I want to give it 3, but then 4 because it’s also my fault.

It took me almost half way to start understanding what was going on, but I was too lazy to map out everything from the beginning so I just kept going (half wrong decision I guess) and ended up half understanding things. As much as this collages are beautiful, they are confusing if not keeping track of. So, to anyone considering reading this, keep track of time - look at the date.

I also can’t find any analysis for the sake of borrowing other people’s brain. So I’ll just leave it at this and might comeback to re-read to re-understand it. For the time being, I like the concept around the walk of the elephant.

This fic was so confusing to me. I was lost with the plot and trying to piece the timeline together. I noticed some parallels to Parade of the Sun, like the ring on the necklace that Draco wore to ''help him remember'' and the mention of a specific plant for a potion, so I'm wondering if the two stories are actually related? I also struggled to understand what's happening to Hermione in the story, is she suffering from memory loss or is Draco obliviating her? I can't tell if Draco is jumping through time and crossing multiple alternate universes just to end up with her and if he is, why?????

THREE STARS—I LIKED IT

every thursday always writes with heart and pathos, as far as i've seen to date any way, but she also has a tendency to overcomplicate things. while the timeline hopping could have probably done a LOT of the work, plucking heart strings, she very much obscures things in her admittedly strenuous efforts to show, not tell. basically, half the time i couldn't even tell what was happening. what could have been a slow, horrifying/wonderful reveal was absolutely bogged down by an attempt to be structurally clever that wasn't quite pulled off.

still, she's always VERY interesting, and she does a fantastic job wringing the most out of ever interaction.

3 stars - this is a time travel one and very confusing without constantly flipping back to figure out what timeline you’re in. In typical Sage fashion, it’s written as more of a collage. I wish there was a bit more meat to this story - there’s sooo much potential here!

I can't say too much about this story without spoiling it. Just know that it's a everythursday story which means it's more of a collage and very, VERY, confusing.
It took me I'd say.. until about 60% of the story to understand what the heck was going on.
If you're looking for a quick easy romance this is not it. This is heavily plot driven and philosophical.
I am a huge fan of Sage's and I love the way she writes both Draco and Hermione. If you didn't like The Fallout probably don't try this one.
