This book is a story about a beautiful, ambitious woman coming to terms with a bad decision. While dealing with a debilitating illness, she finds the courage to seek forgiveness for her lies and deception. With her faith in God restored, she does an about face on her series of lies and deceptions, and seeks forgiveness from friends and family. She fears her husband will never find it in his heart to forgive her. This book is a testament to God's grace and mercy. I highly recommend it.
This book taught me that our childhood trauma can affect our adult relationship with others that we love. Jessica wanted to prove to herself that she had to be in control of her own life and career. Jessica almost lost her husband for not trusting in him to face with her arthritis that she had to deal with while she wanted it not to create a problem with her career. Don’t push those in your life that loves you away because you think they will not understand what you are going through. Jessica let go of all her past hurt by going to a therapist and clearing up everything on how she felt on something in her past with her sister and her parents. Jessica at the end allowed God work everything out with her husband Keith and her family.
This was a great book in the Finding Home series. In reading this book it reminds us that communication is so important in our relationship. The author took us on a journey of what one could possibly go through with a chronic illness. I love the support system the friends provided. I love how the author showed how past hurts have a way of effecting us in decisions that we make later in life. The author did a great job with this story. It would have been a 5 star read but it had several typos.
I am looking forward to reading more front his author.
I totally enjoyed this book. Ms. Adams is one of my favorite writers. I like how she keeps story lines simple but interesting. This helps to keep the book interesting. This story followed the three sisters from the previous Winds of Change books. It was very easy to relate to the characters and enough information was given so that you could reconnect with the previous books as well. I'm sure this is probably the end of the series but I would definitely love to read more from these characters.
Sometimes I will start a book that does not necessarily catch my mind or I am not feeling the book. Most of the time I am not in the correct frame of mind for the message. Back a few months I was reading Finding Home by Stacy Hawkins Adams. I returned the book without finishing it. Well today I checked it out and can I say I am glad that I did. I heard and felt her message. Thank you Stacy Hawkins Adams. I am ready to read the 2 other sister stories!
This was a marvelous read. Jessica and Keith's story gives us faith to know that even in our most daunting times we can rise above adversity. A belief in God is what we all need to overcome life's challenges! Stacy Hawkins Adams' novels never fail to give God all the glory which only Be deserves!
This book was was just as god as the last. Unable to do anything but finish the book once I start it. This was about Jessica and her belief that it is ok to lie to get what she wants, regardless of the cost. God is good
Going back through my notes on this one! Such a powerful & heart-searching book!! Looking for a good book on forgiveness & the power of God for your life? Start right here w/this one. Stacy Hawkins Adams is such a dynamic writer who weaves the word of truth through every chapter!!!
Excellent storyline about honesty, guilt, professional and personal problems. Trying to deal with any of these without God only leads to worse problems.
