Show Me How

Rate this book
New York Times bestselling author Molly McAdams delivers another heart-wrenching, emotional novel in her Thatch series…

After her first love was ripped from her grasp four years earlier, Charlie Easton was sure she would never be able to trust anyone with the shattered pieces of her heart again. That is, until Deacon Carver forces himself into her life, and makes those pieces swirl in chaos. But Charlie doesn't know how to let him in… until a stranger stumbles upon a notebook filled with her innermost secrets, and shows her how.

Deacon Carver is known for sleeping his way through the town of Thatch, as well as the surrounding cities—something he used to take pride in. But that persona has haunted Deacon ever since he decided to leave that life behind for the girl he wants more than anything: Charlie Easton.

Molly grew up in California but now lives with her husband and daughter in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach . . . which roughly translates to being a homebody and dishing out movie quotes with her hubby. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and loves curling up in a fluffy blanket during a thunderstorm . . . or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.

Show Me How is a wonderful addition to Molly McAdams’ Thatch series. In it we get to delve into the lives of characters that we know from the previous books in the series – Charlie and Deacon. The road these two have to travel to find their way is an emotional one, filled with missteps, but so, so rewarding.

Charlie has returned to Thatch after college and is focused on one thing and one thing only: getting custody of her three year old son, Keith. She gets a job, she sets up a home for she and Keith, doing everything required to make sure Keith is finally hers even as she continues to grieve for Ben, Keith’s father and her only love. Being back in Thatch brings her face to face with Deacon and her heart is telling her that maybe she can love another.

"As I grew up and my reading material grew with me,
my standards for my Prince Charming morphed, but
never lessened. I was so sure I would find my Prince Charming,
even if he wasn't as princely as I'd dreamed when I was a little girl."

Deacon has always been known among his friends as the king of the one night stands. A guy who’s had to stretch his conquests beyond the bounds of Thatch because he’s slept his way through most every girl there. He’s not even sure that love really exists – certainly not for him. So why is it that he can’t stop thinking about Charlie?

The growth in both Charlie and Deacon was so well done and I loved seeing how far they’d come, even though it wasn’t an easy journey. Through misunderstandings and mistakes and fears, two people who were convinced that a forever love was not possible, find their way to just that.

I enjoyed the fact that previous characters in the series played such prominent roles in Charlie and Deacon’s story. Jagger and Grey, Knox and Harlow, Graham – they were all here and made for such a richer story. And then there was Keith. I’ve never been a fan of small children in books. They are usually too precious and too precocious for words and the over the top cute factor leaves me cold. Not so here. Keith was a little bundle of energy and laughs and was so adorable that I couldn’t help but be completely charmed. His talk of ‘supapowers’ with Deacon made me smile every time and whenever he mentioned ‘the grassy place’ my heart hurt. McAdams managed to make Keith a completely believable three year old little boy that lit up every scene he was in.

The epilogue was just perfect and had me teary-eyed. The fact that it was in Deacon’s point of view made it that much more poignant. I’m sad this is the last entry in the Thatch series because I would love to return to this cast of characters again and again.

Note: Show Me How is the third in a companion series. It can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for a richer experience and to better understand the relationships between characters.

Show Me How is the final book in the Thatch series. It is listed as #2.5.

On goodreads it shows that this book is only 100 pages. But on amazon it is listed as 243 pages. Since I read it as an e-book I can't tell exactly how many pages are in this book. But it is definitely not 100 pages. So most likely 243 pages is correct.

This book is a New Adult contemporary romance.

I read and loved book two in the series (To The Stars). Show Me How can be read as a standalone. Each book has different narrators. But characters from the previous books do appear in this book. So I wouldn't read the books out of order.

This book has two narrators. The first is 22 year old Charlie (girl). Charlie's brother is Jagger from the first book (which I did not read - although he was also in To The Stars).

When the book begins Charlie has just returned home to Thatch after being away at college.

Having not read the first book I was still familiar with a lot of characters from both books. So I knew Jagger, Grey, Graham, Deacon, Knox... But I was not familiar with Charlie's story. And I was unsure how much of it was mentioned in book one. Regardless the author does fill in a lot of the blanks from book one and two so that you can read this book without having read the previous books. However, I did spend some time at the beginning of the book wondering how much others knew about Charlie and her past (which was quite interesting).

The second narrator is 26 year old Deacon. He is Graham (Grey's brother) and Knox's best friend. He is a man-whore. How he acts at the beginning of the story is very interesting.

I definitely enjoyed this book. However, a plot device was used that I just read in another book very recently. But other than that there was much to like about this story.

There is a 3-4 year old boy in this story who makes this book. He is so sweet and adorable. And I loved everything he said and did.

I liked Charlie a lot. And I really enjoyed learning about her past. Some of it was very surprising.

Overall, this book was very appealing. We get to see more of many of the characters from the previous books. Good ending to the series.

Thanks to edelweiss and William Morrow for allowing me to read this book.

This was another gorgeous tale from Molly McAdams. I loved it so much that I devoured it in one day. "Show Me How" was a truly beautiful story that made me swoon like crazy and left my heart bursting at the seams.

"I'd never been haunted by a girl the way you haunt me, Charlie Easton."

When it came to love, poor Charlie Easton had suffered an awful experience that had left it almost impossible for her to trust and unwilling to giver her heart away so easily again. Charlie was adamant that the next boy that she fell in love with was going to be someone special. Charlie longed for a real life Prince Charming to sweep her off her feet and she was not going to settle for anything less. Charlie had set her standards extremely high, but when I learned of her past heartbreak, I couldn't blame her at all. Deacon was the exact opposite of the kinda guy that Charlie needed in her life. An eternal playboy with a dislike for love, children and any kind of commitment. In fact, Deacon didn't even believe in love so when Charlie reenters his world, there was no way in a million years that anyone could envision the pair together. He just did not appear to be the man for Charlie.

"This is usually the part of the book where the hero kisses the girl."
"I don't know how to be that hero, Charlie Girl."

I absolutely loved watching this story play out. As soon as I began reading, I found myself feeling sorry for Charlie. She was a sweet girl who had been treated so badly. When I first met Deacon, my opinion of him was quite low. His attitude made me angry, however as the story progressed, I was soon changing my mind. By the time that I reached the second half, I was rooting for him every step of the way. I adored the change in Deacon and seeing what was happening between him and Charlie melted my heart. The more that I read, the more I fell for Deacon. By the end, I was madly in love with him.

"Don't give me your heart, Charlie Girl.
I'll break it without even trying."

Although I loved both of the main characters in this book, it was a secondary character that completely owned my heart. Kieth was the most delightful character and he kept me entertained throughout the entire story. Seeing the relationship that formed between Keith and Deacon gave me so much joy. For me, Keith was the character that stole the show.

Charlie and Deacon's story was the most perfect way to conclude the series and Molly finished it off with a stunning epilogue that was the icing on the cake. I have loved everything about this final instalment. If you are in need of a book that will fill your heart with happiness, look no further. Go and one-click this beautiful story. I am certain that you will not be disappointed.

"I loved the way he loved me, even if he didn't realize it."

Charlie's childhood crush shattered her heart and she can't even confront him anymore. She's now freshly out of college and is ready to move into her own place together with her little boy Keith. The last thing she wants is to fall in love. She writes her deepest thoughts in a notebook instead. When Charlie's brother's best friend Deacon is angry with her Charlie has no idea why. As soon as he finds out the truth about her past, his feelings about her change. Only Deacon is the town's bad boy and he's slept with a lot of different women. Will Charlie be safe with him? And who is the person who keeps writing her back in her notebook? They clearly have a connection she wants to explore. Which future should she choose and which one will be the best for her little boy?

Show Me How is a complicated romantic story. Charlie's been hurt in the past. She was too young to understand true love and made a mistake. She doesn't regret her decisions though, because she got something amazing in return, her son Keith. Keith is a sweet kid and the way he speaks is endearing. Charlie loves him with all her heart and she's a kind and caring person. She wants to protect Keith and fortunately Deacon is the same. He's great with Keith and I enjoyed reading their conversations a lot, they're adorable. Deacon has strong emotions and sometimes he acts before he knows the entire story. I liked his impulsiveness and his ability to feel so deeply. He isn't kind at first, but there's a good guy below the bad image he has. I couldn't wait to find out what would happen between Charlie and Deacon. Especially since there's also Charlie's notebook and her growing attachment to the mysterious writer she likes so much. I loved this idea and was curious to see how the story would end. I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough.

Molly McAdams has written an interesting series with many great characters. She writes about a close group of friends and family. Their connections are often complex and that made reading about them moving as well as compelling. I really liked the way Molly McAdams writes about their emotions. She describes them through actions, dialogue and inner thoughts in a meaningful way that either made my heart ache or melt. I loved Show Me How, it's a fascinating small town love story with a lot of charming intrigues.

Stranger?
Words?

Charlie is trying to be a good mother while mourning the loss of her first love and father of her young son when the handsome charmer known as Deacon  the town man whore bust into her quiet and peaceful world. Deacon doesn't believe in happy ever after, hates kids, and it's the exact opposite of sweet and quiet Charlie who would love to go invisible through her life. She spends her free time writing in her journal saying the things that she will never say out loud, until the day she accidentally leaves it and a stranger stumbled upon it. Strangers everything she could ask for sweet, caring, romantic, and seems to be an all-around great guy the only problem she has no idea who it is. Meanwhile we learn that Deacon would love to break free from the reputation he has spent years earning, and the man that hates kids and doesn't believe in happy ever Afters can't seem to stay away from Charlie and her son Keith. We find the two slowly falling for eachother even if they don't know it but while Charlie may be developing feelings for Deacon, stranger is always in the back of her mind and Deacon isn't exactly being honest with Charlie because he too has a woman that he's sharing his secrets with. As feelings for each other grow they both know they must give up one or the other but the only problem is who should it be? Should Charlie give her now healed heart to Deacon or should she give it to the man who healed it? Should Deacon take a chance on Charlie or should he go after the girl who lets him be himself and frees him from his past?

This was a wonderful book filled with saddness and laughter, that answers the question we have all asked ourself, which makes a better friend a bear or a shark? and find out the truth about ladybugs that will blow your mind!

I absolutely adore Molly McAdams. She knows love. She knows how to rip out your heart and then sew it back together Christina Yang style. She knows how to write a good triangle forcing you to choose a team like you're behind the gates at Monday Night Raw's main event and it's John Cena vs. The Rock. But I digress.....

Show Me How concludes the emotional roller coaster that is the Thatch Series - Letting Go and To The Stars being the first two, which I recommend you read or you will be lost. Without being too spoilery (that's a word, right?) if you've enjoyed Molly's books before you won't be disappointed with this one. In the simplest of terms, Show Me How causes you to understand true redemption, that being invisible isn't nearly as easy as you think it is, and Darth Vader always wins over ladybugs.

Will SMH cause you to ugly cry? I think it depends on your state of mind and where you relate to the characters. I didn't - but only 3 books have ever made the water works occur for me, one of them being a Molly book (2 guesses as to which one it was).

You'll get to see old characters (which is why you need to read the other two books) and supporting story lines get solid closure. You can expect humor, vulnerability, loyalty, turbulence and passion. Key essentials for a Molly book. Have the tissues on the nightstand just in case. You never know when your superpowers might be in jeopardy.

***Read Letting Go and To The Stars before reading this book!***
Absolutely loved this story!!! Charlie is my home girl. We actually share a few similarities....single mom, crazy situations. Thankfully, I didn't have to deal with death the way she did. I really identified with her in so many ways.
Show Me How is such a sweet, heartfelt love story. Molly's story telling just gets better and better, and of course she knows how to bring the tears! No, not Chapter 13 type tears.

Was I the only one that felt cheated? The only thing I loved about this book was Keith...he was awesome. The story just fell flat for me. Charlie goes from only loving Ben to really wanting Deac...but why? Deacon hates Charlie than wants her...but why? There was no real character or story building, no reasoning as to what was going on.

Charlie has just come home from college. She is still trying to figure out how to trust anyone with her heart as well her son Keith's as well. Then there is Deacon. He is known for getting around with women of Thatch and doesn't know if he will ever be able to shake that but he is willing to try for Charlie though. Will these two be able to get past their issues to make it work. This book was short, sweet and had so many of the things I love in books, such as:

Small Town Setting

I am such a sucker for a good small town setting. Thatch is one of the best. Everyone knows everyone, is hardworking, there are the local places to eat where everyone goes one what seems to be a regular schedule and most things seem in walking distance. I adore the sense of community you could feel when reading it.

Adorable Non-Annoying Child

Charlie has the most adorable little boy, Keith. He is obsessed with superheroes and talks in such a cute way. I love when kids can add to the story and not just be an annoying distraction.

Heaps of Character Growth

This goes for Charlie and Deacon. We see Charlie really stand up for herself more and more throughout the story as well as open herself up. Deacon finally got to the point that sleeping around so much wasn't what he wanted to do and focused on Charlie. He also was so amazing with Keth even though he wasn't a giant fan of kids.

Romance

LOVED this romance. There was a little of the Hate to Love trope used in the beginning. Man Deacon made me mad but he totally redeemed himself. There was definite chemistry between the two the whole time and I loved watching them together. There was also another trope I have seen recently used here (I won't say as to not spoil it) that I kind of loved.

I hadn't picked a Molly McAdams book in a while before this one and will absolutely be reading the others in this series. As this is the last in the series I can say I read it as a stand alone just fine but the other books probably help give more background on all the characters involved. Overall I came to love Charlie and Deacon and their group of friends and glad I have more books to visit them in.

3.75 Twisted Good Stars!

The queen of love triangles is back but this love triangle has a twist.

Charlie has had some bad luck where it comes to the hands she's been given and it doesn't help that her brothers best friend Deacon hates her. Thankfully she has the sweetest son that you can't help but fall in love with him.

Deacon has had life pretty easy but his friends not seeing past his player ways is getting old. Deacon used to adore Charlie but can't respect her choices (Even though he doesn't know most of them)

"No, Deac. But that's all you'll be until you're ready to force them to see something different."

Deacon doesn't want to forgive Charlie but he's forced to finally see more of her, especially through the eyes of her son Keith.

"I've never been haunted by a girl the way you haunt me, Charlie Easton. It wasn't because I hadn't had you, or because I knew I shouldn't. That knowledge and everything I felt scared the shit out of me, and I knew I had to do something to put an end to it. So, yes, I fucked up. I will apologize forever if I have to, but know that I've never hated myself, or how I am, more than I did that day. And you? All I saw was you, more than ever."

For Charlie her outlet is writing and when she finds a mystery wordsmith she immediately becomes smitten but that holds her progress on the blooming re-kindled friendship between her and Deacon.

" . . .But I don't want to be that guy. I'm never going to get away from my past if you don't let me. So fucking let me. Let me just be Deacon."

With some realizations Deacon comes to term that he is more than he thought he could be, but his road to the new Deacon is a bit bumpy. Deacon has never liked kids but Keith gets under his skin that he can't get away from. Now he just has to find his heart.

"This kid. This goddamn kid. How could he break my heart and make me want to scoop him up while talking about grass?"

Gah! Keith stole my heart in this book and the whole show really. He truly makes the story and is the bridge for Deacon and Charlie to find their way to each other. Often authors miss the mark when trying to portray the psyche of children but I felt Molly nailed Keith in all elements and you can't not fall in love with this kid.

"Do you understand me, Charlie girl? I want your heart. I want it all."

It's been quite awhile since I read a Molly McAdams book and I'm so glad that I did because Keith burrowed his way into my heart and didn't let go until I had my HEA. There was a nice twist that helps you to be engaged but at the same time frustrates you because you see whats happening before the characters do and then get irked that they can't see what we see.

This series is growing on me more and more. I can't wait for more from this series and Molly.

I've been waiting for more Charlie crumbs since Letting Go, waiting for more on Graham/Deacon since To The Stars, and this book delivered everything and more.

Deacon... Sometimes you just wanna grab Deacon by the neck and whip him into shape. You would think he would have learned his lesson after judging Harlow so harshly, but no, here he goes again, judging Charlie without knowing her whole story.

If you haven't read Letting Go, take a break now and go read it, cause you need all the background on Charlie, I promise it's worth it, and there's the little fact that Jagger and Grey's story is AMAZING! So, yes, definitely read that first.

Charlie can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. She's had to go through so much, but she can finally see herself living with her son and raising him as her own. She won't let anything get in the way of that. Meanwhile, Deacon starts to see that he's not as content just going through all the girls as he used to be.

While Deacon hates on Charlie and Charlie tries to be invisible, their paths start to cross more and more. Charlie starts feeling things she doesn't want to towards Deacon, because Deacon has all the power to break her heart again.

I love more than anything that both these characters are in completely different places, but also in exactly the same place. They don't think much of themselves, they feel stuck in this image that's been created for them.

The Words/Stranger relationship helps them learn more about themselves, helps them see they're worth more than the box they have let themselves be put into.

Through this and this new relationship they're building with each other, Charlie is finally able to open her heart again and let Deacon in. Deacon, who had thought himself incapable of love, finds himself opening his heart without even realizing it, and quickly sees that his heart is capable of love.

As is true with most Molly McAdams books, I found myself crying ALL. THE. TIME. Crying when they were together, crying when they were apart. Crying when they couldn't see that the other was letting them in, slowly but surely, but letting them in.

I am obsessed with Keith. He might be the most precious toddler in the history of life. I love that he sneaks under Deacon's defenses. Deacon firmly believes he hates kids, and Keith gets under all that make makes Deacon love him.

I love that we get to see where Graham's story is going since we won't actually get a book for him. By the end of this book I was happy with Graham and no longer grieving the fact that he wouldn't get his own book.

The bit about Knox and Harlow at the end nearly broke my heart... WHY????

Deacon - we've grown to know him as the man whore of Thatch. Charlie - we've had a love/hate/love relationship with her once we found out what she was up to with Ben. Now it's time to shine some more light onto their lives. Onto their hopes, dreams, fears, truths and souls.

This series has held such a special place in my heart. If I had never read Letting Go (Thatch #1) I would've never been introduced to Molly McAdams. I probably would have, but it would've been a while before I found her. And to this day she's one of my top favorites. So to have this series ending leaves me with a bittersweet feeling.

First off - Deacon Carver is my favorite character from the series. Grey always called him her big Teddy Bear, which left me believing he was a big teddy bear for readers to fall for, even if he wasn't the main guy. And now to have his story in my hands...words cannot describe how much I loved it. And Charlie. She deserves a clean slate. In Thatch #1 we find out that she had harbored feelings for Grey's fiancé who passes...and had his child. Yes we have closure at the end of Letting Go with that story, but there's still always that 'Well Charlie....she loved BEN?! HOW?!' in your mind. Until you read this book. Until you realize that it was more like an infatuation than love, but when you're young they feel the same almost.

I ABSOLUTELY loved this story. In most of McAdams' books we get a sense of the couple that needs to get together has always harbored feelings for one another. With Show Me How there's some feelings but it's not exactly what you think. Deacon isn't quite fond of Charlie because of what she had done to Grey. And this was a nice change of pace. I loved seeing the relationship work towards true love. Yes I'm a firm believer in love at first sight, but I also know that sometimes it takes work. That most of real life isn't going to be all magical and spectacular. And I feel that this book held that true to heart. I could've handled seeing Deacon being upset with Charlie for a little while longer. But honestly the Keith and Deacon scenes steal the show, and once Charlie and Deacon become an item Keith is around Deacon a lot more to make your heart explode.

McAdams' ended this series on such a good note. We got closure. It's always tough saying good bye to a series that you love so much, even more so when a series gets ended in such a way that leaves audiences angry and upset and only wanting more. So when that was not the case here I was pleasantly surprised.

~ 5 Charlie Girl Stars ~

Show Me How was a bittersweet read for me. I was looking forward to reading this book and I was not disappointed at all. I LOVED this book. But it is bittersweet because this is the last book in the Thatch Series and I am sad to see this series end. I loved each and every book in this series. To be honest each book got better then the last. Molly gave us such memorable characters, that I know I will have to revisit these books again in the future.

One thing any fan of Molly’s knows that when you read any of her books, be prepared to have you emotions thrown all over the place. Her books always leave me emotionally exhausted but in the best way. I always tell anyone I recommend her books to, to make sure you have tissues handy. Molly definitely knows how to bring tears to her readers eyes.

Show Me How is the third and final book in Molly’s Thatch Series. Even though each of these books can be read as a standalone…I really wouldn’t recommend it. This is a series I really think should be read in order to fully understand the characters. Because each of the characters in the books play such a main role in the other books of the other couples. These characters are all linked together. I will say I thought Molly did an excellent job filling in all the blanks for any reader who didn’t read the previous books. She makes reading these books as standalones very easy.

Show Me How is a friends-to-enemies-to-lovers story. Charlie and Deacon have known each other since they were kids, but over the course of this series (things you learn in the first book Letting Go) Deacon has come to hate Charlie and isn’t very nice to her. But over the course of this story Deacon learns to open up to Charlie and things turn toward the better for them. I thought Molly told this story in an interesting fashion. I am not going to expand on that, but just know I thought it was perfect!!! I will admit there was a small part around the 40% mark that I wasn’t too happy with, but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of this book.

So I will conclude by say this much…..This is a MUST READ BOOK/SERIES!! I thought the way Molly concluded everyone’s story was perfect!!!

This is the final story in the Thatch series and everyone we have read about so far is in this book, which I loved by the way. This is very much Charlie and Deacon's story. Oh and Keith, he completely stole the show, every time he appeared.

Charlie has just moved back to Thatch with her son Keith. They are currently living with Jagger & Grey, until she can get herself settled and in a position to be able to independently support her son. Everyone is happy to see her back and to welcome her home to Thatch. Except one person, Deacon Carver.

Deacon still harbors a lot of blame and anger towards Charlie after the death of Ben several years
ago. He can't get his head around how others can be so forgiving when he feels like Charlie deserves no forgiveness. The problem is that he doesn't really know the full story so all of his animosity towards Charlie is completely based on assumptions.

Charlie has changed in past few years, apart from the fact that she has grown up for a teenager to a beautiful young woman, she seems to have lost a lot of confidence. She is okay around her family but when she is around others, like Deacon, she closes herself off.

Despite the negative vibe she gets from Deacon, for the most part she is moving forward with her life. She is working, looking for her own apartment and dedicated to being a wonderful mother to her son. By chance one night she finds someone that she can confide in, someone who knows nothing of her past, someone she can freely talk to. This is something that has been missing in her life and she really treasures this new found friendship.

Deacon seems to be slowly moving from being an ass to Charlie to being confused about Charlie. He is beginning to see her differently from the teenager he once knew four years ago. He absolutely loves spending time with Keith and even though he is a proclaimed 'manwhore' who never wants children of his own, he is beginning to change his stance on that. There are some seriously cute moments between Keith and 'Deaton' that completely melted me!

As Deacon & Charlie spend more time together, the more confused they both feel about what seems to be growing between them. If only Deacon could be more like the guys she reads about. As much as she would love to give into her desire towards Deacon, she refuses to do that again until she knows that the man she gives herself to truly loves her.

Can a manwhore really change his ways for the right woman?

I'm so thrilled to get the last book in this series! When I received the book I was like

https://media1.giphy.com/media/r0XKA0...

I decided they my review is going to be a written as I read and have thoughts and reactions throughout.

How did I forget Jagger and Grey had a baby?!?!?!

http://gif.co/uVLK.gif

I'm cherishing the fact that we get to see into the lives of Grey, Jagger, Knox, Harlow, and Graham. Characters we have fallen in love with in Letting Go and To The Stars

I'm feeling like Raven while reading this book. I predicted a few things.

http://gif.co/rd5p.gif

"Where'd you go? I'll come for you." Gah Molly and the lines she writes in every book there is always something she says that I am never the same afterwards.

Deacon frustrates me so much! His mood swings and his back and forth. Men I swear

http://gif.co/u9Wy.gif

Oh Jagger being the protective older brother. I love him so much and I really want him to just punch Deacon.

http://gif.co/qieL.gif

"Irrational, betraying heart"

"Stranger"

"Words"

"Are you gonna go to the grassy place?"

http://gif.co/wCl1.gif

My heart my eyes I can't take this!!!!

Molly curse you

http://gif.co/xYmz.gif

I'm hurting and feeling for Charlie so much. The mental abuse from her mom her whole life and then the things Ben vocalized, leading her on, knowing about Keith. I just want Ben to come back so I can punch him! I feel so much for Charlie all those fears, doubts, and insecurities. Deacon saying things he has always said and her getting so hurt by them. I get that. Getting over any abuse is a daily struggle forever.

Deacon you are so so dumb! You are ripping my heart out!

http://gif.co/roEB.gif

That epilogue...My heart can't take it, it can't take it at all. Molly I love how you ended The Thatch Series but do you have to do such damage on my heart and emotions?

I am going to get my feeling now.

Show Me How I cannot find the words to describe the feels Molly McAdams puts on paper with this book. I felt Charlie's grief in my heart while reading this, felt her joy, love
and affection for her son and family. I felt Deacon fighting feeling anything other then hate when we first see him in this book. It's such a change from the big teddy bear we know him to be from the other 2 books in the Thatch series. You could feel him fighting his feelings through out the book. Keith, Charlie's so, he stole my heart and I wanted to climb in the book and be a super hero with him!!

Molly McAdams makes you feel like you are in Thatch with these characters. In Show me how we get
Charlie and Deacon's story (and Keith's). Charlie is still trying to move past her grief from the death of Ben; her first love. He was engaged to Grey and her brother's best friend. They had 2 nights and that was it before he left hero She's home from college and starting a life for her and Keith.

Deacon is easy g0ing and a big teddy bear to all his friends and family. He is not known to settle down with a girl for more then a night. After it came out about Charlie and Ben, and that it hurt Grey -Deacon's "little sister" he has so much anger towards Charlie. As things are said and Deacon learns the truth; other events and things start to change his feelings. This is a must read!! The story of Charlie and Deacon is a moving one. You will laugh and cry, swoon and feel a few AAAAWWWWW moments through out this book.

This is the last book in the Thatch series and wraps up the series with all the characters. I recommend reading the other 2 books in the series so you can know the other characters.

Where do I even begin? I don't know that my words will do Molly McAdams any justice!!

Molly has a way with tearing you to pieces and then putting you back together word by word. This book was no different than any other. She will have you ugly crying, screaming at her in your head, sighing and swooning within seconds. And she will have you walking away at peace with it all.

I absolutely loved everything about this book from the storyline to the characters created!! You will feel the heartache to your very core. The chemistry is off the charts and will leave butterflies in your stomach and chills down your spine.

I don't want to give anything away with my review, so all I'm going to say is that this is a MUST READ!! You thought you loved Deacon before, that your heart broke for Charlie in the previous book it doesn't even compare.

Even though this is part of a series it can be read as a standalone and is told in the POV of both Deacon and Charlie. You won't just see the words you will feel them!!

Oh and I should mention even though it can be read as a standalone I still highly recommend you read the whole series they kind of all tie together.

Show Me How captured my heart. You think you know Charlie and Deacon from meeting them in Letting Go & To The Stars, but you really don’t. Molly McAdams does not disappoint with this book. My heart was pounding, breathe stolen, and anxiety level spiked at the story of hate, secrets, assumptions and love.

We get to see another side of Deacon in this book. Can this manwhore be reformed? That is one of the parts I loved about this story. I never thought that a line in a book delivered by the four-year-old character could make me cry, I was wrong. The growth of Deacon in just a short time was perfect.

In Letting Go we met Charlie. Her story was introduced to us. But I don’t think as a reader I fully grasped what she went through until Show Me How. My heart broke for her. I truly loved Charlie in this story. I think that my heart grew for her the more her scars were shown. I’m truly happy to have read her story.

Overall, I love this series. Once again, Molly takes you into her world of characters. It’s an intense one, not always happy, but with her words she will break you down and put you back together again.

I had the incredible privilege of getting an ARC of Show Me How by Molly McAdams.

If there's anyone who knows how to write a male character that I'll fall for, it's Molly McAdams.

If there's anyone who can write a young adult girls point of view that can echo my younger self in love, Molly's the gal to do it.

Her books scream of the young lustful angst that many of us can identify with and that is ingrained into our hearts.

Show Me How is no different. Getting to read Charlie and Deacon's story is bittersweet - being at the end of a series that I love. There may be some tears (some sad, some frustrated, some happy) but there's also swooning and heart-melting to be had.

(I realise this doesn't tell you much of the story but I'm scared I'll spoil it for you)

I think Show Me How could be read as a standalone but you're missing out if you don't read the first two books in the Thatch series.

*Disclaimer: I love Molly. A lot.

Molly has done it again with this book.
I have so many thoughts and feelings on this book but I'm terrified of giving away parts. Just read this book!!
You had Jagger and Grey's story which was amazing then comes along Knox and Harlow which was my favorite and now you have Charlie's story which is competing for favorite in my heart.

I don't want to give away too much so I'm just going to leave this here.

"I won't tell you that I'm in love with you, because I'm still not sure that I'll ever know what that word means. But I know that I can't lose you. I know that my life feels wrong if you and your son aren't in it. I know that I wanted to tear my damn heart out watching you walk away from me."

Read this book and watch out for ladybugs :)

I've read every Molly McAdams book & naturally loved them. Normally by the end of the 1st or 2nd chapter I'm hooked!!

This book was different. By the time I was 5 pages in I was hooked!!! Again Molly touched every single emotion I feel like a human can have. Confusion, sadness, lose, happiness, love, excitement, and over all pure joy.

Deacon your bad boy man hoe & Charlie the "shy" girl collide to make this without a doubt my favorite Thatch book in the Series. The heart ache will make you cry, the happiness will make you cry & the pure forgiving love will make you smile ear to ear!!!

Molly did it again!!! Rocked her readers socks!!!

While I love Molly McAdams I felt like I've read this story before. It's the same ole same ole with these books about manwhores. I knew it was going to be like this so I don't know why I read it.

With that being said Molly had a way of drawing you into a book and making you feel right along with the characters. I felt so bad for Charlie. She took a my of crap. I also felt like there were some unanswered questions. I needed to know more.

I felt more of a connection between Stranger and Words than I did with Charlie and Deacon.

I would recommend reading this book if you are a fan of Molly it if your looking for a book that makes you FEEL!!

Can't beleive the Thatch Series is over, Show Me How was the perfect addition to this emotional collection (you will need tissues) the books don't necessarily need to be read in order as all three have different characters but they do make appearances in others. I loved the ending..the whole series was tied up lovely.
