What's a girl to do when her high school crush sparks a very adult fling?I'm not perfect. I know that. My curves have curves, and I'd rather bury my nose in a book than have a conversation with a real live person. Especially one who really might be perfect.Connor was the guy in high school. The one everyone wanted to be friends with. The guy every girl fantasized about. The guy who didn't even know I existed. It didn't really matter, though. High school was forever ago, and I was okay with who I was. Even if I could stand a few less curves. So, why is Connor asking me to dance? And why is he showing up at my work? And why am I having such a hard time saying no to his sweet words and even sweeter kisses? It can't be real. Girls like me don't end up with guys like him. Do they?

USA TODAY Bestselling Author Mary E Thompson spent most of her childhood wishing she had a few less curves. She hid in the pages of books because her favorite characters never cared what size her clothes were. Now, neither does Mary, and she writes stories that celebrate women like her. Real women who have curves, chase dreams, and find love, because we should all be happy, no matter our dress size.
Mary spends her non-writing time with her husband and two kids, watching too much TV, cheering for her hometown football team (Go Bills!), and hiding chocolate from her family.

Next to Mandy, the most insufferable member of this group of sad fat friends, to read. Connor Lee was AWFUL, at least Xander was a nice blank slate of a character. Inoffensive in his blandness. Connor was just...terrible. Riley was bland enough herself, a compilation of quiet fat girl stereotypes in the role of bookstore employee. Unlike Mandy's story, it wasn't Riley that made this book almost unreadable (though she certainly contributed to that). It was Connor. There's nothing like a wholly unlikable male lead to make you not want to read a book.

Riley had a crush on Conner in high school. He was the jock and popular and she was the overweight nerd with her head stuck in a book. 11 years later she sees him at her friends wedding. After asking her to dance and then all but running out she figured he still went after the skinny well built women.
Riley is great. I loved her in the other books and was glad she got her own story. She was down to earth and had some of a self image issue but she really didn't dwell on it. Conner comes off as a jerk in the beginning and you almost hope someone else comes into Riley's life. Slowly the real Conner emerges and you can't help feeling for the guy and falling in love ( or is it lust) with him

So the biggest problem I have with this book is how everyone kept calling Conner a jerk. He wasn't a jerk... Just because he didn't talk to Riley in high school doesn't make him a jerk. He never did anything to hurt her... It's actually a jerk move on the rest of the characters to lump him into the jerk category when he did nothing to deserve it.

Love For All Sizes

I really enjoyed this book, maybe because I could myself in Riley. I can relate to the of love of books and being hard on yourself because of how you look so you don't deserve the guy. Riley was very relatable and real. Like Sam's story there are parts where I shook my head because she was being stubborn about not being a good match for Connor. But when I thought about it, it's because she's acting how a person would act in real life, how I would react to avoid being hurt or disappointed. I could also relate to how she viewed her body and how it can affect how you view yourself as not worthy or good enough. Both characters weren't perfect and dealt with their own demons to get their happy ending. I really enjoyed the story and how everyone can relate to Riley's feelings and thoughts no matter what you look like or what size you are. Her character and struggles and dreams are believable and realistic.

I have to admit it is sooo nice to read books about curvy and full figured women who are viewed as sexy and beautiful. I can relate to these women and their struggles. It's refreshing to see the main character doesn't have to be a thin, lean and fit, petite woman to get the guy. I also like the dedication Mary Thompson had in her books, she dedicated it to all the women no one talks about. Thank you for giving us girls who are in double digit sizes stories.

I started this series out of order, Sam's story was the first book I read. I decided to continue on to Riley' s story rather go back and start with book one. Honestly you could read the books out of order because each one gives a quick history of what happened in all the previous books, but I'm sure it would probably be better to read them order. The story is told from the female character's POV, so you don't see the story from the male character. It would've been nice to have the male character's POV even if it was in the third person and in short chapters. But I think by Mary Thompson doing that you were more invested in main character and her journey because in real life you don't know what the person is thinking or what they're dealing with. So you're on a path of learning and figuring out the male character along with Ri!ey, Sam, and the other ladies in this series. You also see them figure out their own struggles. So far I've enjoyed this series and am continuing on with it. The writing, the world and character building are very good. Some parts I cried and other's I laughed. Everyone should have friends like these ladies. The sexy scenes are very well done too and have just the right amount if steam.

I'm a sucker for the premise. An avid fan of curvy heroines, hells yeah! Second chance at a high school crush , yes please! But it left me with a lukewarm meh over all. I enjoyed it though and it kept me company.

I liked components, the great friends, her passions and I think her descriptions were really eloquent. However, I wanted more, I felt like there was too much detail in some areas that had no real purpose and other things important to the plot of their relationship were rushed and told not shown. I lost interest in certain scenes and just skimmed. The ending threw me, rushed and surprising but I guess it all worked out. Its odd, I just felt like there was simultaneously too much detail and it was too vague all at once and I can't really put my finger on why. I just didn't buy the characters chemistry, it often felt unnatural. I wanted to love it, I really did. Loved the besties final speech tho, that was iconic.

Loved It!

I have loved every book I have read in this series. Being a fluffy girl myself it is good to see these characters being so raw and real with their fears and desires. All of these friends are business women independent of the men that love them. Looking forward to reading the whole collection😊

This was my least favorite book of the series so far. Connor for me was totally unlikable until like the last 3 pages of the book. Even Riley for me wasn’t that great. Nobody is that self-sacrificing to totally give up your life’s dream, when there was an entire family who could’ve pitched in to help the one sister.

What a sweet story complete with all the things a sugary sweet romance needs.
There were cupcakes and muffins, lots of girlfriends and sisters, books and hot guys.
And of course our smart, curvy heroine falls in love with and gets to fall in love and make all her dreams come true.

This series was so good I could not put it down and I rushed to get the entire series...all 13 books of them. You will absolutely love every single character in the book, you will laugh out loud through and just shake your head at the antics of these fearless women. No spoilers, sorry. Go on, hurry don’t hesitate, these are just to damn good to pass up. My review will be the same for all 12 books cuz they are all amazing!

Riley loves working at READ but her job is in jeopardy when her bosses decided it's time to retire. Connor used to be at high school with Riley, she had a huge crush on him but he was the jock. Can he win her affections.

Can we dig a little more into the guys? They are so flat. I had high hopes for Brady and Connor. Connor really fell flat though. I am sorry I couldn’t believe Riley’s sister.

This is the book that turned me onto this series. I read the sample and had to buy it and start at the beginning.
I love how this book started off....with a Wedding!!! Riley, Carrie and the guys are sitting at the wedding when they notice Connor sitting a few pews away staring in Riley's direction. Of course Riley doesn't believe Connor is looking at her. She believes he doesn't know who she is or remember her from their school days.
Boy was she surprised when he comes up to talk to her.
Connor convinces Riley to go out with him. I thought he was sweet to bring her to his granny's personal library to borrow books.
These two are one of my favorite couples because Riley is a book lover and Connor loves that about her!
A definite must-read!!!

Sweet series 🧁☕️🧁☕️🧁 But, honestly… this is the most boring couple… well he is at least (to me), she’s another very nice & smart gal!!💖 But Big, BIG points to him for how he asked his forgiveness before declaring his love for & to her🥰

Read again for 2nd time on Galatea (as series ✨magically✨ disappeared from my iBook library) just had to deal with the annoying 6hr wait between itty-bitty chapters 🙄🙄🙄

Wow!

This is a very very good book! I didn't want Riley with Connor for most of the book but at the end I kinda liked the match.
