Dear H.J. Bellus,

I so fucking LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this book!!!! Okay, let me reiterate it once more time. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! That’s right, I LOVED THe BIG O and of course, what woman wouldn’t. (*wink*) Right off the opening pages, I knew I couldn’t put this book down. How could I when you are introduced to Olivia Olander who lives in Ontario, Oregon and who is O-less. Yes, that’s right Olivia is a single 24 year old virgin who never had a boyfriend and oh yeah never had THE BIG O.

#TheBigO1

So as you can imagine Olivia Olander is ready to pop her cherry. She is ready to say goodbye to her pesky virginity and also finally experience that screaming orgasm that every romance novels talks about. As much as Olivia is ready to say adios to her virginity, her best friend urges her to take the first step. Experience an orgasm. Well operation orgasm doesn’t go according to plan when she almost electrocuted herself with Tony the Tiger vibrator in the bathtub while holding her cell phone. But don’t worry Olivia always lands on her feet and doesn’t let this setback hinder her when she meets a hot cop with a big stick, who enjoys how sweet, innocent and quirky Olivia is. And hot cop finds it absolutely charming that she is still a virgin and is not scared at all. And did I mention Officer Oren O’Brien loves giving O’s.

photo 9acf2979af0e4130f044d45d177c7f_zpsuvu0q2kk.gif “Let’s-be-honest, and set the stage of my real life situation. I’m twenty-four, a first grade teacher, have a Yorkie named Pedro, a goldfish named Fish, have never had sex, or a serious boyfriend, and I’m the town lesbian who pukes when she sees a pussy. Nothing really to be jealous of at all. ”

#TheBigO

Oren and Olivia are hands down one of my favorite couples. Seriously, these two were fucking fantastic. It is never a dull moment with these two. And when you add in Olivia’s nip slip, her adventures with watching porn, and of course nothing says LOVE when your boyfriend thinks your fart is adorable. These are a few lovable and embarrassing moments that makes The Big O a riot of fun and entertaining. And to top it off, H.J. Bellus delivers a love story that will make your hearts melt and swoon.

photo 9acf2979af0e4130f044d45d177c7f_zpsuvu0q2kk.gif “I’m not covered in pasta, sauce, and/ or (in my damn case) humiliation… rather bathed in Oren O’Brien, who seems desperately and hopelessly in love with my awkward Asian, Yorkie-loving, and extremely cursed ass. ”

What else can I say but I LOVE this book HARD. It was refreshing, fun, sexy, humorous, entertaining, and outrageously lovable. And of course, you gotta LOVE Olivia Olander from Ontario, Oregon who finally got to experience THE BIG O!!!!! Can we get a HALLELUJAH!!!!

#TheBigO2.5

photo 9acf2979af0e4130f044d45d177c7f_zpsuvu0q2kk.gif “I openly call Oren boyfriend. It’s like I leaped out of the closet. I’m not ashamed or insecure of who I am anymore. Oren’s brought out the inner girl in me. We are three weeks into the best summer ever.”

#TheBigO2

So if you are looking for a lighthearted romantic comedy that weaves layers of charm, family, friendship, a horny Yorkie, Mr. Lady Boner cop, and a 24 year old virgin who finally gets The BIG O then I highly recommend you to read this book. All there is left to say, thank you HJ Bellus for another amazing story that is filled with toe-curling kisses, tender moments, and of course that infamous letter O.

Love,
M (fan of The Big O) xo

Entretenida de una manera ridícula.
Al principio la lectura no me gustó, porque la personalidad de la chica era en contraste a su profesión; luego mejoró un tanto la trama pero decayó al final.

The Big O

Book Description

The ocean...October, outdoors, orange... All O's that sneaky damn letter.

I need the O. Crave the O, even dream about the bastard.

My name is Olivia and this is my virgin diary. Yep, at the ripe age of 24 I'm single and O-less. And to top it all off, with a shiny cherry, I'm a first grade teacher.

Not much hope meeting Prince Charming in my workplace.

I live with my hyper Yorkie and wild imagination. And I despise the letter O.

Follow Olivia Olander in her wild and hysterical journey as she hunts down the elusive O.

She may hate the obscure O now, but Officer Oren O'Brien hasn't lit up her world.

Will Olivia ever learn to love the O or be cursed with its lingering presence the rest of her life?

Olivia is all fairytales and Prince Charming, desperately hoping for her one true love to find her and whisk her away to enjoy her first Big O but when it comes to Olivia, life just isn't kind to her.

Oren wants to escape his life in California from his over-bearing parents who want a perfect life and a perfect wife of their choice for him. When Oren finally decided enough was enough he packed up and moved to Ontario.

When career day ends with Olivia and Oren meeting for the first time sparks fly and Olivia's dreams for the perfect first O seen a lot closer but things don't always go as planned, what will happen when Oren's life catches up with him and Olivia finds him in a position that breaks her heart? Will the happiness al be over or will they be able to fix the damage?

This is story about true love, about two hearts finally finding each other, about a woman over coming her insecurities when the man she falls for shows just how much she means to him and of course about Olivia Olander from Ontario, Oregon finally got to Experience her BIG O.

This is my first book by H.J. Bellus and oh my gosh I absolutely LOVED IT. Olivia and Oren's love story was beautiful and it was a pleasure reading their love story and the sex, the extremely HOT SEX. Olivia's banter with her best friend Scout was just down right hilarious, those two together were some of the best times in this story.

Definitely pick up this book and give it a read, you'll enjoy it.

3.5 BIG O STARS!

Not gonna lie, I'm quite struggling to finish this. The Big O didn't really appeal to me. But I need some funny read about a desperate virgin girl. LOL! Yeah, Olivia is very desperate to let go her V-card. BUT she wanna do it with someone special ;)
Dear Diary,
Do you find it funny that my name is Olivia Olander and I live in Ontario, Oregon and teach school in room one and have never had an O?
Love, O

Yup! Her name is Olivia or what's her friend called O. She has quite a dirty mouth. Not dirty like sexy kinda but really like to swear. She has dirty minds too when it's involve with HOT dreamy guy. Yeah, seems kinda of my girl. I like her free mind and shameless. Even sometimes she can be naive. Olivia really believe in happily ever after and ride into the sunset. But after countless blind date, she finally give up to search her perfect guy.
“There’s times when you come across a person who fits the description perfectly and you have the worst time shaking it until you finally give in."

Enter Oren O'Brien, a new police who recently moved in town. He's became a 'guest' in the school where Olivia work. They have funny chemistry from very first time. Oren is oh-so-perfect kinda good guy. From helping her to asking her to date. He's quite persistent and I liked it ;)
“Why do you hate the letter O?” He raises an eyebrow in my direction.
“Really Officer Oren O’Brien? I’m Olivia Olander who lives in Ontario, Oregon and who is O-less.”

Olivia and Oren are very easily likable. Olivia's awkwardness and Oren's sexy attitude. What's not to love? Their chemistry is building up nice and slow. Their relationship is quite real with a lot of progress. They're already set eyes on each other for the first time. BUT like every relationship, they need to face bumpy road ahead. Poor Oren has baggage on his own but he's man enough to deal with it. Good job, sexy cop!

This didn't work is Olivia's friend, Scout. She's kinda annoyed me. She has very foul mouth. I hardly like her. Well, I don't mind sarcasm when in the right moment. Not every time. Before meet Oren, Olivia's life kinda bored me. But... Hey, it's the real life, right? Overall, The Big O is an easy and enjoyable read. Very entertaining.

This is exactly what I needed right now! The Big O is such a perfect dose of humor and romance and sexiness all rolled up into one. I couldn't tell you how much I laughed my butt off while reading this entire book. It's so light, yet still packed with a sweet love story we all crave for. Yet again, HJ Bellus astounds me with her ability to stretch and switch up from one genre of romance to another. I guess I wasn't expecting how hilarious and fun this book was and it made the ride all the more fun and thrilling. You wouldn't be able to stop reading.

“My damn name is Olivia Olander and I live in Ontario, Oregon and teach at Oregon Trail in room one...”

Olivia Olander is a sexy, gorgeous first-grade teacher who's awkward as hell and a walking train wreck waiting to happen. She's almost lost all hope since at her ripe age, her V card is still very much untouched and intact. Her life was boring (except for her cursed moments) until a certain hot cop, by the name of Officer Oren O'Brien, saunters into her classroom for career week. All of a sudden, Olivia comes alive with love and lust and a new hope of finally chasing down her Big O.

Let me tell you, Olivia's awkwardness and quirkiness were certainly enough to crack you up. The funniest, most unexpected and most ridiculous things just happen to her. It's like she's the queen of bad luck. Well, that was in the beginning. But then add on Scout, her best friend, who doesn't have a filter and doesn't give a crap what comes out of her mouth? You'd bust your lid off and good luck if you don't end up farting out all the gas you take in from cackling and snorting like a crazy person. And then there's Officer Ladyboner (and Tony the Tiger). Gosh, I think even I swooned and drooled for the man. Seriously, he always handled Olivia like a man on a mission and all that was just hot as hell. Don't even get me started with how sweet and thoughtful and a huge gentleman Mr. Hot Pants is. Because in all seriousness, what the hell more can you ask for? Olivia even made me want to lick his deep V-line more times than I can count. Le sigh.

If you need a quick, really quirky read to light up your day—I highly recommend that you read The Big O and just be ready to laugh and giggle and snort your way through it.

One of THE funniest books I've read from HJ Bellus!! "Oooo". M.G. this was so original and fun to read. I couldn't put it down and I NEED more!! Hoping book 2 is out soon. I laughed and laughed and cried, then laughed. One of my favorite lines from this book is: "Oscar (the main character's dad's psycho dog) bares his teeth to me and I swear they're stained a light pink. That bastard's growling at me. He senses evil, Dad chimes. Old man has jokes. Go get your beer and let's eat dinner." This book is one of those books that you'll never grow tired of reading over and over...

The beginning of this was great. A first grade elementary school teacher who meets a really really hot cop and she wants to have smexual relations with him 🤷 okay, okur! I'm downward doggin with that!!!

Then.......bleh. It got so boring. There were some funny parts like her farting really loud (and multiple times) when her dad and Oren the H walk in and they laugh together at her.....😬 hmm. She clenches her butt hole a lot for various situations...... And oren? He's as bland as a bowl of corn flakes. No milk. No sugar. Just......cornflakes. He has zero personality but that's made up by his hot cop looks. Oy vey.

Ok.......then, they're just kissing here and there til about 58% ish into the book 🙄🙄🙄😬 I'm like......girl he's that hawt and youre creaming your panties over him but you haven't done the deed yet? Damn! Jump on him! He's ready to go!

She damages her phone multiple times and then she walks in on ow in the guys house. Kinda like another book I read. She leaves her house and gets hit by another car. her dad tells her that ut was an ex who was osycho and he didnt love her but his rich parents wanted him to be with her. She listens to him but Then she waits three effing months to contact him again!!!!! Jaysus. DAFUQ.

The kids in the book were cute.....but we didn't even get a epilogue with him with their own kids! and she's A teacher!!! 😭😭 you would think thats something to put in there.....sigh.

Have a headache or a tough day? This book is the perfect pick me up! How do I know you ask? Before I started this read I was sporting a headache from a rough day and a few pages into the book I was already laughing my a$$ off! The things said and done will have your jaw dropping thinking WTF?!? but in a good way of course with some added comedic shock value.

The letter "O" has a deeper meaning behind the title. Thanks to Olivia Olander's story it plays a huge role in the story that was freaking genius! The read will have you hoping that love can exists but time can be a B!&C# waiting for the important and life changing events to happen.

Ovaries down. Ovaries down. The man is tall, dark, with chiseled features, and fucking panty-melting dimples dancing around his smile.

Cue in the sexy cop, Oren O'Brien! Yup you read it right another "O" comes into the mix. He comes as a surprise and you cannot help by fall head over heels for him. Oh my! Oh man! Oh my ovaries! *SWOON* <3

H.J. Bellus always seizes to amaze me when it comes to writing stories entailing the "hopeless romantic." She took a different approach when it comes to finding love it and it was one that anyone will enjoy! ~Cristina, ★★★★✩ 4.5 stars

Another hit but a somewhat different genre from the amazing H. J. Bellus.

This book is HILAIRIOUS. Like roll on the floor, cringe, I want my childhood back kinda book.

Olivia Olander. I love you. I want to be you. I want your life your ability to just let "farts" happen kinda life. You my dear are my hero!

I read this book on a dismal Monday morning in NYC n to say I went to work with a pep in my step is not too far from the truth.

Officer Oren O'Brien. Well, hello. I want to be a teacher. Like seriously ladies, what kid doesn't want to go visit the local precinct?

This is a story of tremendous laughs and OMGs. One of the funniest, truest, & heartwarming novels I've ever read. And Scout...I need her as my bff. Like now.

Favorite Quotes:

“Dad even eventually got comfortable with buying feminine products and used auto parts to give me the birds and the bees talk… I cringed and I do believe my ovaries even sent Hail Marys to Jesus that day in the shop.”

“You keep moaning like your belly hurts, Ms. Olander like there’s a bad poop built up in you.”

“‘Headlights, Miss Olander.’ I pry my gaze away from the sexiest ass on the planet to see Kane with both his pointer fingers sprung out from his chest and his little eyebrows waggling at high speed.”

“I think I fell harder for you when I found out you fart louder than me.”

“Forgiveness is a funny creature. It takes courage to even step in the direction of it and even more strength to walk the path.”

My Review:

The book was off the charts delightful and naughty fun - and just so happens to be my favorite type of book to read. Minimal angst, lovable characters, highly amusing and clever humor, witty banter, a sweet love story, and lots of delicious steam. Nirvana! I barked, snorted, and laughed aloud so hard I had to stop reading to wipe my eyes. Olivia is a hot mess of awkward, nerdy, twenty-something virgin and first-grade teacher who is, of course, most proud of her uncannily observant and naughty students. I thought I might need CPR while reading Chapter 12 when the main character was caught unawares during an embarrassing bout of flatulence in which her new crush witnessed her “ripping a world record fart.” The characters were endearing, smart, hilarious, and good to and for each other. I adored Olivia and Owen as a couple and their sweet and sexy blossoming romance made my heart sing. Ms. Bellus’s writing was crisp, observant, irreverent, insightful, and highly enjoyable. This was my virgin voyage with this author and I have but one word for her – more! I will be fangirling her hard.

5 O Star’s

Audio Book – Olivia Olander is one heck of a funny, sweet girl. But she is so much more than that when her and Scout her bestie get together they are hilarious. I was laughing or snorting through this book. What a great up lifting book to listen to.

You got to feel for the girl. She hate the letter O and she can’t find her O. But in a roundabout way she does. Growing up with her dad to guild her after her mother’s passing girly things were not his forte to say the least.

“I love you dad even if I inherited all your awkward genes.” -Olivia

When she meets good looking cop man Oren O'Brien its funny and sweet.
He brings out her inner scaredy-cat who is afraid to feel and she bring him out of his self-imposed shell.

“Close your eyes and jump with me.” – Oren

“I have to fix myself before I can move on.” - Olivia

I loved the dynamic. This book is funny and witty. Over all great read once I will read again just for the light heartedness of it all.

Things I will not soon forget, Cherry Pie, Elbows, Bears, Cops, and Handcuffs.

Hilarious, naughty FUN!

A superfun treat from H.J. Bellus. This sexy story of "firsts" had me giggling, cringing, and swooning with delight.

Olivia is a loveable hero looking for her first Big O, and "Hot Cop" Oren is the perfect Officer to help her Obtain that Objective!!! (See what I did there?)

The great supporting cast adds more layers of humor and warmth. You'll laugh, swoon, cry (just a little!), and fall in LOVE with this one.

*Fans of Tara Sivec's Chocolate Lovers or Mimi Strong's Peaches Monroe will really like this one!

A five-star must-read!

DNF @ 20%.

I hate not finishing books. I'm a fight to the end kind of booklover, so it hurts that I couldn't finish this one. I don't know if I'm in a sour mood because I'm still emotionally traumatized from November 9 and A Thousand Boy Kisses, but this one just didn't work for me. Coming off of so many dark and emotional reads, I was hoping The Big O would give me just what I needed...a big laugh. But it didn't. I do think others will find this enjoyable, especially if you're into RomCom and need something light and fun.

Urgh, I got to 50% and couldn't read any further. The side-kick, Scout was a major pain in my butt. Also, who swears that much in an elementary school where little ears can hear? The heroine's "awkwardness" felt too forced.

The plot was interesting, too bad the characters were pathetic and unlikable.

Wow, HJ Bellus hit the mark with this one. I laughed out loud through most of Olivia's story and I must say, The Big O is now one of my favorite RomCom books.

Olivia is special, in her own way and she sure knows how to live life to the fullest...minus one VERY important thing. Oren is simply amazing in every sense of the word. He's a hot cop, sweet, snarky and did I mention HOT!!! Can he be my prince charming?!?! #NEWBBF

I love the chemistry of our dynamic duo, the banter between all the characters and the love/hate relationship between Olivia and her BFF, Scout. BUT I'm not going to lie, there was a point I wanted to toss my eReader and scream...just saying :)

This is a must read and a series I can't wait to continue...way to go HJ!!!

Fluffy romance with enough substance to keep you interested and literally LOL-ing. My first by the author, but surely not the last. It also doesn't hurt that the protagonist is super relatable in many aspects - the author does not hold back the real life in this fictional (how fictitious is it really?) story.

Such a stupid book. I was expecting something different, like the struggles of being a virgin at 24 and only at the middle of the book to be introduced to the guy.
It was sappy instalove with sex scenes
I wouldn't lie, I found it funny sometimes but I thought most of the book was pointless

I had read this book before, and I enjoyed it, however to be honest, even though it was funny, I did find it a little slow sometimes. Olivia was OCD, and she was also a little immature sometimes, but sometimes in life you have to be, I did enjoy her relationship with Oren, however after that misunderstanding took place, she was a little unreasonable. Now don't get me wrong, I do not condone lies, and he should have been upfront with her regarding his family and all his problems with them, but it would not have gotten to the point it did, had he been upfront. I am glad they got it resolved.

Listened on audiobook.

This is one of the funniest books that I have ever read. Hands down. However, towards the end Olivia started to bug me somewhat hence the 4 stars. I don’t want to give spoilers so you’re just going to have to read. It is well worth it.

More like 2.75 almost 3, cause I liked Scout and Olivia´s interactions, even though their personalities and language was way too crude for two teachers.
Way too perfect male counterpart. Got boring after a while. Too late in the story "twist".

*Kind of spoiler* I hate when a woman has the most amazing O the first time they have sex in a book, just like that, magically, without help from anything but the guy´s out-of-this-world dick. Come on... *rolls eyes* That must happen to 000.1% of women out there. Right? *End of spoilers*

Nevertheless, it did entertain me. I might read Scout´s book.

I freaking loved this book; it was outrageously hilarious! While growing up, there’s so much exposure and built up about how special it should be to lose your virginity. For others it’s just wham bam, thank you, ma’am, I’m done. If you enjoy comedy, romance, between a quirky virgin and a hot sweet police officer, I suggest you hop on The Big O train. Get ready to have your bed rattled and your lady bits soaked –winks-.

Olivia made me giggle like a dork to no end because she’s naïve in her own way. Since her sinkhole have never been fluffed and tickled with a real hard and huge twinkie, she comes off as a young adult who’s begging for experience in the O department. Oren just made me blush like a teenager all over again. He packed up his things and left his old town and wanted a fresh start, away from the family drama.

And as for Olivia’s best friend Scout, she had me falling off my seat with her sarcastic self. She’s loud and crazy, but will do anything for her friend. Which I can’t wait to get to know on the second book.

I highly recommend THE BIG O to all the readers who is in desperate need of experiencing their cherries popped. Wink*

4 big O stars!

Quick! Quit what you're doing right now and read The Big O by H.J Bellus
This book is a little bit of awesome, I mean look at how cute the cover is!!!

I loved the story of awkward 1st grade teacher Olivia Olander who lives in Ontario Oregon, Who also just happens to have never had the big O. Yep, that's right. At the age of 24, Olivia finds herself single with no future prospects of losing her V card after a string of bad blind dates. That is until she meets the hunky officer Oren O'Brien.

“Miss Olander why are you talking to yourself?”I turn to see Janis staring at me like I’ve lost my marbles.“It’s what you do when you get older,” I respond.

“Do I have to ride in the back seat or get cuffed?”“Do you want to be cuffed?” He raises an eyebrow at me and I feel the alfredo sauce heat up on my skin.

I LOVED this book. It's characters were fantastic. I loved them all, between Olivia's crazy antics, her best friend Scout's crude jokes and her student Kane's quips I was laughing so hard like a loon. Oh, and lets not forget how swoon worthy Oren was.

This book was everything! A charming short and sweet romance that'll leave you with a silly grin on your face long after you've put it down. Would've given it 5 stars if not for the OTT drama towards the end which was completely unnecessary for a light hearted read as this one, which in turn made the ending feel rushed but overall I enjoyed it and will reread it in future because it's that awesome.

OMG! This book was Off the charts! Omazaballs! O,O,O,O,Orgasmic! Owesome! Original! Obscenely funny! Obsessive! You get my drift...

The Big O had me in fits of hysterical laughter to the point of crying, had me feeling all of what Olivia was going through and don't let me forget about Mr Lady Boner Oren....hmmmm O so dreamy! All of the characters in this book were off the hook, and I enjoyed all of them and their quirks.

Such an amazing book that once I started I couldn't put it down until it was finished. It was definite worth the book hangover I got from staying up so late. It was sad that it had to end however I was thrilled that we will get to read the next book "

Five stars doesn't seems enough for this Rom-com.   I don't know how Heidi thinks up half of her stories and characters but I love them all.  Whatever style she writes she seems to nail it on the head!

The Big O is a fun romantic comedy. HJ Bellus made all the stop to make this such a funny romance. Olivia a 24 yr old virgin have been looking for a way to get rid of her virginity. With the help of her best friend a few blind dates, operation get-rid-of-virgnity always ended up a bust. Until Olivia meets up with hot copy Officer Oren. He was new in town and is way interested with Olivia and her innocence. In fact Olivia’s innocence just turned him on more. This is a must read for all romantic comedy lovers. Olivia’s adventure to finding her screaming Organish is a real fun ride. It’s full of laughs and crazy moments and will definitely will have anyone laughing.
