I have to give major props and kudos to Michelle Betham for making me love and hate a book at the same time. Broken isn't a typical novel about vengeance, everything goes side ways.
At the climax peak the storyline shifts, making you wonder what the hell happened. So yeah, this crafty, clever author has spiked my curiosity. I want more.... who am I kidding I need more!

This book had a decent premise but I despised the two main characters. The heroine comes off as a slut and the hero was just gross. I wanted to like it. I love outlaw MC romance. I love it with an unhealthy passion. This one just never clicked for me.
The heroine's family is killed in a biker war a year before the story gets going. They were innocents in the wrong place at the wrong time. Izzi, the heroine, vows revenge against the MC responsible. She just has to figure out which MC it is. Mack, the President of the Soldiers of Darkness MC, sees a beautiful girl in a bar and becomes a smitten kitten. He's drawn to her and her being aloof, almost to the point of being rude. Mack loves his MC and takes the responsibility of their safety seriously. His lust for Izzi is a weakness and therefore dangerous.
I understood Izzi's need for revenge. I even understood her methods to get it. That part I liked. It reminded me of Lili St. Germine's Gypsy Brothers MC series, which I loved. I think what turned me off the most about the book was the opening sex scene. It was almost vomit inducing for me. He fists her. I don't read that shit. Then Izzi's has sex with someone else after becoming Mack's old lady. It's okay though because that's the man that taught her to fuck. What?! What kind of shit is that? No, No, No.

Excellent new series
I am still thinking about all of the twists and turns in this story. Extremely well written, dark gritty emotions and some hot love scenes make this book a 5 star rating for me. I want to see Izzy and Mack get their happy ending, but can definitely appreciate how bumpy the road to that happening will be in upcoming books. I highly recommend this book.

Well, what can I say. I hate Zeb. I don't even think I like Izzi. So weak & stupid. But can't wait for the next book. Hope Mack gets to be happy w/o Izzi. Who would want her now? Michelle always does this to me. Books I love to hate........lol. Can't wait to see what happens next.

O problema é que a autora não decidiu sobre a personalidade dos protagonistas. Se eles são seguros, autoritarios, frios, vulneráveis, etc. Tudo muito confuso. E não se pode acreditar no que eles pensam sobre si, afirmam uma coisa e fazem outra

This book started out promising. The characters seemed strong and the storyline seemed strong, but it went downhill pretty fast. It just didn't make sense- the reasons why everyone was doing what they were doing, the relationships, the interactions, none of it made any sense. I pushed through the book, hoping that at some point there would be a big revelation that would put everything into perspective but there wasn't. The little bit of information given as to why certain things happened also made no sense. It's too bad because it had such a strong start.

It's part 1 of a two part book that you have to read to get the whole story of the love triangle. It's on KU. I'm disappointed that I didn't pay attention to the blurb line where it says "book 2 will be released, etc".. It does have a gripping plot that makes you want to know what's going to happen. Lots and lots of down, dirty sex between the three.

Man...this book started off good. At 50% I was like WTF. I almost threw my Kindle. I don't know but this story had to many twists, so many it got kinda out a hand. Here is the thing....the meat of this story is really good. The saying "less is better" applies here. There was an issue with the single quotes around all of the dialogue. It took almost 50% just to get used to reading it that way.

WTF!?
This book is all over the place! I tried so hard to love this book. It had serious potential but the plot just kept getting more and more warped. It's a mind f$&k for sure but not in a good way. I was left wondering what I'd just read and why I even bothered.

May 14, 2016I don't like the heroine. She pretends that she is strong but really I can already tell she is not. She is going to be easy and annoying. I wish that she would have been genuinely strong and angry. Not just looking for a root from a biker dude... ugh.

I was torn while reading this book. I was intrigued and disturbed but couldn't stop reading. Looking forward to reading Betrayed.
