Book of Harmony: Spirit and Service in the Lutheran Confessions

Rate this book
Bestselling author Glenys Nellist tells a Christmas tale of generosity and kindness. It was going to be the best Christmas ever because Little Mole had found the perfect gift for the biggest, most beautiful mushroom he had ever seen. But on his way home, Little Mole encounters other woodland friends in need. Though it pains him to do so, Little Mole shares pieces of his mushroom with each friend he meets until there's not much left. Disappointed and anxious about what this means for Christmas, Little Mole wraps what's left of the mushroom. He fears Christmas is ruined, but ultimately, Little Mole discovers that his gift was bigger than he ever imagined. Little Mole's Christmas Gift is a companion to Nellist's spring-themed picture book, Little Mole Finds Hope .

A good companion to the Book of Concord. Helpful and very accessible, gives the BoC historical context from an unashamedly Lutheran perspective.

Great introduction to the Book of Concord for those curious about the Lutheran confessional documents. Also a great book to read for a review before your Endorsement and Approval interviews for Candidacy as it ties everything to Theology of the Cross.

This serves as a helpful, accessible summary of the core of the Lutheran faith. It should be assigned in seminary as well as used in congregations. Well done!

Accessible and Concise

Dr. Lohrmann’s helpful exposition is written with thoughtfulness, and conveys the sort of grace you’d like to hear from a Lutheran scholar-pastor.
