I gave it a five star rating because it is pretty interesting and it makes u see zombies are not that mean. One thing I do wish is that the book was WAY longer I finished it in 30 minutes. But I think you should get it and read it but they have to always be free cause I'm not going to pay money for a book I can reed in 30 minutes.
this book is just like diary of a wimpy kid and I luv it!!!!!! It is a very adventurous book and it even ends in a cliff hanger. Bye gotta go read the next book!
Read for my 6 year old Minecraft crazed son. He identified each character just by its short names. For him this was a fun read. But as a parent I didn't find it for reading material for kids
It was cool and it was exciting.,I would get scared at some points but then everything turned out to be ok. I would recommend this book to all my friends. I love this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just because a book uses terms and characters from Minecraft doesn't necessarily make it any GOOD. I know it's geared towards young readers, but the writing is terrible, the plot is weak, and the book contains NO paragraphs. Instead it's just a string of poorly constructed sentences. Kids are smarter than this type of writing, give them more credit to actually READ a story with paragraphs, character development, and plot lines.
***Warning, Contains Spoilers*** This book is epic! I read it and I was left with a tunnel of imagination! I would love to say that I am proud of Zack Zombie and Herobrine books as I have thoroughly enjoyed this book.
So, what is it about?
This book is about a 12-year-old Zombie called… well, it doesn't actually say, and he writes this diary. In it, there are many things he does and I found this book intresting as he just wants to show this one girl, who is called Sally, that he is brave and can take on an Iron Golem on his own. In the end he does it and she becomes his girlfriend.
What is the point of this story?
The point of this story is to show that zombies have quite alot in common with humans. Also, I think it is telling us that you should always try to do something that you are destined to.
Please tell me if you like this review as this is my first one.
I read this aloud to grade 4 students and they loved it. I've not played Minecraft so I didn't understand the references. A zombie boy forms an unlikely friendship with a human boy. The plot has some holes in it but I believe it was referring to the game so much it went whoosh! over my head. Easy to read and mostly dialogue.
This book was pretty cool. I really like how he hates school. He sounds like me sort of. I'm not really sure why creepers don't get affected by sunlight. Notch made it that way I guess. He could try to not get on fire but I'm sorry zombies get on fire. I personally LOVE Minecraft even though my profile picture is my Roblox head and not my Minecraft head, and I might change that.

This book is really interesting to me and SUPER funny too. The zombie talks about his family members and friends ( all the monsters and Steve) in this book and also describes his family and how he is lame in school and how at the end he is SUPER popular in the school
I didn't like this book because I don't like to go out at night. I enjoyed this book because I liked the part when Zack scared a villager so much that he dropped a cake!
We've got puns, a lot of heart, and a nice ending. Some parts, especially in the middle, seemed to be dragging clichés, waywardness, and beating a dead horse (pun intended), but being bite-sized (yep, I'm full-on punning like the book now) and easy to read surely helped. Certainly I'm not the target audience, but appreciate the concept as well as the high points of the story. If I find more in the series, I'd likely pick it up to read between old Godzilla movies.
A Scare of a Dare by is a fast-paced middle and upper primary kids’ book. The main character, a 12 year old Zombie, deals with parents, boredom and bullies. He finds himself up against a deadly Golam. The twist at the end had me wanting to read the next book. I enjoyed the fast pace.
Recommended for 8+ particularly reluctant readers.
This is definitely a great book for minecraft players and lovers. I feel as though you can sort of connect to them in a weird way lol. Anyway 10 out of 10 would recommend
I had pretty low expectations for this book, but it actually turned out better than I originally thought. The writing is similar to a child, but there is an original plot line. My boys loved it and want to read book 2.
