Yuki Suetsugu (末次 由紀 Suetsugu Yuki, born September 8, 1975) is a Japanese manga artist. Her career was put on hiatus after she was discovered of being accountable for plagiarism, including tracing. She later resumed her work on March 2007.
She debuted in 1992 in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine with Taiyō no Romance. Her works later moved to Bessatsu Friend magazine, also published by Kodansha.
On 2009-03-24, her work Chihayafuru was chosen for the Manga Taishō.
This volume was so BEAUTIFUL I loved EVERYTHING about it especially finally getting to see Chihaya play against Arata and Taichi finally returning it just felt like a culmination of everything so far and I really went through every emotion.
I loved this quote as well, "Sticking with something and showing perseverance is the only way you can change yourself."
I will say I am annoyed that we got Arata vs Chihaya as a team match in a third place team game but man Captain Chihaya WENT CRAZYYYY!!! That was so good, peak of her playing the game so hopefully think is the climb to queen!!

Plot: Holy shit. This volume put me through a whirlwind of reactions and emotions from adrenaline and tension while Mizusawa fought in their matches and Chihaya fought against Wataya to the shocked pikachu meme when Taichi found out. Taichi’s back, albeit momentarily. Regardless, it was enough to make me emotional lol Characters: The characters are so endearing! Kana, Nikuman-kun, Tsukue-kun, Chihaya, Wataya, Rion, just everyone. They were the best and seeing their endeavours and their struggle in this volume was just saddening. I also really loved the Principal in this one! I love how she encouraged them, comforting them that while third place wasn’t the top, it didn’t mean that third place was inadequate. Verdict: Great volume as always. Although Taichi’s return was short, it was enough to motivate me to continue reading and Chihaya’s victory made me so happy yet guilty because it meant that Wataya lost.
