Because he’ll kill anybody who touches a hair on Faye’s head—if she doesn’t get to them first. One way or another, tonight’s going to be someone’s last ride….
4.5 Stars. Even as this plot gets more and more involved, I am finding myself quite hooked by the cast of characters. Simply put Faye is a bad@$$ and I effing love her. I'll take a strong heroine over an alpha hero any day and when it's both? Forget about it! :-p There are lots of major plot movements with this one and it just gets juicier and juicier. I almost feel like grabbing some popcorn to watch it all play out. There is a kidnapping, a new betrayal, an old betrayal discovered and avenged, new members, new leadership, some ass kicking, some love making/assorted sexy times, and more. You can say I was definitely entertained and I look forward to the next. Safety: No OW/OM/Sharing. Yes to abuse. No to rape.
Faye is the love of my life. I've never really been a romantic, or one to believe in soul mated and shit, but that woman was made for me. A hundred fuckin' percent. And without her...
This was a great short story for Dex and Faye who we loved in Dragon's Lair...well I loved! I enjoyed that we got to read again about their family and life in and out of the club of Wind Dragon's MC...
I loved Dex and how amazing he was with his woman and kids...He loved and adored the ground Faye walked on...He loved her crazy side and of course the badass side as well....I mean who wouldn't want a strong, independent and smart woman who took care of her family and the club as well....
The queen was missing, and we need to find her, real fuckin' quick, before I blow up this whole motherfuckin' city...
And she was in fact the queen in the MC club. The whole brotherhood loved her and would do anything for her...I really liked the family they created in the Wind Dragon...Every member had his family outside the club and they were a unit together against the world...
Faye was a crazy smart lawyer...Ready to defend every member in the club...She was so strong, funny, lovable and could kick your ass any time of the day...But she was also a wife and a mother...
"I'm a Gemini. I have two sides. One everyone likes, and the other...not so much."
Another fact that I liked in this book was that we got a chance to see the previous characters too and how close they were with each other...And a few new members too...
But every man has a weakness, and right now, mine is fuckin' missing. My fuckin' heart is missing.
For a quick read, this book had so much going on. Faye faces danger like the badass woman she is. The guys step up for their queen and through it all, the passion between Faye and Dex is just as strong as it was in the first book. Years later and their love is stronger than ever. And no matter what dangers come knocking Faye is there to be the old lady that helps the Wind Dragon women AND the Wind Dragon men.
She’s the ultimate heroine - she can kick butt and make jokes and win over everyone’s heart.
I've read most of this series and without a doubt the first book 'Dragon's Lair' has been my favourite. This book features the same two characters Sin and Faye, the president and his queen. It also has the rest of the gang as well, it's a short read at only 103 pages but it's fabulous and entertaining, it never lets up, the story is good plus it has a couple of surprises as well (one was obvious the other was not) In 'Dragon's Lair' Faye was new to the whole MC way of life, in all the books since we've seen her grow and adapt into the role of queen and now in 'Last Ride' we see her in the role she's made her own and how much everyone depends on her. Faye's a fabulous kickass character, she's intelligent, funny, kind, compassionate, sexy...the list goes on and on. Sin is just as hot and sexy now as he was before and it's great to see these two just as much in love as they were when Clover was born.
I become giddy when I get to read a new Chantal Fernando's MC book. She has taken us on an exceptional MC ride making her characters special to me.
In the Last Ride, she takes us one more time back to the characters we love: Faith and Dex "Sin" Black.
As a heroine, Faith is truly an amazing one. She's funny, romantic, obsessed with cleaning, but she also knows how to throw a knife, disarm a man, and shoot a gun like any of the guys. The guys love and respect her. She has become like a sister to them. I would even say that they pamper her. Additionally, Faith would do anything for the club and she has grown into a great old lady, leading by example.
Sin, the President of the Wind Dragons, loves his woman very much. She's not only the mother of his children but his lover and her support is something he needs. When she's kidnapped, let's just say he's not sure how to live without her. Rescuing her and bringing her back to the MC home is the only thought in his head. He will stop at nothing until his woman is back in his arms.
Splendid novella! Faith and Sin have great chemistry. They get along better than ever. The best part was to be able to see the rest of the crew through Faith's eyes. She has developed such a close relationship with the "old ladies" and she wants her MC family to be safe and happy. It's was funny to see the guys asking her for advice. I kept smiling throughout the story.
I think there are only two more single guys. Not sure what I'm going to do when The Wind Dragon series ends :(

A sexy, wild, intense quick novella. Chantal Fernando has slowly tied in the last installment of the Wind Dragons MC Series as Talon tries to find the secret mole and traitor in his club, Wild Men with the help of Sin and Faye in the Last Ride. It is not advised to read this novella as a standalone since this novella is a continuation of the plot line of what is happening in the clubhouse and also a follow-up on the couple that started off this series: Sin and Faye.
If you have read Chantal Fernando’s previous books then you are all aware that Faye is no wallflower. This old lady is tough as nails and is so fiercely protective of her family, Sin, and the club. So when trouble arises and Talon asked her husband to help root out the traitor, Sin and Faye are willing to help. But their help comes at a price when Faye finds herself in trouble and in danger. How far will Sin go to protect and get his woman? Will this be the last ride for this beloved couple?
This novella was somewhat a bittersweet feeling and somewhat a goodbye in a sense to one of my favorite MC series. It seems as everyone is settling down, Faye and Sin are too also settling down and reevaluating what is the most important thing for them and that is their family. As Chantal smoothly transitions the finale of this series in the next upcoming final book, readers are given a sense that these bad boy bikers are ready too for their last ride as they each settled down with their own lady. So if you are looking for one thrilling and sexy followup with Sin and Faye then this novella might be for you. Just remember Sin and Faye are the couple that started this series so it’s fitting that Chantal Fernando gives us one last ride to see how far this couple has come along.
When i saw that Faye and Dex (aka Sin) are going to have another installment from their point of view i was ecstatic, the author once again didn't disappoint even for a quick read she created a fantastic plot filled with lots of suspense, action, enjoyable dialogues, hot scenes and the appearance of all the previous characters who i adore to read about.
Once again the one and only hot Alpha Dex will work his magic and will leave his permanent mark in our hearts, so will Faye of course with her sassy character. One last mission for Dex is to find the traitor in Wild Men MC and the his wife's kidnapper...
This part believe me is intense, dynamic screaming perfection all the way through the end, totally recommend it and generally the series!! Of course now I'm looking forward to the next beauty the author will create!!

Dragon's Lair is one of my favs. I loved Faye and Sin in book 1 and to read another book about Faye becoming even more of badass and Sin even more sexy was Awesome!! I am sooo happy they got another small book giving them a continued HEA and ending this series perfectly. Loved it!
5 It was the end of an era stars. I began this series with these two characters, Faye and Dex (Sin), which began the era and this book showed them several years later when the era truly ended. This book circled everyone around which was great and also had some unexpected twists with new members of the club that I absolutely loved! I loved seeing Faye and Dex a few years into their marriage and the club over the course of several years. It was a great way to kind of bring it all full circle, ending with the beginning. I'm going to admit that before I read this I re-read the first book in the series to compare how far both Dex and Faye have come since the beginning.
Dex kisses me again, then exists the kitchen, mock-punching Rake on the way out. Rake comes up to me and rests his head on my shoulder. "You know if the skilled you, I don't know what would've happened to Dex. You make him so fuckin' happy, Faye. It's so amazing to see, even after all these years."
This story shows a deep look into Faye and Dex's bond over the course of their marriage. It shows how Faye has not only accepted club life but also embraced it and loved all the members and their significant others. The novella also shows how Dex has matured and grown since the first book, as well. It is kind of a love letter to their relationship, giving one last intimate look into the amazing couple and love story that kicked off the series I fell in love with.
"Why are you making your sex face?" Dex asks as he wanders in, taking the rest of the quiche from my hands and popping it into his mouth. "Ohhh," he groans. "That's why. These are amazing." "Well, yes, they are, but I was thinking about us going for a ride tomorrow and then fucking on your bike somewhere."
He stills, smiles, then pulls me against him. "That sounds fuckin' perfect. How did I get so lucky?"
There's club drama, kidnapping, shooting and some serious bad blood as is custom when in the club life. There's hints of the sweeter side of the rough and alpha men in the Wind Dragons as well as the reality that Faye is seen as the glue that keeps everyone together. It's great to see just how much the brothers have not only accepted Faye, but also love and respect her. Each one of them at some point or another in this story shows their love and need of her. It's also great to see Dex in his element and what his ultimate choice is when the last ride is chosen. The ending was bittersweet because it truly was the end of an era.
Faye and Sin's book introduced me to The Wind Dragons MC series, and when I read they were getting a novella I was super excited! And what a ride this was! It was action packed, but I was also able to see all the other members that I've come to love throughout the series. How they've all grown and continue to have unconditional love for one another.
Faye maybe Sin's woman and mother to Clover and Asher, but she's the one person everyone turned to for help or advice. She always had something to say and a lot of times she had no filter, but that's why she's so approachable. I loved seeing that even though the years have passed, the passion between Sin and Faye hadn't dwindled. They loved each other fiercely and Sin still did anything for Faye. He supported her with every decision she made and was a terrific father to their children.
Last Ride had draw dropping moments, conflict and was a bit of a game changer. A few new members were patched in and changes were made within the MC. It was great to see the whole gang again and how they've grown into their own family. Chantal Fernando continues to hook me to this world and the characters she's created, and I'm looking forward to what she brings us next... hopefully Ronan!!

The Wind Dragons MC series is one of my favorite biker series and now Sin and Faye are back in this novella! I was super excited to read from their points of view again.
This book brings another adventure for the Wind Dragons and it kept me reading until the end. I was excited to finally find out who the traitor was in the other club. Faye has always been kick ass, but she really shows what she is made of in this novella. Sin was also back and badass. He would do anything for Faye, and you see that in this book.
This novella was short, but it had a lot packed in. It was great to read about these bikers again and to see them after they’ve found their loves. I am looking forward to reading Ranger’s book next! ~ Leah, 5 Stars
Maybe I am missing something here but this book just did not do it for me as much as the others in the series did.
The first quarter of the book is a recap of who is who and trying to update you on what is going on. It was confusing and frankly, a bit boring. Maybe a Cast of Characters in front would be better served than to try and update us on 10 different guys, their wives, and kids.
Don't get me wrong, once you finally get into the meat of the story, it was engaging and good. But to me, still not a good as the other books prior.
I like the character of Faye. But in this book she comes across as everyone's' big sister or mom figure and most of the book was her chitchatting with the other members and not a whole bunch of action going on. However, the action that was there was fabulous. I wish there was more of that and less general conversation.
Faye and Sin together are hot as are some of the other connections the author has created, but this book seems like it was more talk and less action, MC wise, and heat wise.
The author did create a good story with some surprises and some humor too. A bit of grit, darkness and some sexy spicy parts brought together for an entertaining read. I enjoyed the series overall, but this one was not a favorite.
I have loved every one of the Wind Dragon Mc’s men and the strong women that they have come to love but all of this began with Dex/Sin and Faye’s story. The memories that have been brought up with Faye and the men she has grown close to are fun to go back and relive. The humor that has been written in this book serves as a release to the trials they all have gone through at some time. There are some surprises in this book that will have you checking back just to make sure what you read was true and then you will have that one last surprise in the book that the name represents.
I am waiting on my books for Talon and Ranger and know if their stories are anything like the rest of the Wind Dragons I won’t be disappointed. This whole MC has become like family with all of the heartaches, deaths, births, and joys which makes this is a series that I don’t want to see end.
I wish I could rate this book a 3.75 for it was a good read. I admit I like edgier action in my stories and Last Ride came off more suburban biker romance. Which is fine but not what flips my trigger. I did like the fact it was written in a woman's POV but at times did feel contrived.
Faye and Sin were living their lives, family and the MC are their everything and all they want in life. Faye is busy with the man she loves, their two kids and being a lawyer and all is a great till one day something horrible happens to Faye. Sin can only think of getting her safe and by his side, nothing else matters. Faye while being scared trusts her husband to take care of through it all. But even when that crisis is averted trouble is right around the corner for Faye and Sin is waiting to get revenge.
I liked this book, I've loved this series from the beginning so I knew I wanted to read it right away. I didn't quite like that Faye seems to be the center of everything. And I get it this is her story and from her point of view(and Sin's) and he's the mc president but at times it came off as all things revolve around her( if that makes sense ). I did like this book it's short and to the point and I didn't guess the bag guy which I tend to do in books. I will say that something huge happens in this book that really surprised me, and I think this book was needed to show it because it's big, and it really surprised me.
We get to see everyone in this including the kids which was nice, and I'm excited to see who's book is next and what all will happen with this big change that happens in this book because it will change a lot. It was fun to catch up with everyone in this one and it's a nice quick read for anyone who is a fan of this series like I am.

I was a little dubious about reading this book as I enjoyed Dex and Faye's first book so much and revisiting couples in books doesn't always work for me. Guess what? I LOVED it. Faye is just perfect, she's the perfect matchmaker, troublemaker, wife, mother, friend and most of all she's the perfect character to read about. She is such a strong character, she's got a fantastic sense of humour and she's got an edge that makes her the perfect wife for the President of an MC. She is a total bad ass, I love her. Chantal has written the perfect storyline for Faye. It's got some super hot scenes with Dex, lots of action, a few twists and turns and an outcome I would never have predicted. Faye's interactions with the club members and their girls are priceless. Thoroughly enjoyable and a must read for all Wind Dragon Fans. I was hoping this book would redeem this series for me, sadly it didn't.
The characters are very likable and the story is well told but it just feels a tad fake. When writing a MC story some authors go overboard with the angst an de the darkness, some find a balance between the gritty parts of MC life and the idiosyncrasies of day to day life while others sell you a fairy tale with "badass" bikers that are more like wannabe badasses, in this case it was the latter.
As I said, it all felt fake, like a bunch of friends who have nicknames, ride motorcycles and wear cuts, everything felt very play-acting. Some of the things that caused me conflict were:
1. The MC changing, I don't know if this is real, but my internet research, books on the subject and Sons of Anarchy have taught me that "once you're in, your sin for life", the fact that Talon and Ranger switched clubs was so fake for me, it felt like an excuse to add Talon to have another book, and lo and behold the next one is his book.
2. Again, my knowledge comes from popular media but as far as I know MC brothers only call themselves by their road-names not their actual name, unless they're alone and for very intimate stuff.
3. Faye gets kidnaped by a more ridiculous MC and they do nothing to her. Again, I know that some wort tees don't want to get nitty gritty with dark themes but they could've slapped her around a bit and asked her for information to take advantage of having her there. It's simply unrealistic, they had her to make Sin suffer no to ransom, holding her in a chair with no food is not exactly what a real life villain would do, again it was unrealistic.
4. After Sin the badass biker so eloquently declares " they’ll have nothing left of their club left." he just lets he guys that kidnaped the love of his life be, he just demands for them to leave the city, I mean, the guy clearly said there was not going to be nothing left of their club left, he sounded quite serious but I guess he wasn't.
5. They trust so easily. They trust the MC members they just threatened won't thwart their efforts to save Faye ('cause they've proved they can play fair and are so trustworthy. NOT.); they trust Talon's former MC isn't on it because Talon asked (since bad guys are going to reveal their plans if you ask nicely); and finally they let the psychotic brother live and in Sin's badass words they'll "handle it somehow,”
6. Faye working for "the Feds" was beyond ridiculous, she clearly wasn't consultant material, she would've never pased the inicial screening, she couldn't even be an informant since she would never share any info on the club that was her family.
Overall it felt like a bunch of kids running around with guns and lots of leather playing Sons of Anarchy after watching an episode without adult supervision.

Man, it was great to get more of Sin & Faye. While I've loved everyone in this series, these two will always hold a special place in my heart. I've enjoyed getting bits and pieces of the them in the past few books but I forgot just how much I missed them until Last Ride. I guess you can read this as a standalone but I would recommend that you at least go and read Dragon's Lair so you can get their story from the beginning. You don't want to miss out on that, trust me.
Sin is the president of Wild Dragons MC and his life has changed over the past few years. He's married to Faye and has children. One by one, the boys of the Wild Dragons have been falling in love and moving towards having families. They've settled into a balance of keeping the club as the top MC and making sure their families are loved and cared for.
When a new member to the MC brings drama to the club, Faye's life becomes in danger. There's nothing Sin won't do to protect her. She's everything to him. This journey is about undying love, protection and loyalty.
While I love Sin as a whole, I love his undying love for Faye. You can tell that he's madly in love and would do anything for his family. His heart is bigger than we could have ever imagine and when Faye it put in danger, you really got to see his vulnerable side. Nothing makes your heart bleed more than a strong man scared for the life of the one he loves. The pure pain and fear is heart breaking.
Now, let's talk about Faye. She truly is the Queen Bee of the MC. Every single person loves her. She has such a great sense of humor and in her own way is pretty much the mother of the club. Sure, she can instigate drama with the best of them and her methods are sometimes unconventional but she truly holds everyone's respect and love. She's intelligent and has remained working as a lawyer. But overall, she's just a badass. She's strong and she doesn't take shit from anyone. I love watching the different relationships that she has with the other men in the MC and how they play out. She has the right balance not only for her and Sin but for the rest of the MC family as well.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. If you are looking for MC drama with a whole lot of family love and good laughs, then this is the book for you. You don't want to miss out on more Sin and Faye!

You know, when you’re reading a novella, there truly isn’t much you can say because you don’t want to spoil things or give anything away. Last Ride brings us back to the MC couple that started it all. And their novella does not disappoint. It’s got all the elements that I have come to know and love in a Chantal Fernando novel. You’ve got bad ass bikers and lots of action. There’s danger and exciting twists and turns. You’ll be left on the edge of your seat, waiting breathlessly to see how it will all play out….
Yes, Last Ride might just be a quick read, but it certainly packs a punch. This book entertained me and kept me engaged the entire time. This story took me on one thrilling ride and I enjoyed every single second of it.

This was perfect in wrapping up some stories and making things come full circle. But it was also a little lacking on meat for some things that could have been actual magic. So while I really enjoyed this little peak back into this world it was missing a spark that would have made it something more.
" . . . They don't have it in them to come after me, Faye. Without me and Ranger, their MC is just an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting."
Faye is a bad ass and funny but gets her self in trouble and needs Dex/Sin to have her back. With the potential loss of Faye and his world Sin's loyalty is put to the test. In the end his family is number one. He will always be part of the MC but doesn't need to lead them. What he needs is his family. Well what he has left of them.
This was a sweet novella which helped tie some story lines together. It also builds up future stories with example Ranger or Ronan. Even though it was sweet at times it also came across as over the top with how Faye deals with things. However, its nice to see that she's the glue that holds that MC together and when that's threatened it could be end of an era. Thankfully the Wind Dragons wouldn't let that happen.
This novella had some suspense and twists which keeps you guessing and helping us get excited for what is to come. I can't wait for more from this series
Faye has become one of my favorite heroines. She is a complete woman. She has managed to balance being the old lady to the president of a major MC, being a mother, friend, partner, wife, friend and at the same time the toughest of all the girls in the group. She transmits confidence, love and friendship just by being her. I love her.
