4 zvezdice, samo zato što su me par puta baš slatko nasmejale neke scene i konverzacije. Svi likovi su zaista sjajni i zabavni. Apsolutno sam uživala čitajući ovu priču!
This was a cute run-of-the-mill romcom about Shelby, who runs a matchmaking service, and Nick, whose sister also has a matchmaking service. He decides to spy on the enemy to see how she runs her business and falls for Shelby in the process. The reader also discovers that Shelby is a writer of a children's series that his niece loves so everything ties in and it's all 'small world' situations. The writing is fine and the build-up with Nick and Shelby's tension is nice but it plateaus at a point. There are some things that stand out that I really liked (like Shelby's backstory and the way she felt about her scars) and then others that had me cringing slightly. The dialogue is good at times but so-so at others. It's more of a sweet and funny romcom than a hot and sexy one. I'd say it's a B- on the sexy scale, which isn't really bad but the build-up definitely had me wanting more. The ending made me roll my eyes because it was just so cutesy and superficial. It's a quick read that I read in an evening. I'd probably read the rest of this trilogy because I liked the supporting characters and actually am curious to see what kind of love story they'll get.

The Best Parts: This book is a wonderful rom com. It is light hearted and makes you swoon with anticipation. The characters are so much fun to read, especially Emily and Jo, even though they are secondary characters. The chemistry between Nick and Shelby flies off the page and hits you right in the heart. Nick is a guy that means well, but in the end he is just another guy who thinks he knows what is best, but doesn’t know any better. It makes you on edge every second because you don’t know what is coming next, but you do and then you want to punch something and then you swoon a little more, and then, well then you get all hot and bothered because those kisses. Nick’s kisses. Hot. Like hot that they don’t even have to be “on screen” and still be awesome. All the fact that he is so sweet to Shelby and loves Emily so much.
So basically what you all can get from this book is that it is basically setting up your prince charming and what you should expect from a man who has manners and loves his family so much. Nick is the kind of man ever girl deserves.
The Worst Parts: The one thing that I had trouble getting around was the relationship with Greg. I know that Shelby liked Nick, but she wanted Greg for so long that I didn’t think it like her to just be like ok I’m going to give him up and go after Nick. It seemed a little rushed and the fact that Greg was like ok do what you have to do and then never mentioned again made it almost like his character wasn’t even a necessity to Nick and Shelby being together.
Final Thoughts: The alternating persons in this book is wonderful, but very different from other ones that I have read since it is still in third person even though it is alternating. As well since it is still third person there are things that we still aren’t privy to and this makes great for anticipation. It is a quick read that will leave you satiated at the end of the day.
There is nothing wrong with the book. The female character, Shelby, is strong and well spoken. She has her own matchmaking business and writes children books. The male lead, Nick, is a good guy. There were a few fun scenes and conversations.
But I didn't like it. So it's probably me. For one, it was a little too predictable (I know, I know, I am reading a romance - what do I want?) - and the ending annoyed me because, once again, the guy had to grovel, fix his mistakes and apologize. Why are female characters always right?
The story would have been lovely if I hadn't read a lot of similar books. But this tells me it is time I stop reading romances - at least for a while.
Shelby, a young professional Matchmaker who is still recovering from the emotional and physical and scars of losing her parents to a tragic fire long ago, takes on her toughest client. Nick is good-looking, successful, and built. He’s also a little arrogant. So why would he need a matchmaking agency to find him a date, when women were likely lined up?
The chemistry between them is a wonderful push-pull and a battle of strong wills from the moment they step onto the page together. She wants it all – a husband, a family, a forever kind of love. He wants a no-strings-attached relationship.
Matching Mr. Right is a light and flirty romance with Shelby and Nick battling within themselves and battling with each other at the same time. It had a wonderful balance of emotion, humor, and sensuality. I will definitely read more from Tamra Baumann.
I received this Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.
First of all I have to say this is now one of my favorite books! I felt so many different emotions, I laughed, I cried and I swooned! Shelby runs a successful matchmaking business and has been waiting for her best friends brother(Greg) to come home for two years because she thinks she is in love with him. Nick is a rich business man who has a sister that runs a family matchmaking business that isn't doing so well. He decides to go undercover at Shelby's agency to get info on her success to help his sister. Needless to say sparks fly when they meet. I loved how you see a friendship develop along with the love. They become great friends and pull some good pranks on each other. The chemistry is hot, the love beautiful, the friendship funny and emotional. Add in amazing secondary characters and you have one of the best books I've ever read!
DNF@ 19% - just thought that the h told about her past a little too soon to the H. Something that tragic that happened to you I would think you wouldn’t go around telling someone you just met. Anyways, the reason for the H to not want kids or marriage because he’s afraid to be like his dad yet he has never cheated on anyone at all, just doesn’t fit to me. It’s a lame excuse. It’s not like there is genetic makeup that makes people cheaters. If he doesn’t want to cheat, then he doesn’t have to cheat. Really dumb. So no for me.
Wow! This book s really good. I love that both characters are very likable. They both have issues that's controlled them to move forward but it was not told in the story heavily. Both were resolved as well. It kept the reading very entertaining. I love how their relationship has built up until they fell in love with each other. Love their conversations, it was fun, some dialogues are really funny. Love this author too. I have read several of her books in the past. Can't wait to read more. The ending is very sweet, it was perfect.
I absolutely LOVED the banter and chemistry between Shelby and Nick! I saw many different turns that were not taken throughout, because Ms. Baumann is the author here not me!! (I'm now taking the mental backseat and shutting up to let her drive-her way IS the best way!!) Thank you for the amazing story, still trying to figure out where the 6th star is for this book!! New favorite book will be a follower for sure!!
Decent story of two people people falling in love with each other but refuse to accept it because of their own hang-ups.
Here is what drives me nuts about this book...the cover image. All through the book she talked about her scarred legs and how she doesn't let anyone see them but the cover picture shows her in a cute dress with legs exposed?!
I love a pull me in romance... this is definitely one
I read the sample on my kindle knowing it sounded like the type of book I like and I am so glad to say that I was not disappointed. Tamara Baumann roped me in and pulled forth many emotions. I enjoyed reading Nick and Summer's story. A good cuddle up with this Great Book. Enjoy
A wonderfull book that deserves all the praise it's sure to get!
I picked the rating because it's much deserved. Especially because it reminded me of my wife and my days of courting. Bare in mind that was all over 50 years ago and you can understand why I liked it so much. To say I highly recommend reading it, would be like saying most married people like sex!
This review applies to all three books in the RMM series. These are nice stories, with engaging characters, and an enjoyable writing style. If you enjoy romances with some heat these are a good choice.
Liked this story about Nick and Shelby. It was cute and light. A nice, easy read. No major angst or eye-rolling moments. Felt like the ending (the lasts 48 hours) were a bust rushed, but other than that minor tidbit, it was enjoyable. I would recommend.
This was a really great book. Loved the characters loved the plot. I was truly engaged in this book. I laughed out loud and 😢 at the emotional parts. Glad I found e this author!
This was such a fun storyline with exceptional characters and storytelling. I enjoyed how this story came together with so much feeling and emotions, it was wonderfully written. Definitely a five-star rating for this story.
Loved! Loved! Loved!! I think this is my favorite book by Tamra Baumann yet!! The personality of all the characters in this book made it fly by too fast!
Cute book. Well developed characters, enough drama and depth to the storyline to keep you sucked in. Looking forward to the other books in this series.
