The complete fishkeeper: Everything aquarium fishes need to stay happy, healthy, and alive

Rate this book
Beautiful color photographs and sketches as well as handsome black-and-white drawings illustrate this inspiring book on setting up an aquarium. Levine includes practical and economical suggestions in his amusing, readable text. His descriptions of fresh- and salt-water tank fish feature both common and scientific names along with clear photographs that enable the beginner to search out suitable fish. Further distinguishing his book from others on the subject are Levine's emphasis on creating a whole-tank environment, the excellent information on plants in aquaria, and a chapter called "Ten Tanks That Work," in which the author recommends interesting, compatible combinations of fish for varying tank sizes. Recommended, especially for public library collections.
