Rate this book
Eric, Will, and Carol are on the run after being exiled by Demetrius, the new Master of the vampires in Strongfield. Following the showdown with the coven, the three have been warned not to return, and Carol has been declared dead in official police reports. Facing an uncertain future, Carol reluctantly joins Eric and Will, but she is uncertain if she can leave her old life behind and embrace Will’s faith. Along the way, a physical attraction develops between Will and Carol as he teaches her about the Way and what it means to become a servant of The Name. Carol resists at first, but through a series of encounters, she develops a newfound respect for faith in God. When she insists on returning to Boston, however, events are set in motion which threaten all their lives. The trio is forced on the run again, fleeing vampires sent from Strongfield to capture them. A life-and-death struggle culminates in a crossroads for Carol, who must finally make a choice about whom she will serve.

Redeemed picks up right where Refuge left off and with this story we really see Carol struggle with a decision that will ultimately seal her fate for eternity!

Eric, Will and Carol are always looking over their shoulder wondering when the vampire coven that they just tangled with will show up! While Eric and Will can hold their own against the vampires, after all they are experienced vampire hunters, and Will is sealed, and therefore untouchable because of his faith in God. Carol on the other hand is in mortal danger unless she decides to give her heart to God, so it's up to Eric and Will to keep her safe, something that isn't easy because she really can't decide whom or what she will follow.

Redeemed by Jason K. Macomson takes the reader on a spiritual journey that really shines the light on good versus evil and shares how God will protect us if only we will allow him to! Mr. Macomson really puts a refreshing new twist on vampire fiction with this series of books by allowing readers to truly see the struggle between good versus evil and how lives are shaped by the choice of which path one ultimately takes! The faith based messages are spot on, and fit perfectly with the story line. The characters are easy to connect with, and the feelings that develop between Will and Carol made perfect sense. Carol is a character that is easy to like, but at times I also became frustrated with her. I sometimes felt like she didn't really get the seriousness of the situation they were in. While there are several spiritual messages in this story the author also provides plenty of suspense filled page turning scenes that were far from predictable. Honestly one twist at the end of the story totally blindsided me and left me wondering what will ultimately happen in the final installment of this series! I have read both books Refuge and Redeemed and highly recommend both to anyone who enjoys vampire fiction or a great story of good versus evil that shares a positive faith based message!

A Fitting Sequel

Macomson continues this story with a superb writing style. My whole family is reading his books which is leading to good family discussions. I can't wait to see how this trilogy is wrapped up.

Hmm

The second book keeps you on your toes just like the first book. Carol, will, and eric battle good and evil. To make carol see the light. At the end... you will have to read the book to find this out. Definitely looking forward to the third book.
You will not be disappointed reading this series...it's at a different view point of vampires and good and evil.
