I heard Mr. Regas speak recently at an astronomy festival held at Bryce Canyon National Park in southern Utah. His talk was excellent; he spoke clearly and provided basic astronomical facts without dumbing down the information; in other words, it was excellent to learn things, as one interested in but largely ignorant of astronomy. This book is written in a similar vein. It's very readable, full of a variety of interesting factoids that are explained simply but are not presented in a childish manner. It's organized well and easy to follow.

I love this book and wish it didn't end. So many facts covering all over everything space. Some facts more mind-blowing than others and some are comical and others leave you thinking; all sorts in one book. This is a book to go buy and keep around to dish out fun facts to friends, family, strangers and acquaintances (and including my poor coworkers who had to tolerate me while I read it and felt the need to share everything....sorry, not sorry).

Compared to the other "interesting" fact books I've read lately this one comes out way better.
Nicely written and organised it also contains a lot of facts that I did not know despite being interested in the topic.

Least of all that we have a sample of the sun!
