I have never heard of A.S. Ryder. This is my first foray into their world building. I have to say that I was a bit disappointed by the story of this story. Kane is mourning the lost of his mate which is a woman. I know what you are thinking, why I am disappointed with a guy mourning the lost of his mate, that is not the case.
The reason I was disappointed was because I thought this was a Gay romance but I started to feel as though Kane was going to be very adamant about not wanting to be with a male. Even in the chapter him and Jake got together he was freaking out and keeping it a secret from his friends that he had sex with a male. I am glad that he came to his senses and just did not care in the end but it was still kind of annoying.
I enjoyed all of the secondary characters especially Jake. I found him fun and light to the seriousness that was going on with the pack.

This story was alright. It would've been better if it were longer. Some parts of the story felt choppy. And I would've liked to see more romance built between the two main characters.

Kane is an Alpha and as the leader he as to make sacrifices. It's been a few years since he lost his mate and the time as come he'll have to take another. He isn't interested but will do it for the best of his pack. He travels to meet with his new mate.
While his attended mate isn't able to make it to the meeting, he does meet another man. His true mate! He's never felt this way for someone and has one night of total bliss.
Fast forward... he meets his mystery man again... and he is pregnant! Well it pleases him. There are others who aren't happy and try to take him and his pack out.
It was very quick pace, overall it had a decent plot.

I really loved and enjoyed reading this wonderful book it was so wonderfully written
I really loved and enjoyed reading this wonderful book. It was so wonderfully written I loved every minute of it. I loved the relationship between Kane and Jake. I loved the twists and turns and the edge of the seat action too. I loved Kane and Jake's happy ending and their happy little family too. I will recommend this book to everybody I know and to all my friends too.

The plot of this M/M Mpreg shifter short story had potential and the author can write as some interesting pages clearly shows. Unfortunately it all ends too soon leaving too many interesting possibilities unexploited. A pity, in the end.
The file is also far too expensive for its length so only get it as a freebie.

Very cute story.
A quick read with a cute plot. The story had a good flow to it, kept it interesting without trying to jam too much plot into a short story.
