A wonderful story; unbelievably wonderful. I hope I'll never come across such a book or story in any language throughout my whole lifetime. What are virtue and sin in their actual meaning? Amabasyara Chandra so beautifully describes the above two phenomena called virtue and sin. Author's depth of knowledge about a set of things is quite visible. Overall a must read. Haven't got enough name, fame and readership which it deserves. Needs to be translated for a wide viewership.
The book title roughly translates to "The Moon on a Moonless Night" was written by Barrister Gobinda Das, Bar at Law Lincoln's Inn and first Odia to practice at the Supreme Court of India. A well-written commentary on sin and virtue also displays the knowledge and ain depth understanding of the author towards the concept.
The storyline goes to question the societal yardstick to discriminate a sinner from a virtuous person. It tries to put forth arguments that, what we see is just the tip of the iceberg and the reality lies far below the ocean surface.
This is easily the best fiction I have ever read. This book deals with number of complex issues. But the one that stands out is the value of 'sin and virtue' in different circumstances. If you are desperate to read a good book this is the one.
