Good advice towards planning a practical wedding. Kind of runs out of steam near the end but was definitely worth reading as someone who knows nothing about planning a wedding. The author is also very considerate of planning for different genders, sexual orientations, and regilious traditions.

This is one of those things where I put the money down not because I am in the target market or because I need the information it offers, but more as a "Yes, I approve of your project and wish it to exist in the world" investment.

That said, I enjoyed this a lot. I think my favourite line:
Part of me is tempted to say you shouldn't bother with traditional wedding planning books at all. They can make you crazy. They can convince you that chargers are important, and choosing one is a monumental task. I strongly suspect that at this moment, you don't know what a charger is or how it relates to weddings. This is good. This is as it should be.
Let's get this out of the way: a charger is a plate that you put underneath your plate. It sits there, unused, until they take it away. No, I am not kidding.

Reading this book before planning our wedding was the best decision I made. It helped me stay calm and feel prepared throughout the process.
