This is a relatively small book which I bought during my travels but for some reason it was not easy to finish it.
It has 6 main parts - Improving Brain Fitness, Improving Productivity, Improving Creativity, Improving Memory, Using Meditation and Programming Your Brain. I really liked first 3 Parts, but last 3 Parts were meh to me. Maybe because I don't really believe in a stuff like self-hypnosis etc. I admit that meditation and mindfulness could help with focusing and relaxation to your mind (I have experience of practising that). I think I'd have more details on that. Regarding memory techniques, the one that I gonna use is Repition (which is pretty obvious, so nothing new to me). It looked like last 3 Parts were very small comparing to first 3 parts, or it felt like that.
Anyway, this book has some useful techniques, so that's why my rating is 3/5. My favorite one so far is a brain dump which helps to reduce anxiety when you have many different deadlines and tasks at the same time.

Nice book about how your brain works and how you can train it so that you improve its overall performance in terms of memory, imagination, stress... The author gives lots of hints and proposes some exercises to help you to understand better how you can achieve those improvements. Other chapters talk about good healthy habits, meditation and auto-hypnosis. At the end of each chapter there is a summary that serves as a quick reference when you need to come back to the book. The author finally encourages you to come back and reread the book after three months both in order to consolidate the book's concepts and so you can check how many of the suggestions you have incorporated into your habits.

Great summary of research findings and useful tips and guidance to apply techniques to daily life. Doesn’t go into too much debt and no breakthrough insights if you’ve read several books on the topic - which can’t be expected of a book of that length - but a good and simple overview, incorporating insights from neuroscience and behavioural psychology.

ega siin polegi midagi väga arvustada: praktiline teadus oma parimais aastais! ja tundub et teema on mind juba pikemalt huvitanud, sest ka täiesti nina püsti ajamata võiks öelda, et ma oleks võinud selle raamatu ka ise kirjutada. “oleme me ikka õigel teel?” küsib Hans von Risbieter kultusfilmis. tundub et oleme.

i intentionally read this book to get to know my brain better then to be able to use it effectively. and for me, i got the sufficient insight as i expected. for the additional point, i like how the author gave us some recommendation application to assist and support us for particular activity.

One of the best books in regards to self development. concise and up to the point. Highly recommended. Will affect you daily life in a great way hopefully.
