Michael Derby is obsessed with Magda Konetsky. She is in her early 40s, from the Czech Republic; both she and Michael have had failed first marriages. Michael is submissive and shy, Magda is reluctant to open her heart to a man, as her husband had beat her.
Both have chosen loneliness. A flood brings them together, Michael reprising his submission to his ex-wife, Magda accepting his service while she recovers from a cold.
Michael helps with flood recovery and finds himself back at Magda’s flat. He asks if there is anything he can do for her and winds up washing and ironing her clothes and cleaning her bathroom. The work reminds him of his relationship with his ex-wife.
At a pre-Christmas party, Magda meets Suzanne Duggan, Michael’s ex-wife. She reveals to Magda how she controlled him.
During a chance encounter in the elevator, Magda orders Michael to be at her place the following evening to clean. The visits become twice-weekly, with Michael’s obsession ruling him and Magda assuring a dominant role. He buys her articles of clothing and takes things “too far.” Magda, swept up in the fantasy, gives to Michael what he had lost in the dissolution of his marriage.
He fetishizes everything about Magda and falls, hard, in love with her. She warns him that she will hurt him. Magda confides only in Suzanne, Michael’s ex-wife.
This book describes Michael’s white-hot passion for Magda, who steals his heart, his soul, his entire existence. But as Magda takes from Michael, he hastens to give his entire existence away to her.

Sophistication and depravity
What a ride! Molly came up with another winner. I wonder if she will ever release something less than extraordinary. This is the perfect read for needy males dealing with submissive pulsions. But beware, it may aggravate your addiction instead of quenching it.
I love how Magda treats her slave, with haughtiness and contempt, which slowly intensify as the story progresses. The dialogue is the strength of the author, through it, the characters take form easily in our mind. I cheered for Michael, I suffered with him, I felt the anxiety of anticipating the worse, I felt his humiliation and his need for debasement and degradation.
I didn't want it to end, and when it ended I wanted it to have a sequel.

Michael's station was consistently deteriorating, reaching new levels of slavery and depravity, so when Suzanne asked Magda to borrow him for a week I was hoping she would agree. It would have made a solid premise for a sequel, to be the spectator of Suzanne's vengeance instead of the happy ending.

Beautiful
I think the only thing wrong with a Molly Sands story is the lack of chapters. There is a lot of intensity and sadomasochism in this story. But Magda does change as does Michael. There are unexpected events and in the end compassion.

Advance: AFemdom Romance

A delightful FemDom romance, in the style "be careful what you wish for, it may come true". The characters are believable, charming, and masterfully written. I normally don't enjoy some of the practices depicted in the book, but they were so well described that I ended up liking everything. Definitely a recommend if you are into consensual FemDom stories. The only minor issue I found is that at the beginning we get a bit of an infodump on the two main characters' pasts; still, the book for me is a solid 5/5.

Magda by Molly Sands: This is a great book about female dominance. The perspective is mine exactly. FLR are the only way to live. I do not read any BDSM when the male is dominant. It is too much like real life in the world where we live. I find it offensive, but the reverse makes me feel comforted and safe. When I read Molly Sands I fall in love and find joy and wonder in myself. Magda has put Michael where he belongs with a command, ‘Tomorrow night at six would suit me best. I’ll expect you then, shall I, Mr. Derby?’ He looked at her in amazement, but she just smiled at him. He opened his mouth to speak but made no sound. ‘Good, then,’ she said as the elevator doors opened at her floor. ‘Till tomorrow at six, and don’t be late’. Boom and he immediately knows his place before the superior woman. I loved this book and will read all of Ms. Sands's books.

Molly Sands has crafted a intoxicating dive into a burgeoning Female Led Relationship ending with the two main protagonists falling in love. It is a rarity in the Femdom genre to find what amounts to a well written love story but you will find it here.

This is a very well conceived and written short novel, with extensive character development and backstory. It doesn’t explain why someone would be drawn to BDSM, but it does show how two good, well-intentioned people, coming from different backgrounds, could navigate such a relationship. It’s a tender and beautiful story of abjection and love. Spoiler alert:
The relationship begins with Michael pitching in after an emergency, doing housework and chores for Magda. The backstory of his failed marriage and his desire to be treated disdainfully by the woman he adores shows us why this is an emotionally loaded circumstance for Michael. Then Magda learns some of this backstory, so we anticipate the turn in Magda and Michael’s relationship before he knows it is coming. This is very deftly handled.
Halfway through the book, Magda and Michael, who have been playing at master and servant, verbally formalize their relationship, affirming that Michael will serve Magda slavishly, and she will return his devotion with contempt, and give him regular beatings. At this point, story becomes a Masochean fantasy of humiliation.
In the last third, Magda gradually realizes that in spite of her pledge of contempt, she has tender feelings toward Michael.

THIS IS ASS!!!
Magda is an irresponsible and annoying "domme", she dosent care about the safety of her sub in any way, shape or form, wich crushes me because Michael is such a sweet and good sub.
There were so many instances in wich Michael was begging Magda to not force him to do something and she didnt even think to make sure if that was his hard limits, she just kept on going, and then the author spends time and time again repeating themselves that "michael didnt like it but it made him h🥵rny so he liked it" THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS!!!
And then she just went on trying to strip him of all identity and humanity for the sake of her relationship issues... like, I get that you dont want a serious relationship and that you had a hard time with it in the past but that's not excuse to dehumanize a person who's trusting you to the point of submitting to you!
