myself with another Awesome read with a faerytail twist that captivated me from page one. I am so vested in this series that I want the the next book yesterday. This too is a fast paced book that keeps you in a fairytale spin with plenty of unexpected turns that keep you on your toes not wanting to keep reading but needing to, to find out how the story plays out. Loved Cinder and her charming prince Rome and how Dax and the Gwynn brothers are willing to help unconditionally. This book incorporates magic, daemons, shifters, murder, betrayal, greed, love, honor and respect. Great book.

I'm still loving Dax.

Looking forward to the next book in the Fairelle series.

When I started this story, not having read the earlier ones, I thought it was going to be a simple, lighthearted, re-telling of a fairytale. I was wrong. The characters are not simple and neither is the world nor the plot. Just when I thought I had the premise figured out, when I thought the end was in sight and all was going to fall into place, another twist appeared and the story went deeper. I really enjoyed the world and the way the characters, minor and major, interacted and I look forward to reading the earlier stories - as well as the next ones.

This was another awesome book in this series!
Cinder lives with her stepmother and stepsister in a majical fae town..Ville De Fee where she runs an apothecarian like shop.
Rome is a crown Prince and has lived Cinder since she was 12. However his father has decided to meddle in his love life and designed a contest to find his wife. Rome finds out that there is a catch to enter...the contestants have to have 'pure bloodlines back four generations'
Trouble starts for Cinder when her "fairy grandmother" disguises her so she could......

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. And you'll get it. I love this series of fairy tales and can't wait for the others to come out. Rebekah has a great writing style and her version of the Cinderella story is a breath of fresh air. I stayed up way to late a couple of nights reading Cinder the Fae because I wanted to know what was going to happen. Come to think of it, I usually lose sleep over Rebekah's stories.

Cinder works as servant for her stepmother, and as an apothecary in Ville DeFee. She has really strong magic, and ever stronger mind. She is in love with prince Rome, but it looks like a dream, which never come true. Because she has no title, no pedigree.
One day king decide to throw a competition, where the winner will marry the prince. But only the female with four generation of highborn can enter. Can Cinder participate in the competition and win the only man, she ever loved?

I love the story of Cinderella!

Ms. Ganiere has taken the old time favorites and added an adult twist to them. I love how the fairy tales are so similar to the originals yet oh so much more in-depth. You need to read this!
