He upset Mrs. Johnson, and now he's not going on the class trip. But he has to, after all he's a born action hero! Stevie Knuckles Action Camp is where Fin belongs. So it's time to use the diary again—if he can just tweak what happened today, he'll be on his way to fame, fortune and fearlessness once again. But the diary has a naughty habit of backfiring, causing problems with his mates, his family and Claudia—not to mention The Python Incident.
I received this book for free via Goodreads First Reads.
I find it difficult to rate books in which I am not the target audience so I think the 10 year old me has given this 5 stars.
It is a funny, adventurous and thoughtful read. It has a good message (I thought the message was that even if you could change bad days then in the end you can create the best days without help.)
The illustrations and text work well together and will help the reader to laugh without losing track of the story. I would recommend this book to be read by the intended audience as well as to be read aloud to a younger audience.
I do feel the standard of writing has improved in this genre and thus is yet another example of that.
