War is everything to Aigneis McGowan. Since her father's death, her life has been driven by one revenge.

She is twenty-one—a beautiful, fiery woman; leader of her clan and undisputed swords-woman. But when she comes face to face with the object of her hate—the heir to the clan who killed her father—the views which have shaped her life are challenged in ways she did not think possible.

On the battlefield, leading her clan against the man she has come to love, Aigneis finds that some questions have no easy answers, and sometimes vengeance entraps us.

Will she find the truth? Will she triumph? And, most will she follow her heart?

A tale of passion, love and war; set in the stark and lofty wild of the Scottish Highlands.

This is a stand alone romance.

Poorly written

The writing was all over the place like the author couldn't decide what type of writing to do. 1 person, second person etc.

This review is only for 'Claimed by the Enemy Highlander'. My copy contained several 'bonus' books, if I read them, I'll review those under their proper title.

All in all, despite the title, this was a fairly sweet story. Yes, there was sword fighting, but no graphic violence.
The story was well-written and coherent, and properly edited. Despite following a familiar pattern (boy & girl meet, hate each other because of family feud, but fall madly in love with eachother), it didn't read as a carbon copy of another work.
In its genre, a very pleasant read.

So much to say...

The first 3 stories were boring and lazily written. The next three were better. There was no research for the time period for the first 3 stories. I will get rid of any books not of Highland Shifters series.
