The Perceiver Programme is up and running in England, and while Michael, Pauline, and Alex are finally getting used to their new-found powers of mind control, and have even begun experimenting with telekinesis (something Michael recently realized he is capable of), there have been several odd, mystery-drug-related deaths among the non-perceiver population. When Michael and Detective Patterson are called in to investigate, a strange turn points them in the direction of Sarah, Alex's new mysterious perceiver girlfriend. But how is Sarah involved, and what does this all have to do with the vials of clear liquid the crazy people were injecting into their arms? Can Michael, Pauline, and Alex get to the bottom of this mess before Sarah becomes nothing more than a guinea pig for the evil Doctor Lucas and his illegal Russian perceiver experiments?
Once again, Jane Killick does not disappoint with her telepathic teen drama. Right from the get-go I was sucked back into the world of Michael, Pauline, and Alex at Galen House. It felt a bit like coming home to a bunch of old friends (friends with crazy mind powers and telekinesis, but friends, nonetheless!).
Mind Evolution is steeped in drama, with so many twists and turns in the plot that I couldn't guess from one page to the next what was about to happen next! An excellent and fast-paced read, I would highly recommend this book (and its predecessors!) to anyone who is into YA, Sci-Fi, Drama, and pretty much anything with a little bit of mystery in it and a whole lot of action!
