My life comes down to this. Two faces. One choice.

Salem is my twin sister. She loved me. She protected me. She forgave me, even after I failed her. I just got her back after searching for three long, lonely years.

Then there’s Clay. Sweet yet intense and nursing a dark past of his own, he’s all the redemption I don’t deserve. He wants to open me up and know the insides of my soul. I want to let him, but I’m scared he’ll run from what he finds.

But I can’t have them both.

My name is Aria. I'm 18. And today, I must choose. One of the two people I love has to die.

Hanna is the bestselling author of the Bound romantic suspense series and the Dark Angel fantasy series. Although she writes in more than one genre she can’t write a book without weaving together a complicated plot and filling it with twists. She writes what she believes: good people can do bad things, ordinary people can do great things, and choose love above everything.

If not writing, she can be found wandering a dusty market in Marrakesh or trekking a mountain in Peru, often using her travels as settings in her novels.

Title: Paper Dolls
Author: Hanna Peach

Wow! No words. Raw, emotional, clever and a real mindf**k!!!!!
I have never read such a book before. The twists and turns messed with my head and I have to proudly declare that this is one of my favorite reads of the year so far. Amazing writing and great suspense. You never know what happens and just when you think you have it figured out, another plot twist turns your world upside down.
So, Aria has spend three years looking for her twin sister, Salem. The trail leads her to Mirage Falls. There, she will try to locate her missing sister with no success. That is when she meets Clay. Clay is a handsome and very patient man who slowly manages to throw down Aria's walls and enter her heart. She is hesitant with him but slowly, he becomes her anchor.
As her heart opens up to Clay, Salem enters her life out of nowhere and with no explanation. Aria will come to realize that soon she will have to choose between the love of her life, who is hiding secrets of his own, and her twin sister.

Salem was Aria's anchor. Salem sacrificed a lot for Aria and I love how the author used that to manipulate the relationship between the two sisters.

It'll always be you and me.
We'll protect each other.

The book is a thin balance between illusion and reality. You never know what is true and what is not. The writing is excellent and I loved very minute of this book.
Beware that there are themes of abuse and rape in this.
If you want something different that will tug at your heart strings, then this is for you! Do not miss this unique book.

Another fabulous novel from author Hanna Peach. Paper Dolls is an amazing new adult suspense with a whole lot of twists and turns that are hard to see coming. Aria is on the hunt for her sister, Salem, who she hasn't seen in three years. They share a haunting past that we only get bits and pieces of throughout the book. It is a dark, gut wrenching tale of sexual violence. Peach has woven this story so many different ways that you will be on the edge of your seat wondering what actually happened in the past, who are these beautiful sisters and will Salem and Aria reconnect after the heartache. I don't want to give away anything but the author writes quite a shocker of an ending, keeping me wanting more from this series already.

I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars for a well-written, steady paced, psychological suspense novel that will leave you really thinking about life and what people have been through and the strength it takes to overcome it.

Well, then! A complete and total mindf*k!! The beginning of the book was a little disorientating but once I got past the first few chapters, I was rewarded with a very clever and twisty romantic suspense story. Very memorable characters and an interesting storyline. Not at all what I expected.

The book begins right in the middle of a very tense scene which I had to go back and re-read after finishing this book. At first I was very disoriented by the story and could not figure out where the author was going or what these characters were going to do. I was completely and totally taken aback by the direction this story took and raced though this book in one sitting!

This is one of those books that should be read without knowing too much about the plot. I did not know anything about this author or the story before reading and I was pleasantly surprised. PAPER DOLLS is suspenseful, thrilling, very surprising and has a very enthralling storyline. Kudos to Hanna Peach for creating an unforgettable cast of characters and bringing very important topics to light and treating the subject matter with great sensitivity and understanding.

Hanna Peach is an author to watch and I look forward to reading more books from this talented writer!

Paper Dolls isn't the usual kind of love stories. It is the kind that'll make you fall in love at first and stay at peace for a while and then completely shatter everything you knew.
It starts with a prologue that will leave you so confused and yet draw you closer. If it wasn't for college classes, I would've finished this book in one sitting.

If you have read Girl Wife Prisoner, you'd know that you are dealing with a very talented woman. Hanna doesn't write stories that I would classify as "normal" but rather "unbelievably amazing".
Paper Dolls is the story of Aria, who's looking for her twin sister Salem. A small piece of paper led her to Mirage Falls, where she meets delectable, swoon-worthy hot as hell Clay. Each one of them has dark secrets that they try to keep them hidden. When those secrets were revealed, ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE.

Happiness can't shape you, only the things that leave scars do.

I can't tell you anything more without spoiling it for you and I hope with everything that I am, that you'll give this book a chance. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Definitely a young adult read,

Good but some grammatical/editing errors. 75% of this edition was Paper Dolls the remainder was excerpts for other books.

Clay and Aria both overcoming obstacles to be together. There are some tough and difficult topics covered. Well done though.

MY RATING
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I've not read ANYTHING by this author before, so am keen to start this tonight, LOVE coming across new authors

PAPER DOLLS: The opening Prologue will have you sitting on the edge of your seat with the thought of WTF did I just read, because holy mother of all crappers it is a whooper of a Proloque, eighteen year Aria is given a choice between two of the people she cares about most in the world, whose life she ends, like a game of roulette who deserves to live more, who will she choose, who does she love more than the other..And then she chooses.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic Choose me, Save me, Love me.

My life came down to two people
Two faces
Two pairs of hands that have pushed aside tears
Two pairs of arms that have protected me
held me despite the darkness
Despite the pain that threatened to pull me under
And now these two people,
The two people I loved the most,
were tearing me apart.

Then it jumps back to 4 WEEKS EARLIER which will slowly lead us to that Prologue

Aria is developing strong feelings for the new man in her life Clay whilst still searching for her twin sister who disappeared 3 years ago, all she had to go on was a piece of paper her sister left behind Mirage Falls, Mirage Falls, Mirage falls, from town to town, thinking she saw glimpses of her, a sister who it seemed didn't want to be found, until out of the blue with no explanations Salem makes a reappearance back in her life..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic “I had my sister back, after three years of being apart. And I had Clay, the most wonderful man in the world.
Everything was just perfect.”

Clay, sweet yet intense and nursing a dark past of his own, he’s all the redemption I don’t deserve.

I enjoyed reading about this blossoming romance between Clay and Aria but she'd take a few steps forward in their relationship and you could see him taking a few steps back, white lies, evasiveness, questions would be left unanswered or dodged.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic Life starts in the deep end, Aria. Jump in.

Salem is my twin sister. She loved me. She protected me. She forgave me, even after I failed her. I just got her back after searching for three long, lonely years.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic Sometimes we need to crumble to nothing before we can rebuild ourselves into someone better.

Hmmmm what to say about Salem I found her very manipulative, also evasive when it came to what she'd been doing for the past three years, where she's been, how she'd survived, but this only added to all the intrigue of the story.

MY THOUGHTS
All throughout this had me guessing and wondering what the story plot was, the suspense was killing me, twists and turns that gave me whiplash, the anticipation to uncover the truth, then it all became clear and your left sitting there with a jaw just about touching the ground..

Aria has been searching for her twin sister, Salem, for years. She’s always just out of reach, leaving clues to where she’s been or is going but appearing and disappearing like mist. Her latest clue has led Aria to Mirage Falls where Aria has achingly given up hope. She has a job, an apartment, and best of all Clay. Clay seems to know everything about her and knows just what to say and do, but just as things start to become comfortable Aria sees Salem outside the window of her job. Nobody else saw her but she knows that face, that hair, the clothes…Salem was there. Then the knock on her door comes and she knows she eventually has to make the choice – her twin sister back again, or the boyfriend who has been by her side during her absence?

This is a very difficult book to review. It is intentionally vague on so many details as you read through it because the main character just doesn’t know, or doesn’t remember, so much of what is going on. She can’t let you in on what she doesn’t know! Clay and Salem are both trying to keep her from the information, too, so they are both just as vague on the details. It makes for a very mysterious story and frankly I am shocked I didn’t catch on faster. I usually catch on to this kind of twist (ahh, don’t want to give it away!) long before the big reveal, but this time I just couldn’t play catch-up. I had multiple theories going on at once but none of them involved what Hanna actually wrote. Once I got to it I actually banged my head on my phone as I said “I should have SEEN that!” because I was caught so off guard (apologies to the cats I startled at that point).

This is a very talk and relationship centered plot, so there isn’t much in the way of grand environmental descriptions. Aria is mostly in her apartment, at work, or in the car. You get a vague sense of what these places look like mostly through how she feels about them. There are a few side characters (Clay’s psychiatrist Dr. Bing, Clay’s mom, Aria’s friend Flick) but the plot overwhelmingly revolves around Aria, Salem, and Clay as a sort of love triangle. Aria and Clay are in love while Aria and Salem have a deeply intense twin bond, and Salem passionately hates Clay. While the information each character gives to move the plot along may be vague they are each unique characters, different and wholly their own selves.

This is a unique book as it is a romance and suspense that takes a look at relationships formed around mental illnesses. This is something I don’t see a lot of in books – I see this play out more often on movies, usually for the shock value of showing the extremes of mental illness. It was a pleasant surprise to read it in Paper Dolls and see how these young adults took to handling the intensifying situation.

I thought I had it all figured out.
I didn't.
But I was close.

This book is one that kept my mind thinking from beginning to end. Even though I figured out the major twist fairly early, it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the story.

At the center of the story is Aria, who is the sole POV. At her side are two people vying for her attention - Salem, her twin sister, and Clay, her boyfriend. I had a feeling early on, with some of her inner monologue that something wasn't quite right with her. However, the biggest clues in the story are provided by the other two characters.

I never cared for Salem. She's self-centered, argumentative, guarded, jealous and overall negative. Although Aria was glad to have her sister back in her life, I felt like Salem was poison. Every scene with her seemed to end up with a fight or Aria second guessing herself. I had my suspicions about Salem and why she came back to Aria, but I'll keep those thought to myself. All I'll say is there are plenty of clues there.

As for Clay, I didn't know what to think of him. Even without Salem's opinions, I knew he had his own secrets. Where those secrets to protect Aria or harm her, I hadn't figured out. I wanted to believe he was good for Aria, but Salem kept providing doubt that made me fully commit to liking him. Plus, there were glimpses of his less than perfect persona when he mistaken Aria for Salem. Given what I now know, some of that doesn't make sense, but I'll give it a pass since I can't explain it without giving a spoiler.

This was the first book from the author that I've read. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and how it was laid out, so I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

Hanna Peach is a master at writing romantic suspense, and she does not disappoint with Paper Dolls. This story had me hooked from the very beginning, was beautifully written, and had twists and turns that kept me guessing. I love stories that are unpredictable, and with this book, I truly had no idea what was coming. When the story begins, Aria is looking for Salem, her twin sister who she has not seen in three years. The circumstances surrounding her absence are unclear, and it is not until Salem comes back into Aria's life that the pieces start coming together. What follows is an incredibly suspenseful and completely captivating story that had me gripping the edges of my Kindle as I read.

The dynamic between Aria and Salem is a precarious one, and it is unknown as to why that is at the start of the story. In addition to Aria trying to navigate her relationship with Salem, she is developing strong feelings for Clay, the strong, sweet, and incredibly sexy guy who she had been building a friendship with for several weeks. Ah, Clay. He was so sweet, and so devoted to Aria. He sought to bring her out of her shell and away from the shadow of her sister. I loved the interactions between him and Aria, which intensified as the story went on, and their chemistry was as strong as their connection was. While the two of them continued to become close, it was clear to Aria that he was keeping things from her. The depth of his care and need for her wasn't really explained until the end of the story, and that is when all the pieces started to fully come together.

What I love most about this author's novels is that the plots are so unique, and this one was no exception. The writing in this story is so incredibly vivid, capturing both the feelings of the characters and their surroundings with clear precision. The descriptive scenes were just as engaging to read as the dialogue, which speaks to the authors fantastic writing ability. And that ending. WOW. The way everything came to a conclusion was completely amazing. This author is a brilliant storyteller. It is hard to write a review without giving too much of the storyline away. As an avid reader I can generally see where stories are going, but in this case I can honestly say that I could not predict what would happen and how it would all end. My mind was completely blown. Well-written, steamy, suspenseful and completely enthralling, Hanna Peach delivered a truly mind-bending story that should not be missed.

This story epitomizes the deepest, strongest and truest meaning of love. Unconditional love. But it was also a mind f*ck of note. Peach brilliantly weaves a twisted web that left me breathless and in awe.

The opening scene gave me goosebumps and certainly piqued my interest. The rest of the story flowed right off the pages, keeping me in suspense every step of the way.

Aria and Clay’s relationship was a beautiful thing to watch as it developed and grew, even with the dark secrets haunting them. There was something very real about these two – their love wasn’t over-exaggerated as in most romance novels; it felt seamless, almost easy. That’s not to say there was no drama. Salem aside, there was some doubt, white lies, and even the fact that for whatever reason Clay kept taking a step back just as things started to heat up. All of this only made them more relatable. It also fueled the intrigue as Peach gave tiny tidbits of information, making me question everything I thought I already knew.

As for Salem, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of her. My heart broken a million times over for the devastating events of her past, but she seemed very hard—coming back into Aria’s life, demanding so much. She certainly knew how to tug on her sister’s heart-strings, and to play on her guilt.
I don’t want to go into too much detail in fear of giving away too much, but all I can say is that I NEVER saw the final moments between Aria, Clay and Salem coming. I was sucker-punched with the truth. When I read, my author brain tends to seek out every possible plot twist, and I really thought I knew what was going on, and what had gone down to lead up to the opening scene, but honestly, I was completely blindsided. It was fantastic!

Peach has come to be one of my favorite authors. This book is a little different from her other work, but it still holds all the passion that she pours into each and every word written. It is dark, raw and emotional. But, it is also fun, with a bit of sarcastic humor, romance, and filled with hope. With characters that will burrow right into your heart, it will turn you inside out while at the same time making your heart soar.

A stellar read, this is one book that will stay with me for a long time.

Holy Crow!!! What in the heck is going to happen?! Now I need to know how someone goes from trying to choose between her sister and her lover, to turning the gin on herself! Choose...

This book reaches out and grabs you from the get-go. It is not often that I am surprised by the direction that a book takes, but Paper Dolls definitely threw me for a loop. I loved it! Once I got started I couldn't have put it down if there was a five-alarm fire. The characters are so well developed, and the story is so engrossing that you feel like you are in Mirage Falls with Aria, Salem and Clay. I fell in love right along side Aria, suspected Salem when she acted strangely, and worried for Clay with his mercurial behavior. As the story unfolds you hurt for a young girl being abused, you're grateful to a sister willing to do whatever it takes to protect her other half. You also see the love and devotion from a man willing to do anything to be with the woman he loves. There is nothing about this book that turned out the way I expected... It was better! You'll feel everything with Aria. There simply aren't enough words to express it. If ever there has been a story to grab you and hold on tight it's Paper Dolls. When you decide to start this book, be prepared... There is a good chance that you won't want to move until you get to the end. I recommend this book, and any of Hannah's other works. Paper Dolls is unique, enthralling, and beautiful as well as passionate and heartbreaking at times. I love that the book keeps you guessing, even at the end. Absolute MUST READ. 100% recommended.

I have read many of Hanna Peach's books, including but definitely not limited to the Bound Series, and Girl, Wife, Prisoner. Her writing style is unique, and detailed. She is an amazing author with a passion that shows through every word on the page. Characters take on a life in the vibrant setting Hannah creates, and their emotions fill you as you read. This book in particular starts out like a tidal wave and hits you like a super tsunami. It's amazing on every facet.

Thank you Hanna for the ARC, and the opportunity to experience this wonderful work.

OMG.... Just, OH MY GOD!! Oh Wow! I’m not sure how I’m supposed to do this without giving away spoilers but THAT was a surprising and fabulous read. I’m not going to discuss ANY content because of the twists that will leave you stunned but I am going to recommend that you one-click this piece of art now. It’s something new in a really great way. You will be constantly guessing but just forget it because it’s useless. Just buckle up for the ride and be amazed and stunned with the rest of us.

Paper Dolls by Hanna Peach is a romantic suspense that will have you gripping your Kindles. The author's writing is such that you find yourself in the story, feeling everything. The mystery, suspense, and twists and turns engages the reader as you are always guessing, analyzing, and feeling. Then the shocking conclusion will leave you stunned with your mouth hanging open because you will not see it coming. I'm not easily fooled but this brilliant author got me good.

Author Hanna Peach writes 100% story that you will not be able to put down until the very last word. There's is no filler nor is there a sex scene every other chapter, which was refreshing. In fact, you don't get an actual sex scene at all but rather sexual tension that is so scorching hot that you'll worry about your Kindle and yourself combusting! Other than that, you get a story that captivates and engages you while making you feel everything.

The writing is flawless as is the dialogue, plot and character development and continuity. The story flows effortlessly and captivates the reader completely. Don’t even try to put this one down before this the very last word.

Yes, yes, yes, I definitely recommend this book and this author!

5 Hauntingly Beautiful Stars!! :)

This book has one of the best Prologue's i have ever read!! I was hook, line, and sinker from there on out. Paper Dolls was such a unique read and i couldn't help but want to read slower just to savor the story. It was beautiful, dark, and gripping. There were so many things that happened that literally shocked me to my core. Ms.Peach created such an amazing world filled with uncertainty, love, and choices. It was my first time reading anything by her and i can promise you it will not be the last time either! The writing was fantastic and the story had a steady pace to it. This is one of those books that i wouldn't mind reading again multiple times! :)

Aria Adams was a character that had daily reminders of her past whether they were intended or not. She was shy but very strong and i admired that about her. I wasn't sure where her mind was exactly at at first which led me to keep flipping the pages. My heart broke for her many times and i couldn't help but wish things were different for her.

Clay Jagger was a character that was the definition of swoon worthy! I mean a guy that quotes Shakespeare wins my heart. He was kind and very hilarious at times. In my opinion he was a character that was easily one of the most likable male leads that i have come across. Can i be his Angel? :)

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a read that will surprise you, shock you, and keep you guessing until the very end! One-click it today!! I promise you won't regret it!! 5 Stars all Around!! :)

I found the book entertaining and it did keep me turning the pages. It's a testament of unconditional love, although, I don't feel like we really get to see that too much. I say that only because I felt the majority of the book was based around the suspense.

If you want to be surprised at how this story ends, stop reading this review. You've been warned. My next comments will give it away.

With that being said, I didn't find the outcome very surprising; I had suspensions that it would turn the way it did from very early on. You see, when I was in 7th grade, I read a book called Jennifer and Her Selves. I absolutely loved it. It is about a girl visiting a psychiatrist who discovers she has many personalities. It was maybe one of the first serious books that I read that wasn't part of a school curriculum - to get an idea of what my leisure reading was prior, think all things Judy Blume, Beverly Cleary, Louis Sachar, RL Stine, Sweet Valley High, Babysitters Club, and similar. Anyways, I found the story fascinating. It intrigued me and resulted in an expansion of the types of books I've read. Because of this, Jennifer and Her Selves has stuck with me through the years.

I've also read a few other series that deal with Associative Personality Disorder. So for me, it wasn't hard for me to take that plunge and go there. I think if I would have been caught off guard, I would have given the book 5 stars. Well, I also felt the ending was a bit rushed and would have liked a bit more to the relationship between Clay and Aria. Other than those things, I felt this was a solid book. I enjoyed it and I think most will find the ending as a twist.

I am absolutely stunned! I just got done reading this book and I am at a loss. I have typed, deleted, and re-typed this darn review so many time.
This book was beyond anything you could ever imagine. I am a huge fan of Hanna Peach and I love all her books but this one tops them all.
Starting this book you can envision how the story will go but then the author takes you in a completely different direction. This book blew my mind and I could not put it down.
The characters in this book will forever be in your heart, I guarantee. Aria is my hero and what she went through is completely heartbreaking and breathtaking all at the same time. Then she overcame it in time and that is completely phenomenal.
Then you have Clay! He is an amazing character. When you hear or see the line "he will go to hell and back for me"....that is Clay.
I am rambling. I am sorry, but in all fairness I did tell you that I am at loss. When you read a book this good....it is hard to form sentences.
All I know is that Paper Dolls is brilliant, mysterious, sad, and heartbreaking, soul ripping, lovely, beautiful, not your normal love story.
So go and get it because you will love it!!!

Cliffhanger: No

❤Arc for honest review❤

I normally don’t like books whose prologues portray future and then it starts from the beginning. But when i started to read, it intrigued me. This prologues is one of the best starters for books I’ve ever seen.

The story started out as cute and lovey and then it just kept building up. I adore authors who can keep it interesting throughout whole book adn it’s not even that short of a book. It was really emotional and I think I saved a million quotes while reading it (not literally).
I liked the characters. Aria was really interesting and complex and I’ve never read a book with a charachter that has this disorder. It was different and that’s what made it special.

And then there’s Clay. He’s the definition of real love. I mean who stays by a girls side through all that crazy, and it was one hell of a crazy, and just supports her till the end. I love him now too, you know. One of the best book boyfriends so far.

Plot was intense but so good and I loved it, not something I’ll forget very soon.

Thank you Hanna Peach for this amazing read!

Exquisitely written. Hanna Peach continually surprises me with the brilliance of her writing. This is a very hard review to write since I don’t want to give away any of the brilliance of this story. Aria is a broken soul. As we spend time with her we learn that her twin sister has left her for a while and she has been seeking her, when her twin reappears we then learn about the horrors that happened during their childhood and shaped Aria. As she is trying to find her strength and stand on her own we feel the pain and struggle that life has given her. Clay is an amazing man that loves Aria. He is patiently waiting for Aria to find that strength and trust what she feels. As he waits, he becomes a positive force helping her view the world differently. Ultimately, Aria is faced with a choice about how to live her life and who to love/trust. This novel delivered an incredible story of love and sacrifice that blew me away. I’m still reeling from the power of the journey and the incredible twists and turns that had me guessing to the very end. I was given a copy for an honest review.

Wow! My brain seems to have checked out in order to process this amazing story!

I don’t know what I was expecting when I started reading Paper Dolls. Perhaps a romance story with a twist? What I do know is I was NOT expecting such a mind blowing, heart breaking, unforgettable book!

Right from the very start this story had me feeling uneasy. There was a strong sense that something wasn’t quite right. I’m ashamed to say that I started thinking that perhaps I just wasn’t connecting to the story, that perhaps Hanna Peach’s writing just wasn’t for me. Then BOOM! Massive plot twist, that I never saw coming knocked me down and left me stunned.

All of those moments that didn’t add up. All of those times I felt as though I was missing something. Suddenly it all made sense and I was left kicking myself for not seeing it sooner!

No matter your preferred genre, Paper Dolls is a story you don’t want to miss! Thank you Hanna Peach, your writing is intelligent, beautiful and inspiring!

Paper Dolls is a really good suspense filled story. Aria 18 has been looking for her twin Salem for 3 years something goes down to make them runaway. Aria meets a very sweet and persistent Clay. Clay is amazingly patient and so loving towards Aria they are so cute together. He believes in her and wants a beautiful future with her.
Aria and Clay both have secrets. The secrets unfold through the book which I really liked it kept me totally engaged in the story.
I'm keeping my review vague because this is a story you have to experience there's a lot of layers and I'm not a spoiler brat :)

The writing is really good!! This is my first Hanna Peach book and it's definitely not my last.

This story had me hooked from the prologue I needed to know wth was going on. Is Beautifully written it just draws you in and you keep turning till the end.

This book Kept me guessing till the end, I love books that mess with my head and this one did just that, I knew nothing about this book before I started I didn’t want to know I suggest you go into it blind and just enjoy the ride

The Story begins with a Bang on the Prologue. when you hit Chapter one we find out Aria is looking for her Twin sister Salem who she hasn’t seen in 3 years. She Blames herself for her sister going missing as the book goes on things are explained.

I have to say I loved Clay he is so sweet strong, he really Loves Aria….

If you like Mind F*cks you will like this book

When I read the synopsis for Paper Dolls by author Hanna Peach, I was immediately intrigued. I thought I was going to get a fast paced story leading in a cataclysmic end.

I mean for God's sake it started out with a virgin working in an adult toy boutique.

Instead what I got was something more meaningful and deep, raw and highly emotional wrapped in engaging storytelling. This is the kind of story that stays with you long after you read it.

A brilliantly written psychological romantic thriller that had engaging characters, dramatic plot and twists all perfectly balanced with tragedy and romance. A must read.

Wow! What a great book this was! It sent me on an emotional roller coaster ride! Without giving anything away, I just want to say that this is a story with depth and layers! This author drew me in from beginning to end! This is a story about unconventional and unconditional kind of love! As the author wrote, "My name is Aria. I'm 18. And today, I must choose. One of the two people I love has to die". Bring the tissues when you read this!

Yet again I'm blown away. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to finish. I thought the author was leaving holes every step of the way. But the writing is beautiful and I couldn't put it down, and come to find out those holes are there on purpose. I won't tell you any more, other than keep reading. You won't regret it.

3.5 This started out solid. I loved the angst and sense of mystery. Loved Clay and again, the ANGST. But, I wish I didn't figure out the twist so soon and the last 25% got repetitive, skimmed a little. But, over all I enjoyed it.

This is a story like nothing I have read before it grabs your attention and keeps you there. The characters are all brilliant and play a vital role throughout the read. Clay is an artist who takes an interest in Aria, they are comfortable with each other and you hope it will turn in something serious. Clay has his own deep issues which he deals with, Aria is eighteen years old and trying to find her twin sister Salem who ran away three years ago, she settles in Mirage Falls and finds a job in a lingerie shop. She is torn between her love for him and her love for her sister so when it comes for her to make a choice she starts to remember long forgotten traumas. This story does not go the way you expect it (in a great way) there is so much more to it that you certainly won't be disappointed.

Wow, what can I say without giving away the story and being a spoiler. An amazing story that will grasp your attention and keep you page turning. Aria and Salem are twin sisters and Clay is Aria's boyfriend. Clay was so supportive of Aria as she searched for her missing twin. The book begins with its ending as a prologue, giving you a glimpse of what is happening. Then it lets you draw your own conclusion. Aria has a gun and she has to chose….Salem or Clay. Who will live? Then it backs up four weeks, giving you context and background that comes up to the final choice . An amazing book that is full of suspense and twists. I received a complimentary book from the author and voluntarily chose to review it.

“Sometimes we need to crumble to nothing before we can rebuild ourselves into someone better.”
This story starts with its ending as a prologue. You draw your own conclusions as you read and I changed mine a few times. I was invested in the characters and the story. This isn’t the typical New Adult read. I went into this story without knowing what it was about and I think that is the best way to read it. For my review I won’t go into plot but do know it has some triggers to be aware of (abuse, disorders rape). Sienna Blake has written a raw, emotional, psychological page turner that is Brilliant!
The version I read included the novella Paper Hearts. This is told from Clay’s perspective and tells how Clay, Aria, and Salem first meet.
