Takes me back to my youth. This is a solid update on the old rules, the book contains much that even the 2 edition was missing. However the version i have have a few spelling errors and some of the new art clashes badly with the old 90 style that is still used even though the old has been updated with color. As for how the game plays there are now a better focus on investigative play but the rules still heavily invite to combat and action focused games, something i'm not looking for anymore. Reading through the book was still a blast.
An high-octane game of dieselpunk action and cosmic horror. A brilliant satire of corporate capitalism and action movies. If John Carpenter directed a mashup of “Doom”, “Event Horizon”, and “Await Further Instructions”, you would get Mutant Chronicles.
Interesting setting. I like the character creation and think the rules look like they should be fun to play with. I'm planning a campaign sometime this year so I'll most likely be updating the review at some point.
