Filled with nifty facts about katydids, including the origin of their names, their feeding and mating habits, this book also contains several large photos of these insects that closely resemble grasshoppers. Anyone who lives in the country and keeps the windows open has surely had the sounds of these creatures. With their ability to blend in with their surroundings and their habit of molting through various stages of their lives, they make for a fascinating subject found often in nature.
