A High Octane Thriller

Terry Keys has done it again when it comes to writing gripping murder mysteries. Brittany Foy, known as Widowmaker, is out for retribution against the men who committed a brutal act against her, years ago, at a bachelor party, but the plot becomes even more intense when Detective David Porter’s past catches up with him, revealing a scandalous secret and its connection to the past kidnapping of his wife, a detective, and now his younger daughter. The well-written narrative depicts manipulation, deceit, betrayal, infidelity, shocking revelations, terror, torture and murder, and twists and turns that will take you on a roller coaster ride. The villainous characters and various locales keep the plot moving, building up to an ending that will leave you flabbergasted, reminding us that the choices you make today may cost you big time tomorrow. Fans of the character, Alex Cross will take great pleasure in reading this crime story.

Maximum Guilt by Terry Keys continues the story from Book 1 of the David Porter thriller; it is not standalone and takes no time to get back into chasing his daughter’s abductor and rapist serial killer. Will the detective arrive in time to save his daughter and catch the killer?

Terry Keys writes the best stories. As with the first, Maximum Guilt is loaded with twists, new modus operandi, and many surprises. Unlike the first book, the dialog is a bit contrived, especially between Porter and his wife, and he and his younger daughter, Karen. I also found Stacy’s death too convenient. Aside from that, this is a hold-on-to-your-hat read. Once you stop, you just cannot put it down.

In the final chapters, new characters are introduced for the third book in the trilogy, that I immediately download to find out what perversions await for Detective Porter. I am sure I will not be disappointed.

I could not put this down! I read the 3 book series in two days. It was more violent than I like, and quite graphic, but in spite of that, I had to keep going & find out what happened to the characters!

Good sequel to the first one. A few glaring mistakes made. Other than that, good story. Recommended.

Couldn't wait to sink my eyes into the follow up tale to Chained Guilt. The author delivered another fantastic thriller.

I was slightly disappointed in the ending at first...I guess I would have liked to see Stacy suffer a bit. It seemed a bit unfair given all she had done to Miranda and the violence she unleashed on those she killed throughout the book that there wasn't some sort of retribution. Although after a few hours passed I found myself thinking, "Actually, that was the perfect ending for the characters in the book."

If you like cat and mouse chase-style stories grab a copy of Chained Guilt and Maximum Guilt. You won't be disappointed.

Super interesting, captivating, thrilling...a real page turner. It was very entertaining unlike the first book of this series. Got to know a real detective side of the protagonist in this book which was not at all seen in the first.
