Book 5 of the rockstar series, Lost in Oblivion.

Music kept them going. Now it's torn them apart…

Guitarist Nick Crandall lost the most important thing in his life—his band—just as he was falling in love. A year has passed, and Oblivion is returning from hiatus. And Nick is ready to ask Lila to spend forever with him, even if he won't have his best friend at his side for the ceremony.

Simon has spent the past year trying to find his way back to the thing that sustained him in his darkest hours, then grew to be his biggest demon. Margo has been at his side, but she's tired of him denying his dreams. With her help, he’s ready to admit it’s showtime.

Perhaps he's even ready to stand up for his best friend…and face him on the stage that united them so long ago.

It’s do or die, one more time.

**The guys—and their women—are in the driver's seat in Owned, and the ride's gonna rock. This is the FINAL book in the Lost in Oblivion rockstar series.**

“Rock and Roll is here to stay” just like these magnetic characters and their awesome rock stories will stay with me forever.
"There were so many components that made a band great. That special synergy on stage, the blend of voices and instruments, plus an incredible lead singer was an unbeatable combination."

Just when Nick Crandall thought all his dreams were coming true, he lost his best friend and his rock band fell apart in the blink of an eye. But not everything was lost. His love for Lila, the band’s manager, has increased and solidified with time. A year later, the last single member of Oblivion, is not just ready to go back to the studio and on stage, he’s ready to spend the rest of his life with Lila.

Oblivion’s front man, Simon Kegan lost his ability to sing spectacularly in front of his band mates and fans. What was once his lifeblood became his darkest fear. Even after spending year training his body to sing pitch perfect, he has trouble going back to collaborate with his band, he can’t even fathom facing a crowd. His almost-wife and friends though, won’t let him walk away from their collective dream, can they come back better than before or will they break down trying?

I have suffered, ached, rejoiced, laughed and loved with this band, these characters and the awesome duo that created them from the very start. It’s been an incredible journey and it’s bittersweet having to say goodbye.

I am amazed by Cari Quinn and Tarynn Elliott who have produced this incredible world of charismatic rock stars that has spanned into several (I’m counting 5 series off the top of my head) wonderful series. The ones that have come out I’ve already read and loved, and I long for the very many that I hope are still to come. All of which I’m sure will continue to have incredibly vivid descriptions that make you feel you’re right in the middle of a concert or whatever is taking place with a graceful, almost lyrical flow.
"It had been like a wave cresting then rolling into shore until he was submerged. He couldn’t remember knowing her and not loving her." ~ Nick thinking about Lila

Owned is not a book about one couple. It’s the combined efforts of a band that has gone through many trials and tribulations, but have also found their life partners and have lived incredible joys. They’ve grown and matured, o.k. most of them have matured, and now it’s time for the last puzzle pieces to be set into place.
" That was the Margo who had taken him down like a flash flood in a summer storm. The woman he was fighting like hell to be worthy of... There were only two frames of reference in his life. Before Margo. After Margo."

Simon and Nick, the two that started it all, need to work out their issues and get ready to take the stage. Through it all Jazz, Gray and Deacon will keep cool heads and hand out sage advice from relationships and babies to how to ease back on to the saddle, or rather microphone and stage as the case may be.
"All of us can work apart. That’s what makes us good musicians. It’s what we create together that is the magic of Oblivion. And that’s all six of us."

There’s also a lot of sexy and sweet touching times between Nick and Lila, and Simon and Margo as these two couple are well on their way to solidifying their bond to one another. I loved having the different perspectives from this foursome, and I especially loved how the plot’s dynamics set up stories for other series and also included cameos from Logan King and his wife Izzy (When you’re gone series).
“You try my patience, Crandall.” He leaned down and rested his chin on her shoulder. “Wanna spank me later? I’ll let you.”

Owned is the fifth and last book in the Lost in Oblivion series by the fabulous Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott. Although I’ve read reviews which state that they enjoyed this book without having read the read, I strongly recommend you read the entire series in order or at least start from Destroyed (book #3), Simon and Margo’s story and continue from there. This book is told from various points of view and has a happy ending.

Talk about a walk, or rather read, down memory lane **happy frikkin sigh**

This was one of the most poignant series wrap-up that I have read in quite some time. This is a story of all the band members but Nick and Simon do take center stage. The book was emotionally charged, for the past, present and future. The difficulties and angst that Simon and Nick faced tugged at my heart like no other has in a long time. These guys, along with every other member of Oblivion are truly special. Their journeys were all intense, thought provoking and off the charts sexy. This round out book was no different. Every couple had a say in the plot. It was ridiculously good.

If you haven't read the story of the band Oblivion ... WHAT.ARE.YOU.WAITING.FOR?!?!?!

Oh, my God! This book was PHENOMENAL! With this being the 10th book in the series, I was expecting (hoping) for an ending worthy of the Oblivion gang, and these ladies delivered in spades! Not only did we get to see what everyone's been up to during their year hiatus, but we got quite a few happy surprises along the way. I can honestly say that I never would've guessed the ONE thing that finally got the band back together & put an end to the infighting. I laughed, I cried, and - for once - I wasn't wanting to slap Nick OR Simon. (Shocker, I know)

Congratulations, ladies, on giving us the perfect ending to this amazing ride, LiO style! Now I can't wait to see what y'all come up with for the FiO spin-off series!

Slick's review posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

How do you end a series that has taken readers on a journey of ups and downs, of highs and lows, of friendships found and lost, of dreams coming true then dashed, of relationships building, growing and changing? It is always hard for me when a series ends and when one ends that I have been so invested in it is even harder, but authors Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott did not let me down. They rose to the occasion (despite my worry), they tied up loose ends, they opened new doors, and they absolutely left me one very happy reader. I could not have asked for more for the members of Lost in Oblivion and their significant others or for the readers like me who fell head over heels for these characters and the writers that created them.

With their year break almost over the band members of Lost in Oblivion are due back in the studio and are expected to come with material for a new album, but the break has increased the divide between founding members Nick Crandall and Simon Kagan and although Nick's growing relationship with Lila, the band's label representative and often "babysitter" Nick has a growing uneasiness. The last couple of years and especially the last 18 months have been hard for the band and I'll admit there were many times I was left with a very uneasy feeling about how things would turn out especially after some new characters were introduced. This book does a great job showing just everything they are feeling, thinking and how they are dealing with the stress of coming back together and the fears they all have. Yes, this book was essentially about Nick and Lila figuring out the next step in their relationship, but it was so much more and despite everything that was going on, we never once lost sight of how much they love one another or what they both hope for their future.

There was a lot of interaction between the band members and not all of it was good, but even in the bad times it was so evident how important the music was to each of them. I loved that they all spent time at Lila's family's farm before Christmas and despite a few harsh moments there was still an undeniable connection between them all. Their personal lives have all changed and are continuing to change and to be honest it would have been easy for several of them to walk away from the band, to move on to other projects or to just live the lives they've been living for the past year but that drive, that beat, the music, the friendships kept them moving forward even when it was tough to do so.

I loved every minute of this book even those difficult ones and Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot have Owned me from the start of this series all the way to the end. A fantastic way to wrap up what has been an amazing journey, thank you ladies!

If you've been invested in the Lost in Oblivion series from the beginning, then you'll find that Owned is a fitting conclusion to this rock star romance series. Like Seduced, it's told from the points of view of Simon and Nick, though this time we hear from their partners Margo and Lila as well. Each story in the series (and extra novellas) has focused on one couple's romance complete with happy endings, and now we get the finishing touches. Simon's vocal injury has caused the greatest concern, and the future of the band is at stake. They've taken a year off, and it's time to put their cards on the table and see if they have a future. The guys have been through thick and thin together, and struggled with the highs and lows of fame. Nick and Simon's relationship has been through the worst and their friendship is at a crossroads. This story wraps everything up neatly, with lots of sexy scenes for the couples and emotional ones too as Nick and Lila , then Simon and Margo make the ultimate commitments to each other. It all takes place over a few short weeks, with some fun and emotional scenes at Lila's parents farm (including some hilarious scenes involving the family dogs) over the Christmas holidays, a confrontation with Margo's parents, and the meeting of the band with their management team early in the New Year to decide their fate. I don't think it's easy to read as a standalone and it's not meant to be read that way - there's been too much going on for all the characters to this point that it's recommended to have read the others before this one. But it definitely pulls everything together in a neat and tidy way, and I'm going to miss this group of characters. While Gray started out as my favourite character, Nick and Lila ended up being my favorite couple and Nick surpassed Gray for me in the book boyfriend category - I thought he showed the most growth as a character over the series from his introduction in Seduced to his final scenes in Owned. There are some tense scenes in spots, but we get a wonderful happy ending complete with epilogue that will leave the reader with a big smile. I highly recommend the whole series. 4 stars.

I could never get enough of the Oblivion crew. I watched them grow from a garage band that practiced in a laundrymat that was above their basement living quarters. I watched them bring in new members and skyrocket to viral fame. I watched each member find love and battle inner demons then coming out on top.

Owned was the PERFECT end to what felt like an era to me. I followed this series from the beginning and reaching its end was bittersweet. I'm so sad to see them go.

I won't get anymore of Nick's eternal "diarrhea of the mouth". That guy was always so straight forward and made no apologies for who he was.

Simon's ego was unparalleled. From rockstar to model, he was always the face of Oblivion. Being lead singer gave him the status he always knew he'd deserved.

Jazz was their drummer girl that could rock them out of their socks. Super talented on drums and guitar, super quirky and the heart of the group.

Gray joined with Jazz and was another super talented yet quiet member that helped spring them to fame. He and Jazz were the missing beats to the band's rhythm.

Then there is Deacon. He was the mature and wise member that remained the peacemaker from their start.

Together they were some of the BEST characters I have ever come across. I laughed with them, I cried with them and I fell in love with them.

Owned was an EPIC way of getting the closure I needed to say goodbye. I'm going to miss them, but I'm thankful for the spinoffs this series created and look forward to getting peeks at how their loves and fame continue to grow.

Don’t wait!! You know how you have all of these books on your TBR list and every time you go to pick out a new book to read you wonder what you base your decision off from; well, let me just help you out a little…Pick This Book Now!! Oh my God I don’t think I have laughed so hard and so much at the beginning of this book due to the stuff that Nick had coming out of his mouth…priceless!!! No, this is not a book that is all laughs because there were times during it your heart was just breaking or you were wondering how is this ever going to come together.

The guys have been on hiatus for one year with each pretty much going their own way. There were babies to be made and they were giving Simon time to come back to them. Well, the time is up but are the guys and girls ready to get back to being one happy, although dysfunctional, family again? So much has changed from when the band first started out. We see the same guys who were all about their music, groupies and partying are now husbands (or almost husbands) and fathers. They have come a long way but now that road has come to a fork and who knows if they will be able to take the road that leads to reemergence as a hot rock band again or just a bunch of guys who were good for a bit but once things got tough they couldn’t hold what they had together.

It kept your attention because there was so much happening in this book for Nick/Lila and Simon/Margo. Were longtime friends Nick and Simon ever going to find their way back to being at the very least civil with each other? This was an excellent rock romance that has me hoping that the authors have more in store for the boys from Oblivion since there were some doors that were left open. I would love to see some more on these guys especially when these books were so well written; always fresh, funny, and pulled at your heart.

This is the last book in the Lost in Oblivion Series--it's laugh out loud funny at times and very angsty at others. The series has followed the sexy members of the band Oblivion from struggling obscurity to fame to tragedy. Now it's time for Simon, the lead singer, to cowboy up and re-join his band. He's not much of a cowboy, so he spends a lot of time dreading and whining about what he needs to do. Nick, the lead guitarist, wants his band back on track, but his life is coming together otherwise, with Lila, the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with. Simon and Nick are working toward joining their friends and band members into adulthood.

If you haven't read this series, you'll want to start at the beginning. If you have read it and will be missing the Oblivion folks, don't worry, they'll be making appearances in upcoming books in other series.

Awesome Wrap-Up...

...Yes, there are 2 more books, but I think this one pretty much wraps up the main storylines and issues...

Reading this series has been a journey. From Seduced to Owned, we see the evolution of Oblivion... from Deacon, Simon and Nick sharing the basement apartment under the Fluff n Fold, to Jazz and Gray joining the band, to their initial success at Ripper Records, to their implosion.

Not only do we see the ins and outs of the band, but we see into everyone's personal lives...their backgrounds and histories, their fears and issues, their lives, their individual growth.

If you've read the other books up to this point, you probably have questions:. What happens to Simon and Nick's relationship? Will their friendship be mended? What happens with the couples? Do Simon and Margo, and Nick and Lila ever get married? Do they get over their misgivings about starting families? What happens with the band? Does Simon ever get the courage to sing again or is this it for Oblivion?

I'd love to answer those questions for you, but then I'd be spoiling the whole book. So, read it for yourself...I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Review:
This is the fifth and final book in the Lost In Oblivion series. Unfortunately, I have not read the other books in this series. Although reading the book by itself is okay, I strongly recommend reading the other books before starting this one. Owned is a well written romance with drama and internal band complications. The plot of this story is about guitarist, Nick Crandall and the band manager Lila. Their growing relationship and Nick’s desire to make the relationship more permanent. It is also about the relationship between Nick and his band mate and former best friend, Simon. (I am thinking that this has something to do with one of the earlier books in the series.) It is also about the other members of the band and their continued relationships with their significant others. There is fun, sweet, hot chemistry between Nick and Lila. For all his rudeness, Nick is really a very likable guy. This book is pretty long, but it moves along quickly keeping you involved in the story. Good HEA ending, with a big surprise. Nick, Lila, and Simon all have strong character development in this final book. As a personal note, I love the way Nick has a constant conversation with himself. Yeah, I really like Nick.

I'm aware that I'm reading the last book from the Lost In Oblivion series, but that doesn't mean that the book didn't made perfect sense. Lucky me the author made it easy for the rest of us to understand what was going with the characters in the previous books.
The book takes us back in the beginning through the eyes of Simon and Nick. I also liked that story was told from different perspectives, Margo and Lila too, not just the two rockstars. The action takes place near Christmas , when the members of the band are spending the holidays together and they try to re-unite the band. However, each member struggle with their own fears. Simon struggles with the fear that he is not the same person anymore and he fears the most that he won't be able to sing on stage.Nick on the other hand is swept off his feet , but he is afraid to commit to Lila. Lila's fears of not finding happiness after a failed marriage. And if that is not enough of a struggle, Lila tries her best to convince the boys to put their weapons away and reunite the band.
Needless to say, I enjoyed reading Owned , I enjoyed the many hilarious scenes and the humorous tone of the story. The authors did a great job in keeping the reader focused on the characters and plot.

Nick and Simon are still at it! Simon is still dealing with his demons and singing (NOT!) and is hiding from facing whether his voice will work or not. Nick is ready to punch his head off for putting the band on hiatus for a year. As far as he is concerned, Simon has betrayed their friendship.

This is the final book in the series and we are getting a two-fer. This is a Christmas story that will keep you in stitches and it is also the story as to what happened to this very promising band of musicians.

Lila is the Dragon Lady to the hilt! Falling in love with Nick requires someone with her nerves of steel. Bringing Nick home for the holidays is a brave move on her part. Her daddy will literally peel his skin off if Nick hurts his little Lila. You can imagine what Nick may be feeling as he prepares to ask for Lila's hand in marriage while hoping Lila's dad does not go for his shotgun.

Sensitive story, full of amusing moments, friendship, and reconciliation. Not to be missed!

The final book in a series is always bittersweet. I’m always anxious to find out how the story ends yet don’t want to say good-bye to the characters I’ve grown to love. This was absolutely the case with OWNED. Reading it was both wonderful and heart wrenching.

Over the course of the eleven books and novellas that make up the Lost in Oblivion series, the authors have taken this young, unruly group from obscurity to fame, hitting every twist & turn and high & low in between. Watching them grow up has been a wild ride— for them and for me. The final book wrapped everything up in a neat bow, giving everyone their HEA, but not before wringing every bit of emotion out of me. One book has never made me laugh so much or cry as many happy, sentimental tears. It was everything rolled into one magical package, and I loved it.

While OWNED could be read as a standalone, I strongly recommend starting at the very beginning. LiO is an incredible series you shouldn't pass up.

I love, love, love Oblivion and this entire series. Nick Crandall has always been one of my favorite band members and I was honestly a little sad I didn't hear more of his POV in this book. There are multiple point of views between Nick, Lila, Simon, and Margo. You get to see what Simon and Margo have been going through since the band went on hiatus. With that said, since book one, I kept waiting and waiting on Nick's story. It took a long time and many books in between to get here. Still, I was very pleased with how everything ended. I knew Cari and Taryn would not disappoint me. As usual, Lila and Nick have great chemistry...and a little bit of drama. Nick and Simon have their drama too. It wouldn't be Oblivion without some band drama. Oblivion is a band I want on the radio. I want to actually hear their songs...know what their music sounds like. Great end to the Oblivion series. Easy 5 stars. I loved it!

Never before did you have to read the others in the series before you read the book you were reading. Don't get me me wrong this is still an amazing book from my favorite writing duo, but it was never more obvious to me that I missed a book in the series until I skipped and read this one. These girls still write great characters and hot sex, like I said AMAZING. I never much cared for Nick in the previous books that I read, and in this book he was truly likable. I missed something important LOL.

I really cannot believe it is over! The whole series has been amazing. The growth and learning the characters have experienced!

Owned managed to pull the reader further into the lives of all the band members. A roller coaster of emotions; one minute you are laughing and the next...yup! crying your eyes out.

Although the authors managed to tie up the story and the lives of the characters for a HEA...there is still room for more. Can't wait for my next adventure through Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott.

This is the final book. *weeps* Well, I am happy to see the band all in love, but it is sad because they aren't in a totally happy place. The band took a year off. Away from each other. Not totally, but they weren't together as a band to create music.

Simon is still modeling while working with a voice coach. He's wanting more with Margo. Like marriage kind of commitment, but she isn't ready for that. Then you have Margo, who I think is miserable with the current state of her career, but how do you push the man you love who is terrified of losing his voice again?

Nick has moved in with Lila and they are condomless. Go Nick's Dick! But he is not so totally callous. He's in love and ready to make the final jump into marriage, but Lila is recently divorced so he's trying not to push her. She also wants children, so he is coming to terms with having one boy child. He is very specific, which makes all women laugh. Everything he does, he does because of his total love with Lila, which is where I totally adore him.  Nick is also giving guitar lessons and writing songs. His soul for music is really battered and bruised.
They were in love. No question there. He didn’t know when exactly he’d fallen in love with her. Looking back, it had been like a wave cresting then rolling into shore until he was submerged. He couldn’t remember knowing her and not loving her. Somehow the times since had obliterated any of the argumentative times that had come before. Turned them into a kind of verbal foreplay, rather than oh, say, the sparring between a post-adolescent male and a gorgeous, intelligent, savvy woman he’d truly never believed he had any kind of chance with, in this lifetime or any other.

Quinn, Cari; Elliott, Taryn (2016-05-23). Owned (Rockstar Romance) (Lost in Oblivion Book 5) (Kindle Locations 76-80). Rainbow Rage Publishing. Kindle Edition.

~Nick Crandall's mind

You have Jaz and Gray still blissfully happy. You don't get into their minds for this story, but they do everything to help support their bandmates. One kid and one kid on the way, these two are fabulous. I love how calm and rational Gray has become. He has to watch is addiction and is always on guard to keep things right for his family.

Deacon and Harper don't have a huge roll. Deacon is still the peacemaker, while Harper still cooks up the best food. They have one kid now, and I see more, but not right now.

Margo, Gray and Deacon often work on other projects together. So while the band isn't creating, touring or being a band, the bandmates have learned to adapt. Now that time is coming to an end and they have to come together to produce a new album and start a tour.

Nick and Simon are still walking a fine line. They aren't exactly the same best friends they once were. Simon is the catalyst for most of the problems with his fear of singing himself to death. Nick wants to help, wants to be the friend he is, but Simon continually pushes him away. There are trips to Lila's family orchard that put into perspective a lot of things, while also pushing other thoughts of doubt into everyone's mind. At times they fight, at times they play. It's the hope that Oblivion will be back that kept me reading on.

Emotions run high which is why I ended up loving this story. Simon and Margo to Nick and Lila. The struggle to have what your heart desires, while also loving the person enough not to pressure. Anger was quick and volatile with fist flying. There are surprises, some interesting sexual situations and laughs. This ending story, drew me in on all emotional levels and left me hanging to the very end on what would ultimately happen. You won't be disappointed if you have read the entire series. This story wraps all the lose strings up and gives you and ending. Happy or sad, you decide.

Owned wraps up and ends the Lost In Oblivion series and every time I read it I still hold my breath to the very end. This volatile group of musicians all so talented in their own right, are better together but getting back together after a vocal cord injury sidelines their lead singer, two failed comebacks, and infighting within the group gave this series a lot of ups and downs had I not already had a reader realationship with these authors I'm not sure I would have stuck with this series but I knew that in the end Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott would make every tear, every hair raising moment, every bit of my frustrations with some members alright and they did. This book wasn't easy there was still a lot of ups and downs but in the end when it really mattered, they found the love and joy of making music together again which is how it all began.

Good finale, but not the last of Oblivion

I put off reading this book because I didn't want Oblivion's story to end. I loved the drama-filled rockstars and I wasn't ready for it to be over just yet. however, I couldn't put it off any longer. And what a whirlwind of a finale it was! The ups and downs, the fights and bickering. It was all there, along with the surprises of life, and BOY! were there some surprises! Just, wow...I wouldn't have ever guessed on some. But I am glad I read it. I am looking forward to hopefully catch some glimpses of their lives in continuation through the next few series and spinoffs.
Thank you to the authors for making this journey with Oblivion such a crazy and wild ride.

WHAT. AN. ENDING! Oh my, the angst was palpable. I so wanted to bang Simon and Nick's heads together and force them to talk to each other but of course they wouldn't. Their devotion to their partners was humbling and kept the book steady. I loved the twist with Lila and Nick, especially seeing how far Nick has come since book one. I'm sad this series is ending but I'm so glad it ended on such a wonderful note.

Book10

Book 10. All of those cliffhangers. I wondered why I quit reading the books after book 5. Must have been that these are novellas and only 1.5 hours each.

Biggest problem with the book. The cover is not how the characters portrayed them. Long hair. Scruffy beard. T-shirts and jeans..

Can’t get enough of this series.

This really is a rocker of a series and I can’t get enough of this band. Lila as the manager just hogs every scene she is in and nick is growing up, Awh. Simon needs a kick up the kilt as we say here but yes he’s got a strong woman able to pull him back. So well written and I just love the series.

Owned

I'd say Owned is a good title for the whole series. Yep, I've read them all, and enjoyed each and every one. Gonna miss these fictional rockstars! But like any good book, anytime you miss your friends...you just open the pages.

Wonderful...

I love these two authors. Not only do they write complicated, sex hot stories, but they add humor to the scenario and make it even more fun. I hate when the story ends. I am going to follow them.

It’s

A beautiful and wonderful story and a fitting conclusion for now. I hope there’s more. We already have Lexi and Dylan. I would like to see more of Oblivion and there children. I’m sure it’s wonderful. The whole series is amazing. It’s well worth it.
