When Yankee gyal Kadijah visits the beautiful island of Jamaica with her friends Nicole and Tamia, she does not expect the events that follow. After a nasty break up with her two timing ex Daryn and her graduation from culinary arts school, all she wants to do is unwind and maybe have a one night stand. However, when she meets sexy rude boy turned DeeJay, Omari, the drama quickly unfolds instead. Once Omari locks eyes with Kadijah his life will never be the same as he knows it. He is feeling the feisty American beauty, but his wife, the beautiful but fiery Angela, is having no parts of it. She will stop at nothing to make sure that no woman takes her husband away from her. Especially not some Yankee!
I enjoyed this Read by Nika and Raquel. The moment Didi steps foot in Jamaica the story takes off. Angela and Didi mouths were reckless in this book and Angela was one wicked chick. The story goes back and forth between English and Jamaican Creole (patois) , and it was well written and very authentic. Part 2 will be interesting because that ending was crazy. Good Read.
I really enjoyed this book. The book had a great flow the characters were very good. I didn't really care to much for Daryn he was just a damn character. I really hoping that Omar and Di Di get together they would be so cute. Angela will gets what is coming for her. We will see in part 2. Great job ladies.
I enjoyed this read. Things started off Rocky for Didi and Omari. Hopefully things can work out and he get his situation straight. They definitely have the chemistry. Will read part to two in order to see what happened. I enjoyed this
If you're looking for a book full of mess and drama ... This is it. As an island gyal i enjoyed the book. Some things were relatable. I listened to the audio and the faux Jamaican accent was a bit cringy but overall an enjoyable read.
In Love With A Rude Boy, A Top Shotta’s Love Story by Nika Michelle and Racquel Williams was a great book. The cover does not do this story justice. This chapter gave the book 5 stars. The book was well edited and the cover stood out. The story flowed smoothly and kept us entertained and wanting to read more. The story was about a young lady who was trying to get her life together while attending culinary school. By the time she graduates, she discovers that her boyfriend was engaged to another woman. Her friends treat her to a vacation to Jamaica during Dream weekend. There she encounters a DJ who has eyes on her and wants to get to know her better and the same with the protagonist however the DJ failed to mention that he has a twist of his own. You will have to read it and find out exactly what that twist is and how it's handled. This story was well plotted and progressed at a steady pace. You are able to follow the characters in the story and determine if you want to like or dislike them. We are hoping this author doesn’t leave us hanging and will follow up on this story sooner rather than later. We look forward to reading more of her work as well as another collaboration between these two authors.

We as a chapter gave the book 4 stars. The book was well edited and we loved the cover. The story flowed smoothly and kept us entertained and wanting to read more. DRMRAB Atlanta Chapter ( JUNE ) Discussion

This book left you wanting more and waiting to see what's going to happen next in part 2. What are your thoughts when you get out of a bad relationship? Are you trying to recover? Are you ready to move on? What if the one for you is miles away?
Kadijah is young and making moves for herself. In college to become a chef, a loving boyfriend, the best friends ever, and the love of family. She has it all until one day a woman comes knocking at her door. The woman lets her know that her boyfriend is her fiancee and she needs to leave him alone. Kadijah does what most women should do, and put that man to the curb. She graduates from culinary school and moves on from her failed relationship. Her best friends Tamia and Nicole are taking her on a trip to Jamaica. What will happen in Jamaica? Will what happens in Jamaica stay in Jamaica?
Omari is a Jamaican through and through. He is a DJ and married with two kids. His marriage lately is just a shell of a marriage. He is cheating out of both pant legs and does not have any intentions on stopping. His wife Angela knows but she loves and stays. Angela loves Omari to the max and is willing to do anything to keep him. Omari is over being married and is really thinking of leaving, but has continued in the marriage because of the kids.
Kadijah and the girls arrive in Jamaica ready to party and have a mind blowing time. The girls go out to a party and this is where Kadijah meets Omari. The first impression wasn't the best impression, but she marked her spot with Omari. Omari is enthralled by Kadijah and knows she will be in his bed before she leaves Jamaica. Omari and Kadijah hit it off and the sparks that are flying are enough to make them spontaneously combust. Omari omits the fact that he is married because he didn't think he would fall for Kadijah, but he does just that. Angela gets a bug in her ear about Omari cheating and this time she catches him red-handed. She makes a plea and Omari does not choose her. Now don't think that Angela is an angel because she is far from it.
Omari's omission of truth costs him Kadijah. Kadijah is without a doubt not wanting to be with a married man and leaves Jamaica. She returns stateside and goes on with her life. Omari is not letting her go that easy, he's calling and texting every day. He refuses to lose Kadijah. What will happen with Omari and Kadijah? Will Angela's true crazy come calling? What will it cost Kadijah for falling in love with a Jamaican rude boy?
I am rating five stars. This was a great read with international flair. The two authors flowed seamlessly. You could not distinguish between them. A wonderful collaboration of great talent for giving a great story.

First of all Daryn was a stupid joke! I couldn't take him serious even if I wanted to. Nita is a true nut case and if she keeps playing with Didi she'll get exactly what she's looking for. I love the friendship Didi shares with Nicole and Tamia. They definitely have a bond and seem to look out for each other. Omari was too much and I wish he would've explained his situation before everything that happened between him and Didi. Don needs to stop running his mouth so much too. I really need somebody to lay hands on Angie because that heifer is downright dirty. Her boy toy isn't any better and it's crazy how quick he was willing to turn on his so called friend. I hope Didi makes it to her rude boy in time and they can patch things up once everything comes to light.
I enjoyed this story. From the beginning to the end, the story pulls you into the lives of 3 woman and one in particular that stands out. After being jilted from her boyfriend and graduating from culinary school, her friends take her on a trip to Jamaica during Dream weekend and let's say she has a good time. Of course, there is always something that can happen when you meet a great looking guy there. You will have to read the story to find out what happens and how it moves forward. Needless to say, this plot was very good and very developed. The story flowed and kept you engrossed. I don't recall any grammar errors that will stop you from reading this story. I look forward to reading part 2 and hope for more collaborations from these two ladies.
... You get a banger like In Love With A Rude Boy!!! I thought with the patois I wouldn't know what was being said but surprisingly, I was able to keep up! I hated Angela trifling behind with a passion! Smh just ugh! She rubbed me all kinds of wrong! I absolutely love Omari! If you gonna go out the country and meet a new boo, it may as well be one like him! Minus his home situation of course. DiDi was a cool chick. I really enjoyed her and loved how she wasn't the type of chick that you could get over on. All in all I can't wait for the next book!
This is a collaboration between two of my favorite authors, and as usual, they didn't disappoint. The cover and title caught my attention, and the synopsis drew me in. I started reading and was immediately caught up into the Jamaican dialogue. I found my self trying to speak the language while I was reading. I could not put this book down. I am praying that Omari is ok. I really want him and Didi to be together. I hope that Angela and Garey both get exposed for the snakes that they are. Part 2, here I come.
After being in a relationship with Daryn for two years and found out that he was already in a relationship with someone for four years has Didi all in her feelings. She and her girls go on vacation to Jamaica, were she meets Omari and start have feelings for him. Low and behold unbeknownst to Didi there is a crazy wife in the picture. Angela is one scorned woman and she will do anything to keep her husband. One click and enjoy this read with a lil Jamaican slang. Ready for the finale.
The collaboration of these two authors was a treat to say the least. I love how the use of the Jamaican dialect added to this read. I'm definitely team Kadijah & Omari. Angela, Garey, Daryn and Nita are all lost causes. I hope that Angela's plans backfire on her. I love the chemistry between Kadijah, Nicole & Tamia and also Kadijah & Omari. I can't wait to read part 2 to see how everything unfolds.
Well I must say Racquel and Nika got a five star banger on there hands!! This book hands down was g double o d !!!! Kept my attention from the beginning... Please don't let Omari die!!! And I hope Angie get caught up before its too late! I'm so ready to take a trip to Jamaica and see what its all about reading this book felt like I was there! Hurry with part two!!!
How delusional can one be but in this case four people are definitely delusional as hell. I hope that stunt Angela pulled back fire on her. Hopefully Omari will be okay I can't wait for part 2.
I was annoyed with this one ,I wanted to read more about Omari and DiDi not Angela and her crazy voodoo behind . The story could been so much better if they would of focus on the main characters. I need to know what happened to Omari so will be reading part 2
I loved this collaboration of these two authors. The Jamaician kick added spice to this already hot read. It had a lot of action - twists and turns. But the real kicker is when is part two coming. I need to know what happened. I truly enjoyed this book!
I enjoyed this read. It transported you from the states all the way to Jamaica, complete with the sounds, smells, & language. I'm ready to get down to the next piece.
Absolutely love this book. I am team Kadijah and Omari!!! all the way. They just have a special connection and DiDi finally realized it but I hope its not too late. Guess I have to wait to find out
A good read It didn't keep my attention like her other stories It may have been the patois - trying to translate into English to understand the conversations.
I liked is book. It was an enjoyable read. I hope Omari is okay. Angela and his friend needs to be handled ASAP! Hope part 2 answers the questions I need answered.
This was a funny read. It seems like her voodoo backfired on her in a way. I hope he pulls thru and that fake friend gets caught up with. This is gonna be a good ending
This was a really good collaboration it flowed really well. That damn Angela was Cray Cray! Loved the Jamaican dialogue and all made me want a rude boy!
