Marko Delacroix

Rate this book
**This boxset contains the entire Marko Delacroix series. That's 5 novels--Prey, Blood Bound, Lure, Rule, and Reign.** There are things that exist that cannot be explained or comprehended. Creatures so terrifying that the human mind refuses to believe the possibility of their existence. Romantism of evil can only get you so far—dead. The stories are there throughout history. The proof is not. At least…until now. I am Marko Delacroix, a Master Vampire, and I am not redeemable. Politics, power, greed. Nothing will stop me from getting what is rightfully mine. What I never saw coming was Tessa. She entrances me, calls to something that shouldn’t be amongst the deadness inside of me. But even she won’t get in my way. Twists, turns, death. It will soon mold the path that leads to my rightful spot on the throne. This world is mine, and I’ll do anything to prove it. There’s only one person who is destined to stop me. Hunter. His love for Tessa is supposed to be the end of my kind, but he doesn’t know what I have planned. No one does. This is my story—my world—my rise to reign. Everyone wants to rule. Few are willing to sacrifice themselves to prove it. ****WARNING**** This book contains adult content, very graphic violence, disturbing situations, and very strong language. May contain TRIGGERS. Intended for mature audiences.

Warning: this series is dark, disturbing and completely addicting. You won’t be able to put it down. The Marko Delacroix Series is the modern day Bram Stoker's Dracula: sparkly vampires need not apply.

The boxset includes all 5 books in the Marko Delacroix series: Prey, Blood Bound, Lure, Rule, and Reign.

The story of Marko Delacroix will stay with me forever, and I feel that every book in the series gets better and more detailed than the last. I can’t get enough, and even though I’ve reread every book in the series multiple times, when I downloaded the boxset, it was a must that I reread every book yet again. The Marko Delacroix series plays in your head like a movie. Every twist and turn keeps you hanging to the edge of your seat. The storyline will have you guessing what will happen next, and at times, you will feel you have a grasp of what is in store, but I can guarantee that it will never be what you are expecting. Alaska Angelini made Marko Delacroix’s world brilliantly dark, and brings back the vampires of old. The power hungry, manipulative, darkly brutal and completely dangerous monsters they truly are. From start to finish, the character development is amazing and allows you as the reader to take a journey with Marko, Tessa and Hunter. The emotional investment is deep and true, you feel as if you are a creepy stalker watching from a dark corner…. but hey whatever works, right?

If you read any of my individual reviews, you’d know it’s no secret, I love Marko Delacroix to death. All of the twistedness that comes with him, Marko is the perfect blend of what a vampire should be: hot as f**k and so dangerous he makes the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. I also have a huge lady boner for Tessa, and I found myself falling for her just as much as Marko. She takes no shit and I love it!

I see huge things for this series, and one day soon, you will be seeing Marko on the silver screen. One way or another, Marko demands his time, and will not take no for an answer. So do yourself a favor, if you haven’t read the series, this get on it now, don’t ask questions just get on it!

Alaska Angelini will take you on the ride of your life, but you may or may not leave this series emotionally scarred.

Prey #1 ****
Started out kind of slow and a bit repetitive throughout with not much going on, but is setting up for something bigger. Can't wait to read what happens next...
Blood Bound #2 ****
Picks up right were Prey leaves off. I just finished reading and am still not sure how I feel about the twist in this second book. The characters change so much in this book and I am still wondering if I like the changes and development to them. Overall good read.
Lure #3 ****
Best book in the series and the darkest so far!! You never know what is going to happen next. Love the way the story is going!!
Rule #4 *****
Wow...Just wow!! So may twist and turns. I can't count how many times I thought, "This cannot be happening" and just when you think things are going to finally work out...another twist! I will not leave any spoilers as this book is to good to do that you really need to read!!
Reign #5 ****
Great series!! This last book could have used some editing which I didn't notice as much in the other books in this series. I am not sure how I feel about the ending. In a way it felt rushed, though I am not sure of a better way for it to have ended. Overall great series and would recommend the read!

I really like the concept... girl falls in love with mysterious vamp, then the love triangle and then the fighting... through to the 3rd book... a little repetitive as has been mentioned before but wasn't too bad....

what I didn't love was the last book in the series. it seemed way too far fetched to me the plot line changed too quick what was a love triangle really became something different to much back and forth not enough action and real plot development

all that being said I read all of them one after another till finished to see how everything ended for Tessa.

I think Hunter should have ended up in his own spin off to this series of Tessa and Marko. he deserved a better and different ending with more character development in another book. likewise Tessa and Marko deserved a better ending. Tessa was easy to get into and Marko was mysterious with more development on his past could have been even better.

overall a good book for people who are into the paranormal lovin

This is the best vampire series I've read. I love how Tessa gets stronger with each book until she reaches her true potential in the final book. Marko is my favorite vampire ever. I love how he is with Tessa throughout the entire series although I was mad at him a few times. They are a power couple. Tessa is amazing. I love this series.

I usually love her books, but this series was very drawn out. I started scanning at 64% and then skipped to the end when I hit 68%. I skimmed some more at 97% until the last chapter. It definitely wasn't my favorite of her books.

A fun vampire romp, not as dark as some of her work but it was an engaging read all the same. It was great to see a polyamorous twist to the romance.

I have reviewed the first 3 books separately, but then grabbed the complete series to finish. I loved this series, loved the strong love between Marko and Tessa, and loved the different vampire world that was portrayed in these books. So different from the usual vampire stories. But while I would have rated this series 5 stars, I had to drop one star because of the last book. That last book just didn't work for me. It seemed like the characters changed too much for me to believe. In particular, the ending. I don't want to leave a spoiler, but I was not happy with the way things ended for Marko, Tessa and Hunter. It seemed like it could have ended differently, and even had a spin off series from it. While I love Alaska's writing, I wish she had ended this series differently.

From the first line, to the last page, throughout the series, I was hooked and I was unable to resist the call of this enticing storyline. Alaska Angelini has managed to do what I thought impossible: she has given new life to an overplayed genre and has created an amazing new world of conspiracy, lust, power and betrayal. Brutality is the name of the game, and no one is immune to it's harsh lesson.

In the Marko Delacroix Series, she creates an amazing subculture of vampires; one that is so chillingly detailed, you might wonder for a moment if there might be a speck of truth in her tale. The characters are so enthralling... your loyalties will be tested again and again. By the end of the series, you'll be begging for the more. Five stars is not enough to rate the book equivalent of 100% addictive crack. With each installment, Alaska Angelini drags the reader deeper into the dark word of Marko, Tessa and Hunter, leaving you itching for more. By the end of each story you'll either be sitting in the dark praying for daylight, or throwing a tantrum. Either way, it'll be a hell of a ride.

Originality, passion and excitement: Alaska Angelini has created something in the Delacroix series that few others have ever managed.

Vampires, sex, manipulation, blood, whats not to like! The series is very dark, hot as hell, and a page turner. Alaska has a real knack for writing books that hook you from the start!
