Rami came to Windermere for one reason only: to find an Omega to mate. But the process is slow going, especially since most of the Omegas in Windermere pack are female and Rami is gay.

In the meantime there's Naveen. Naveen is possibly the most laid back Alpha Rami's ever met, and definitely the most charming. Nobody has a problem with them being lovers, but what Rami is starting to feel is way beyond casual sex and friendship.

And if anybody finds out, he risks losing both the Alpha he has and the Omega he needs.

About the author

N.J. Lysk (pronouns: whatever) is a queer one—in almost every sense of the word—for whom stories have always been their one true home. She studied linguistics and literature (which is to say, someone offered him a genuine excuse to read professionally) and ended up teaching, but writing is their one true love.

Addicted to angst, enamoured of mpreg and always ready to try a new kink (in a book, that’s it!) she became hooked into the Omegaverse through fanfic (but he doesn't have the patience to write other people's characters) and has recently expanded from werewolves to hockey players.

I went into this story not expecting to love it as much as I did. It was supposed to be a quick read review book. Boy was I wrong. I was totally engrossed with this story. I couldnt put it down till I threw reading it. I give it five stars and recommend it to anyone that reads this genre... or heck even if you dont Id suggest you check it out.

Loved getting Remis POV, also this was definitely a more romantic book than the first book. Story is unfinished, hope the wait for book 3 isn't too long.

Ho amato ogni parola di Rami, ho seguito col cuore in gola tutti i suoi passi e, soprattutto, ho amato quella sua voglia matta di voler avere il suo per sempre.

Spinsi di nuovo verso il basso, godendo della sua larghezza, del calore che mi bruciava dall'interno verso l'esterno... desiderando... desiderando prendere tutto ciò che aveva. Volevo sentirlo venire dentro di me, anche se quello avrebbe dovuto sembrarmi un marchio di possesso, anche se era un marchio di possesso. Volevo sentirgli dire che mi voleva, e volevo sentirlo sulla pelle, avere la prova certa che contavo qualcosa, che ero importante. Non avrei mai potuto avere un legame; era semplicemente impossibile. Ma potevo avere questo, potevo prendere tutto di lui, stringere tutto il suo corpo nel mio e — anche se solo per pochi istanti — possedere tutto, ammettere di volere tutto, a prescindere da ciò che avrei dovuto desiderare invece.

Con il secondo volume N.J ci porta a farci conoscere in maniera più profonda la vita di Rami, com’era prima di Devlin, cosa l’ha portato a diventare quell’uomo pacato che vuole solo fare bene, spesso anche a suo discapito.
Non è facile vederla su questa linea, quando si ha alle spalle tante letture che descrivono gli alpha come forze inesorabili e orgogliose di far sentire la propria voce.
È forse è proprio questa modalità che fin da subito mi ha fatto innamorare di Rami.
Le sue parole sono state così importanti e vere che si fa fatica a non cercare di fare l’impossibile perché possa essere, finalmente, felice.
È diviso tra Naveen e Devlin, ma sa che non potrebbe essere se stesso se non con loro due.
Naveen, d’altra parte è solare, socievole, con la battuta pronta e senza preoccuparsi di poter ferire, ma sa chiedere scusa, sa accettare l’aiuto per non sbagliare col suo omega e sa, senza ombra di dubbio, ciò che ha nel suo cuore e nei riguardi di Rami.
Naveen diventa la spalla giusta per Rami e il suo cuore il luogo dove l'amore di Rami può naufragare senza rischiare di perdersi nella tempesta.
Un volume che nessuno deve perdersi e che vedrà l’epilogo di questi tre uomini nel terzo libro dove li vedremo alle prese del loro essere genitori.

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. You get to learn more of the alphas in this book. Starting off with Rami. Growing up along side a human, how that was one of the many things that changed his views on life..how he came to be in Devlin's pack under Brennan rules and law. Naveen was really an unexpected light to what was to be a bleak settling of the Omega. Emotions run a little higher in here after all you are getting the alpha's side view, the war within themselves as they fight not only their nature but for what the really desire.

It is written from the alphas point of view showing it is not easy for either party in a wolf mating. I enjoyed the story and recommend it for anyone who likes paranormal shifter books. I will read the next book in the series to find out the rest of their story.

Pour ce second tome nous avons la version de Rami, donc c est nécessaire d'avoir lu le premier. Nous avons le ressenti des 2 alphas qui ont beaucoup de mal à comprendre leur oméga mais qui ferait tout pour lui. Hâte de découvrir le tome suivant.
