★★★★! Cleat Chasers (stand-alone) book 1 of 2. Sexy & fun romance about baseball star’s relentless pursuit of reclusive girl!

“Every inch of my dick begged me to fuck her, but every cell in my brain pleaded with me to make the right move. For the first time in my life, my brain was trumping my cock.”

Books in Cleat Chaser duet are stand-alones, but most enjoyed if read in order:
Book 1: Cleat Chaser
Book 2: Cleat Catcher

Cleat Chasers (stand-alone book 1) is a fast faced, sexy and entertaining tale of a reclusive girl who meets baseball star.

Ambitious editor Kyrie Kent has sworn off men, more to unfold with story, but when her best friend tries to pair her up Major League pitcher, Easton Holliday she cannot help but to be attracted, flattered and conflicted by his attempts at seduction.

Easton is determined to have her and much of story is him jumping through hoops to catch Kyrie’s attention… and keeping it. What speak in his favor are his many talents in and out of the bedroom. Will it be enough?

Seven words to describe Easton Holliday: Charismatic, attentive, determined, easy-going, immature, possessive and sincere.

Seven words to describe Kyrie Kent: Hard-headed, reclusive, broken, private, unapproachable, conflicted and indecisive.

Cleat Chasers told from dual POVs was a feel-good read; equal parts funny, sexy & romantic with a pinch of angst. As wonderful as Easton is my one wish was for him to be less insta-feel.

Entertaining! Sexy! You can tell authors had a blast writing it & their writing is effortless!

“...it’s time for you to suck it up, buttercup. Nothing wrong with being a cleat chaser like me.”

'Cleat Chaser' certainly is that perfect book to read between two heavy emotional reads. Why? Because is fun, because is light, because it doesn’t have unnecessary angst and drama. Fast-paced and enjoyable, this one was a great blend of steam, humor and romance and kept me entertained until the end.

“That cute little giggle of yours is going to get you fucked.”
“Promise?”

description

Kyrie Kent is a magazine editor. She doesn’t look to get involved in a relationship anytime soon. Why? Because her world crashed down two years ago when she found out her fiancée, a baseball player cheated on her. Needless to so she’s not interested in any kind of relationship with the opposite sex. After everything that happened, Kyrie has serious trust issues, hating baseball and everything related with it, including baseball players. When she meets Easton Holliday, the pitcher for the Ravens can’t deny the strong attraction she feels towards him, but she can’t forget what Easton does for a living.

“I leaned back, away from danger, away from the certain pain that getting involved with a man like Easton would bring.”

From the moment Easton laid his eyes on Kyrie he knew he has to have her. In his bed. Immediately. And maybe out of bed as well. He knows he has to make her his and he will do anything to accomplish that. Knowing very well Kyrie is different from any other woman he met, Easton is very persistent and he’s determined not to give up on our heroine no matter what she says. While Kyrie slowly realizes Easton might be different than her ex she first has to deal with her past in order to start something meaningful with the sexy blue-eyed pitcher.

“Though it was foolish, and I was certain I would regret it, I took his hand.”

If you are looking for an enjoyable erotic sports romance look no further. These two authors delivered a terrific read with two endearing characters, a gripping story line and fantastic supporting characters. Now, I must admit I don’t know anything about baseball, but I have to say reading about it wasn’t as boring as I expected.

Both Easton and Kyrie were likeable characters and both of them were portrayed pretty well. I liked the fact Easton was different from the usual cocky guy in sports romance novels. It was a nice change. He’s not a manwhore, he’s not a cocky bastard. He’s sweet, attentive and understanding and I really liked him.

Easton and Kyrie were pretty great together. I liked them, but I would have wanted their relationship to be a little more developed, because IMO their romance was a little rushed. However, I loved the chemistry between them. They were really hot together and I enjoyed their interactions. Their dialogue was fun and quite entertaining and the sex scenes between them hot as hell.

One of my favorite aspect of this story was the supporting character. All of them were fun and engaging and I wouldn’t mind reading their own stories. My favorite supporting character was without a doubt Kasey, Easton’s sister. OMG…this ‘lady’ was the sh*t. I loved her! I LOLed at everything she said or did. She was so hilarious and engaging and so sassy and ballsy. In other words, my kind of female character in a witty, sexy romance.

Overall, a fantastic, enjoyable read!

4 'Cleat Chaser' Stars!
CC

Well, I wanted to know why practically everyone was raving so much about this book so I was pretty excited to start it! I haven't read anything by Celia Aaron or Sloane Howell but I can say this is definitely a good read when you need a quick fix!

Cleat Chaser is a stand-alone novel written by said authors and it tells the story of Easton Holliday (a baseball player and womanizer who is in the gold period of his career and now is very much distracted by the appearance of the heroine) and Kyrie Kent (a shy editor who hates players but cannot stop herself from wanting more of the hot Easton Holliday).

Easton was magnetic, his intensity making it impossible for me to look anywhere else.

This is a safe novel if what you want is a light, funny and sexy read. There isn't too much drama (just Kyrie's ex being an ass and a little bit of Easton's past with women), there is lots of funny situations (especially with Nikki -Kyrie's BFF-, Braden -her boyfriend and Easton's BFF- and Kasey -Easton's very-lesbian sister- haha), and there is definitely a lot of smut and sexy moments.

“You are smoking. Not gonna lie. I might even go gay for you tonight, and you know how much I’m not into pussy. It’s just that good.”

We could hear Kasey on the other side of the door. “You Subby McSubberson, running your tits off when I got company! I ought to lash your pussy Indiana Jones style!”

So utterly funny! lol And let's talk about the dirty.. Daaaaaaaamn, these two are hot! Lots of chemistry in the sex department, for sure! Easton is a very talented man and a smokin' dirty talker ;) I loved the sexy times and also the sweet moments. There is time for everything in this book and you totally enjoy the smut.

“Oh, god, I’m close.” My pussy tightened around him, my walls trying to hold him prisoner.
“That’s right. Come on my dick.”
His command sent me to a whole new level of hot. “Please—”
“Come. On. My. Dick.” He emphasized each word with increasingly harder thrusts.

“That cute little giggle of yours is going to get you fucked.”
“Promise?”

As you can see, Cleat Chaser does not disappoint on that area! Maybe, the only thing that I did not enjoy as much was the writing itself, as a whole. I don't know, it was a little bit off for me. It quite different from other stuff that I read: more raw, direct. Maybe a little bit too much, in my opinion. However, together with everything else, this was a good reading experience!

“Shh, do you want people to think you’re some sort of cleat chaser?” He smirked.
I pulled his head down to me and brushed my lips against his. “In this case, they’d be right.”

Therefore, my rating for Cleat Chaser is 4 STARS because it's always enjoyable to have a light, funny and smutty book, right? Easton and Kyrie had good chemistry, the secondary characters are so funny and it was absolutely a good read for me (besides that aspect I mentioned about the writing). So, I recommend this, especially if you are between reads and you want something easygoing :)

Genre: Erotic Romance
Type: Standalone
POV: First Person - Dual
Rating:

Kyrie Kent preferred to read her book than watching a baseball game even when she was right there in the stadium. She had no interest in the game, or the player until she caught the eyes of a player.

Easton Holliday was the pitcher for the Ravens. Seeing Kyrie behind the net spurred something in him and made him wanted to keep her. However, the more he wanted her, the more she stayed away. He would use any resources he had to make sure she saw what he’s worth.

I never ever watched baseball and I know nothing about it (to my defend, baseball is not a “thing” in my country) but the promise of men in tight pants and sexy times was too hard for me to resist. Even though the sports aspect did nothing for me, I still certainly enjoyed this sexy read.

Easton wasn’t your typical cocky athlete. He was very lovable with his “innocence” and vulnerabilities. He was also opened to see things from different perspective.

I leaned back, away from danger, away from the certain pain that getting involved with a man like Easton would bring.

After being burned in the past, Kyrie tried hard to protect her heart from ever feeling the pain again. I’m glad she was still willing to give it a chance even when she was being too guarded and I wanted to slap her in the face.

Kasey sniffed. “Why do your fingers smell like tasty pussy?”

One of my favorite things about this book was actually the supporting characters. The people in their lives were hilariously irreverent and really added a special touch to the book. My favorite was definitely his sister.

Cleat Chaser is a light sports themed erotic romance story with sexiness and a bunch of funny, lovable characters that will keep you entertain until the very last page.

Kyrie Kent is a magazine editor with career aspirations. While she sees a clear goal in her career projectory, her love life is non-existent due to catching her ex-fiancé in bed with another woman. Since then, she has sworn off baseball players and is protective of her heart. Even though Kyrie has no interest in the sport, she accompanies her best friend to a game where she first lays eyes on a certain pitcher.

“It’s obvious you and Easton have an obvious chemistry and it would be a good idea for you to let him put his dick in you. Maybe play just the tip of you’re feeling skittish.”

Easton Holliday is a pitcher for the Ravens and is quite talented on the mound. (That’s the pitcher’s mound for you ladies who have your mind in the gutter like me! haha) During a game, he spots Kyrie behind the net but since she leaves the game in a hurry, Easton resorts to his best friend’s help in securing a double date and then it’s on. Easton is about to test Kyrie’s limits.

“When he kissed the shell of my ear, any well-reasoned thoughts or rules I may have had vanished. My stomach tightened and my pussy tingled. I was wet and utterly without panties.”

Easton is immediately taken with Kyrie and doesn’t hesitate in his pursuit. However, Kyrie associates all baseball players as “players,” and while she is very attracted to Easton, she battles with her mind and heart thereby creating a push-pull situation with Easton. Despite Kyrie’s reluctance, their chemistry is hot and Easton definitely has that throw-down appeal in the bedroom! Compared to other women in Easton’s past, he knows Kyrie is the one and she sees a side of him that is truly endearing, but Kyrie must let go of her past before she can have a future with Easton.

“I love you, Kyrie. You have all of me. My entire heart. It’s yours.”

Augmenting the romance plot of Kyrie and Easton, is a group of secondary characters that I absolutely loved due to their humor and camaraderie. I especially liked Kasey, Easton’s sister, and the phrases that she uttered actually had me laughing out loud! Gotta give a shout out to Nikki and all her funny quips. Plus, the bro-talk between Easton and Braden was hilarious. This comic relief was welcome at all times and really kept me from not throttling Kyrie a few times when she balking at the idea of taking a chance on Easton.

Since this is a collaborative book between Celia Aaron and Sloane Howell, I must say the writing styles are flawless and the flow is cohesive. The dialogue is witty and engaging and I felt like part of the gang immediately. Cleat Chaser is a fun, sexy, romantic and entertaining read that will make you root for Easton and Kyrie.

IT'S FINALLY HERE!!

The story I've been waiting to read by Sloane Howell and that other author. This book, is such a conundrum for me, personally. Don't get me wrong, Easton's chapters are mechanically perfect with just the right balance of humor and heat with the flowing prose, hence, the 5 star rating.

That being said, the Kyrie chapters aren't what I would call, umm, unreadable per se. I don't want to be too hard on the other author's attempts, because, well, let's face it, she was trying to follow perfection. She did the best she could in the shadows of greatness and I applaud her efforts which in the aforementioned shadow of Sloane Howell is akin to a toddler with crayons trying to write against Shakespeare. Overall though, I say it's a worthy purchase just for Easton's chapters alone, so this one is a go!

(PS Thanks for reading. Celia and I really enjoyed writing this book for you and look forward to writing even more for you in the future!)

This was a hot, erotic sports romance that centered on Easton and Kyrie’s relationship. Easton was stunned to find a woman who didn’t yield to him and his charming ways. The last thing she wanted was to date a guy whose life revolved around sports. Or so she thought! Easton was so sweet and charming, so confident, sexy and understanding. Once these two got together it was hot!!

The romance was fabulous! I loved the build up between Easton and Kyrie! They had such a strong chemistry. There were issues, there was lust, there was tension, a little angst thrown in to the pot, and one wickedly sweet love story. Both of them were fantastic characters. Both had great back stories, and for me, the best part was seeing all of their layers peeled back as we made our way through the book.

In addition, the cast of secondary characters was exceptional. Kasey, Easton’s sister, definitely steals the show in this book!! An entire book could be written on her. She was sassy, hilarious, controlling, tough and ballsy. She had an opinion on everything and she was overprotective. I loved watching her hold her head high and pull out that persona.

This book was such an easy, enjoyable read. I just loved the overall feel of it. Plus, the author’s writing was sexy as hell! Cleat Chaser was a wicked, sensual thrill from the very first page to the last. Full of steam, love, exploration and graphic sex…my idea of the perfect book!! :)

This book. How do I put this? Hmmm. Half of it is ten stars, the other half is zero stars. So, I've settled on five stars as a happy medium. The sections with the heading "Kyrie" were blow-me-away fabulous, but I digress, because it would be self-serving of me to continue praising my own chapters. Instead, I will discuss the zero-rating chapters. Sloane's chapters. They are, in a word, grotesque. Like a monkey sitting at a typewriter, one hand picking its nose, the other stabbing the boogers on the letter keys. It's not the worst thing I've ever read, it's just that the unbelievable artistry in the Kyrie sections is so transcendent that it is only natural the adjacent sections seem base at best, filthy at worst. All the same, the writing evens out to a five, despite Sloane's best efforts at getting negative stars.

(PS Thanks for reading. Sloane and I really enjoyed writing this book for you and look forward to writing even more for you in the future! xoxo)

Smutty, smut, smut...

***3.5 Stars***

I'm standing on a see-saw, balancing in the middle. On one side - I laughed myself silly, blushed like crazy and had a few Aw Shucks moments. On the other side - This guy gets really cranky, bordering on psycho chicken and some of the swearing was OTT and unnecessary.

Hmmmm...I'm back in ratings hell.

I really enjoyed Cleat Chaser, but there were times where I was think it was all a little too much.

Now, swearing I don't really have an issue with, unless it's used as part of everyday conversation. I just don't get that. If you feel strongly and swear...sure.

Temper tantrums and cranky pants fights, I'm not a huge fan of either. Who's to say he doesn't turn his cranky pants on his woman?

My husband played baseball and my son now plays baseball, and neither of them would pitch to hit a player on purpose. To me that is bad sportsmanship and it did make me cringe.

Saying that...It's a short erotic tale, so I shouldn't be taking it so seriously. I laughed my head off at the hero, Easton's, lesbian sister, Kasey. She by far was the funniest person in the whole story. She was so rude, crude and socially unacceptable, but you just couldn't help but love her. Easton does some very romantic gestures that nearly made me forget his cranky pants tantrums. Kyrie, the heroine, was a little silly, but mostly she was an intelligent woman. When Easton and Kyrie come together they are HOT!! I definitely got my smutty quota filled.

Cleat Chaser was an interesting read that I managed to finish in one sitting. I paid less than $1.00, had some good belly laughs, blushed a wee bit and swooned at the romantic gestures.

"4 Pitching Muse stars"

"Ever since I first saw you-you're all I think about when I'm not with you."

This book was FUUUUUNNYYYYY and HOOOOOOOOOT as HELL!!!
description
I really enjoyed this book! All the characters were batshit CRAZY and FUNNY!The things that were coming from their mouths would make you blush or laugh hysterically...It was an easy reading, fast paced with a bit of a drama in the end.

"God you're so tight and wet."
"Because you won't quit staring at me with that
goddamn beautiful face,you prick."

Easton was Delicious and HOT and Sweet and Funny and I Loved him so much!He wanted Kyrie from the first time he saw her and wanted to meet her. He was chasing her trying to prove he wasn't a player who would cheat and lie to her.He wanted to do so many things to her with his mouth, fingers and c*ck to make his statement crystal clear!
HOOOOOOT!
description
He liked to take control and be a little rough and pull some hair....
description
Kyrie was really funny and she was burned by a player in the past that's why she was avoiding to meet Easton in the first place. But when they met everything clicked in the right places!
Their attraction was instant and bed was calling their names to get some action....
The only thing that bothered me in this book was Kyrie because I didn't like her lack of answer when things got out of hand and I would have given her a slap or two you know to get it together!!

I just had the best orgasm of my life, and he was already stroking the fire for another.

At the first couple of times they tried to rip some clothes off but always something crazy came up and left them with unfinished business....That was brutal for their p(penis) and v(vagina)!!!
description
Easton, Kyrie, Nikki, Braden and Kasey were CRAZY and when you put them together RUN for you life as fast as you can....They were HILARIOUS
Let me give you some examples of how crazy funny this book was....
This was kind of a song that Kasey and Braden made up...

"Fingers go in knuckle deep, ready that pussy for a feast.
Grip them up and swirl the spot, thumb that clitty 'til it's nice and hot.Flick the tongue and watch her squirm, give the thumb another turn.Slip the pinky in the bum, watch her scream your name and come"

And here Easton tried to leave a heartfelt message to Kyrie...that didn't turn very well!

"This is Kyrie,leave a message.Unless you're a player."
"Um-um, hey, it's me, again. Look I get you don't want to talk to me, for whatever reason you have.
But I deserve more than being ignored. If you need more time, that's fine. But can you send me a text telling me when we can talk, so that I at least have something to hold onto?I'm dying here."
My hand slipped and I hit a button. There was a voice.
"Do you want to save this message or record a new one?
Answer yes or no."
"Yes,wait which question am I responding to?"
"Do you want to delete this message?"
I was trying to leave a heartfelt message and maintain my thought process and this recoreding had me on the verge of blowing a gasket.
"What the fuck? No."
"I'm sorry, I didn't understand that."
"Well open your goddamn ears then, motherfucker."
"I'm sorry. I didn't understand that."
"Look douche.I'm trying to tell the woman I lo-like, that I need to talk to her.And you've-"
"Saving message. Goodbye."
Did my conversation with the machine just get tacked on to the end of that voicemail?

Now let's see how HOT this book was....
description
"I'm going to fuck you hard,Kyrie.I want you to know that baby.
I'm going to own this pussy.I can't help myself."

description
"That cute little giggle of yours is going to get you fucked."
"Promise?"
"Spread your legs."
description
"This is so fucking hot watching you take every inch."
"Harder."
"Harder?"
"Yes!"
"You like it rough, baby?"
"Yes!"

description
"Kyrie?
"Yeah?"
"I just want to be with you"
"Then take me.I'm yours."

description
"Every moment without you was the worst of my life.
I love you, Kyrie.I never want to be apart again."

Enjoy!xxx

I have never felt the urge to create a bucket list. I think it causes extra pressure on my already delicate sens of self-worth to have yet another list I can go through every year and realise how many things I have NOT done with my life. But then I read Cleat Chaser and now I have one:

Kitty’s Bucket List Item #1: Move to ‘Murica and learn about baseball

OK, so moving to America isn’t so much a want-to-do as it is a need-to-do. Donal Trump scares the fuck out of me. I mean, y’all can see he’s orange right? Anyway, I digress. America. Land of the Baseball (though someone needs to take the time to explain the World Series to me – who are y’all playing against?!) Much of the terminology in this book went right over my head. Like, I have no idea what a cleat is but apparently it can be chased.** There was much talk about bottoming the ninth, charging the mound and mashing balls after having a pitcher so it seems like baseball can be a pretty good time. Plus there are men in tight pants so a girl could set her prejudices aside and maybe pick up an illustrated guide to baseball.

Kitty’s Bucket List Item #2: Become a Cleat Chaser

Hopefully I will find myself a man like Easton Frikken Holliday. The man can practice his batting in my cage any day of the week (made a baseball reference, yay me)! Who doesn’t enjoy watching a player being turned into a bumbling obsessed fool by a woman?! If that man can be as adorable and sweet as he can be just downright fucking filthy, then I’d say you’ve hit a homerun (another sports ball reference! Woah, could you call that a double header?) Easton was completely obsessed from the moment he spotted Kyrie from across the field (I mean, swoon) and his uncertainty and desperation for her had my swoony bits all-a-quiver.

Kitty’s Bucket List Item #3: Have the hot sex with above mentioned player

So this book has an actual plot and there is romance. Lots and lots of incredibly sweet, endearing, swoon-worthy romance that made my heart palpitate and my toes curl but it also comes with some extremely hot sexy times. All the tearing off of clothes, hair pulling, pantie ripping, wall-banging and deliciously filthy words you can shake a bat at (heh heh). There is also bucket loads of sexual tension and things didn’t always go according to plan for these two (cue more hilarity) and when I wasn’t frustrated to the point of insanity, the panties were melted right off me.

Kitty’s Bucket List Item #4: Get drunk with Celia Aaron and Sloane Howell

The things that came out of these people’s pens were ridiculous and filthy and I need to surround myself with more people like this. I mean, I’d never take them out in public but who needs sunshine when you can spend your days laughing your ass off ? Aside from being hot as fuck this book was also HILARIOUS. The banter and the interactions between characters made my head explode. The sexy times made my ovaries explode. The sugary sweet romance made my heart explode. I absolutely fucking loved every single word of this book and I wholeheartedly (wholeheadedly, wholeovariesly) recommend Cleat Chaser!

Kitty’s Bucket List Item #5: Use the following terms in conversation –

“Softer than a whore’s wet pussy”
“Jackson Pollock a pair of flop rockets”
“Twat rocket”
“Dancing the Clitterbug”

**I have since googled cleats and I must say I am both completely underwhelmed and utterly disappointed.

I have read and liked both authors separately, and know the style of writing they offer, so the smut, innuendo and over the top characters weren't a surprise, but you need to add a story into that mix to keep it entertaining.

I didn't mind Easton and Kyrie, but they were totally overshadowed by the secondary characters, all of which I disliked intensely. I am all for tongue-in-cheek humor with my romance, but I just cannot find anything I like enough about the story to make it worth my time to finish it.

That-said, I would happily read more by both these authors whether together or separately, this one just wasn't my cup of tea.

Cleat Chaser is packed with erotic scenes and dirty talking protagonists. It’s a light-hearted, fun and quick read with a sexy baseball playing hero, his brash talking sister, an I've-been-hurt-before heroine who loves to read and her BFF. There's instant attraction, a little push and pull and oodles of sexy fun.

I found the surrounding characters to be somewhat abrasive in their tone, which I know is part of the fun element, but it detracted from my personal enjoyment. In contrast, the attraction between the hero and heroine is sizzling and instant, their scenes together scorching. There are moments that I felt the romance of the story which was really lovely. Cleat Chaser is certainly entertaining and being loved by the many readers who are experiencing this baseball themed story.

A New Design

First of all, this book was a nice surprise 'cause I seriously never thought that it would make me clue myself to it and reading each page with a smile on my face... so much that anyone could have thought I was up for something bad XD

description
yeah that was me at 2 in the morning!

Now the plot is not complicated is actually light and great letting the reader feel identificated with the characters and get into their world... I mean who doesn't have a friend that goes like:

description
I’m one of those myself hahaha

So we have
description
Kyrie is afraid to open her heart once again due to a really bad experience from an imbecile…while Easton, the typical player apparently is up to never let her go ‘cause he can’t stop himself from wanting her.
A New Design

A New Design

And when these two come together…will have to figure out if the brain or the chemistry will win this battle between the two of them!

So girls…

A New Design

as if you don’t know that ha!

What comes first to my mind after reading Clear Chaser is very hot and kinky sport romance with a lot of crazy and fun people. Baseball fans will get here a lot of play and sexy moments, for sure.

“...it’s time for you to suck it up, buttercup. Nothing wrong with being a cleat chaser like me.”

About the plot: Kyrie Kent swore that she'd never allow herself fall in love with the player, again. But her friend Nikki is dating one and dragged her into the game. Although at the beginning she was more interested in her Kindle than what happens on the field, her eye caught a sexy pitcher, Easton Holliday. And this attraction was not one-sided. Determined not afford a weakness she runs away from him as soon as possible.

Easton felt insta-attracted to her when he saw her in the grandstand. But she quickly disappeared from his eyes. Fate would have it, his best friend Branden is dating her friend Nikki. And in this way they are trying to arrange a double date. A date, about which she has no idea.

“Wow, I got the whole “it’s not you, it’s me” speech before I’d even taken her on a real date. Fuck it, she smiled at me. It was a win as far as I was concerned. ”

Final thoughts: That's what needs to be said about this book is that it is quick and easy to read. It should also please the baseball fans and those who love sports romance because there is plenty of it and the game is described more than once. What is not as obvious as that might seem. Also it has a lot of hot and sexy scenes. They despite various perturbations in life, in bed are one the great fire along with plenty of dirty talk from Easton. It is really hot!

“That cute little giggle of yours is going to get you fucked.”
“Promise?”

I'd only added more in-depth feelings. It went pretty fast for their relationship. But it has good side because a lot was happening and it kept interest. You can also count on a lot of funny moments. Some scenes are so hilarious that seem even ridiculous. And while some of them amused me a lot, sometimes it was too much. It is through this amount of crazy people. Nikki and Kasey are great but they're both in the same book? It's too much! Good advice you hear from them for example?

“Look Easton, if she starts hassling you about your past, just lick on her clit a little. It’s the easiest way out of a difficult conversation.”

So it was quick and funny reading. Fans of sport romance certainly spend nice time reading it and in definitely sexy way.

As a big sports fan, I absolutely adored Cleat Chaser by Celia Aaron and Sloane Howell. This book left a big fat smile on my face. Usually in sports romance novels, there is always the hot shot star athlete who talks about the big game but in Cleat Chaser, Celia and Sloane did a fun twist on your typical sports romance books. They actually made the hero sweet and lovable right from the start. And they actually did incorporate baseball into the story line.

Kyrie Kent is done with players. She is perfectly contempt to be in her own little bubble with her kindle. She knows what it is like to be betrayed by an athlete. So when her best friend drags her to go to a baseball game, Kyrie was busy reading on her kindle that is until East Holliday caught her attention.

Easton Holliday is a professional pitcher for The Ravens. And so when he spots Kyrie in the stands not paying attention to the game, he was intrigued. In hockey, you have the puck bunnies and in baseball, you have the cleat chasers. And so you can imagine, Easton was intrigued that Kyrie had no interest in being a cleat chaser. So when he asked one of his closest friend, who happens to be dating Kyrie’s best friend, to help set up an introduction, Easton was a ball of nerves. He liked Kyrie right from the start that she didn’t care for his fame and money.

After a few tries, Easton was able to worm his way into Kyrie’s good side. As the two begin to spend quality time with one another, deep feelings begin to emerge. But what happens when Kyrie’s ex-boyfriend comes waltzing back in the picture? Will Kyrie find herself be the one chasing Easton as she tries to win back his heart?

With that being said, Cleat Chaser is definitely your feel good romance. The writing and story line were playful, fun, fresh, and sexy. And can I say, everyone deserves to have a BFF like Nikki, Braden and of course, you can not forget Kacey, even though she is like of those friends you cringe because you never know what embarrassing and unfiltered thing will come out of her mouth. So if you are looking for a book that weaves sports, romance, and laughter then this book is definitely for you.

3 "I'll bring the heat. You bring the Kindle." Stars

Baseball romance stories always spark my interest so I felt excited to read Cleat Chaser by Celia Aaron and Sloane Howell. This book is light, sexy, and fun from start to finish, perfect for a lazy, reading day. Told from the dual 1st person points of view of both hero and heroine, the story flows easily and reads quite fast. Aaron and Howell's writing a great combination of witty and sexy.

Kyrie Kent follows a once bitten, twice shy mantra in her life. Burned once by a ball player her cleat chasing days are way behind her. Easton Holliday after many unsuccessful romps with cleat chasers finds something in Kyrie he's been missing. It's insta-attraction between the two and not without a little meddling and pushing from their dating friends.

I dug the baseball references a lot as they were plentiful really enhancing the sports romance. I loved Kyrie's attitude and Easton's charisma. Together their banter was entertaining and the cat and mouse that ensues from their attraction was fun. Both characters have their work cut out with the other but each makes it work. There were many times in the beginning I found myself smiling at Kyrie's disinterest, it made her more intriguing as a heroine. Their friends enthusiasm was contagious for me as the reader adding good tension release and funny anecdotes to the story. And Easton's sister, well she comes on really strong adding crude charm to the story in an oddly comforting and intriguing way.

There were a few eye-rolling moments for me when Easton said or did something I felt no man would do and a couple of times I wanted to shake Kyrie for making unjust assumptions based on her past or contradicting herself within the same page. Their attraction went from lust to love really fast for me I would have liked to see a little more development in their relationship.

However, overall, this likable story is a light, sexy romance with abundant humor. There's no shortage of hot, sexy times between Easton and Kyrie and really the secondary characters too. I recommend for sports romance lovers who want a quick, dirty, fun ride on the baseball wild side.

However, when her best friend Nikki finds love with a local baseball player, she convinces Kyrie to tag along for a game. It doesn't take long for Nikki to catch the attention of the sexy pitcher of the team.
"I caught a glimpse of her brunette hair and hauled ass in her direction."~Easton
description
"I said that you and Easton have an obvious chemistry and it would be a good idea for you to let him put his dick in you."~Nikki
It takes Easton about five seconds to decide that Kyrie is the woman for him. With his best friend Braden and his younger sister Kasey, Easton has all of the back-up he needs to seal the deal. He just needs to get Kyrie on board for the ride!
"Bro, strike these whores out and go fuck the prom queen. It's the jock code."~Braden

Kyrie and Easton share a charged dance of back and forth before finally coming together. Just when it seems Kyrie is ready to give her heart to Easton, old demons threaten their new romance. Can Kyrie and Easton find a way to lasting love?
"I've never seen you love anything as much as baseball until she came along. Stop being a twat rocket and do something about it."~Braden
description
"He obliged, licking up my chest and neck until he claimed my lips as his. It was a messy kiss, full of every ounce of passion and need we'd stoked in each other."~Kyrie
Told in dual POV, Cleat Chaser was an absolute delight. The fast paced dialogue was full of hilarious banter and each moment is charged with action, sexy steam, and swoon-worthy emotions. The characters are well developed, and their close relationships to each other are endearing and drew me in from the first scene of the book. This is a quick read that once you start, you will not be able to put it down. You will laugh, happy cry, and swoon over Kyrie and Easton the entire read. Although the plot of boy meets girl has been played out countless times before, it is the unique delivery of Cleat Chaser that makes it original and one baseball romance that must not be missed! In addition to the upbeat pacing and the loveable characters, the steam factor is off the charts hot! The chemistry between Easton and Kyrie was intense and rest assured those highlighted scenes will be re-read again and again!
"I love you, Kyrie."~Easton

Overall, I cannot recommend Cleat Chaser enough. I was blown away by the smooth writing styles of both Ms. Aaron and Mr. Howell. Never have I read a book written by two authors where the transitions were so smoothly connected. The seamless shift between the POV's made Kyrie and Easton come alive and find a place in my heart forever! All I can say is run to Amazon now! As for Ms. Aaron and Mr. Howell, I want more! I will be waiting!

This was my first read from this (these) author (authors), and was told by a reading friend that she enjoyed this rom-com, so while I was looking for my next read, I thought, why not? A one-click later, I was starting the journey of Kyrie and Easton. One is a major league player and the other has sworn off dating such players. But Easton isn’t about to take no for an answer.

After being badly hurt by her ex, Kyrie has sworn off men of the baseball variety. But when she spots Easton on the mound, she can’t take her eyes off of him. Easton isn’t new to the dating or attraction game, but there is something about Kyrie that has him wanting so much more. Even if he has to work hard for it.

So this was a fun, cute and funny read – not too much of the way of dramatic emotional moments. A bit of it was over the top, still humorous, but that sort of dynamic always limits the emotional pull of a story for me. I struggle to connect to characters in rom-coms for some reason. It’s like if I laugh too much, I can’t love them enough. Weird. But true.

So although I was not head over heels in love with this story, I still enjoyed it. I laughed at the antics of the characters but just found I lacked that ability to develop any real feelings towards the characters. I think that because so much of the story was characters being a bit goofy, it was hard to cross over from laughing to having my heart strings pulled.

But if you are in the market for a fun, quirky read that his steamy and will have you snort-laughing, this is the book for you.

3.5 Whiffle Ball Bat Hitting Stars!

This was fun...really fun...and also filled with that "just not right" humor! I love a good sports story and baseball is my fave sport! I wasn't overly crazy about the insta-love that was brewing after one date and one almost trip around the bases, but I still enjoyed the story...especially the fabulous HEAT!

3.5 Stars

I'm not a big sports girl, but if I had to choose a sport to watch live it would always be baseball. Despite the fact that I like the sport, this is my first baseball book. I've read hockey, football, soccer, and one lone rugby book but no baseball. I'm not really sure why I waited so long I definitely know more about baseball than soccer or rugby, maybe even football (which is the sport of choice for both my brother and dad) but I was hesitant to read about it. Cleat Chaser definitely changed my mind about reading baseball books and I'm hoping to hunt down a few more soon :)

Kyrie, who's name I did not care for nearly as much as Easton's, was a character I didn't connect with as much as I would've liked. I understood her reservations about Easton and they were well founded considering her past but I didn't like that she struggled so much with being unable to separate her past relationship and her present with Easton.

I really liked Easton, and his name was cheeky, I appreciated that. I really liked Easton with Braeden, they were funny in an inappropriate and awesome way. He had an easy going friendship with Braeden that I loved and I felt like that easy-going theme carried over to his other relationships. He also had a certain intensity when it came to the people and things he cared about. All around, he was a very likeable character.

I definitely liked Easton more than Kyrie but I felt like he improved her; he made her more likeable for me. This book had some serious insta-something. It wasn't exactly insta-love but their relationship and feelings were definitely moving at hyper speed. It was a bit over the top at times, but quick, sexy, and funny. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for something quick, sporty, and fun and you're not afraid of "moving too fast".

**4 Cleat Chasing Stars!**

I was never big on sports romances until now! I really enjoyed Kyrie and Easton's story! This was perfect read for when you need a hot, light on angst, romance. I loved the heroine Kyrie. She was down to earth, an easy going woman and it was easy to relate to her. The secondary characters were by far my faves!! They were funny, especially Easton's sister, I laughed out quite a bit and the best friends secondary plot was interesting and I cannot wait for their story in the upcoming book.

What I loved about Easton, he was a famous but lovable baseball star. I don't usually like famous heroes as most are just complete assholes with no redeeming qualities, but Easton had a lot of good in him. He's the kind of man you'd want to spend time with and be around...definitely my kind of hero. As a pitcher for the Ravens, the minute he laid on Kyrie Easton in the stands Easton was done for. He wanted her in his life. Kyrie and Easton's relationship proved to have a lot of ups and downs and insecurities, but I loved how they're relationship unfolds.

Cleat Chaser is an erotic, fun, sexy romance thats filled with light-heartedness and funny moments. It's perfect as an in between read if you love dark romances. You won't be disappointed.

4 "chasing and catching" stars

bloody hell, i am sooooooo late for this

But better late than never... *wink*

As i said, i finally wrapped this one up and i have to state clear the i really liked ut! It was HILARIOUS, the dialogues were so funny and smart, i enjoyed in every single word...and banter between all the characters, i enjoyed the description of the actual baseball gameand it was done in such way that a true laic such as me would catch on pretty well on the rules of the action!

The sex segment was "real" and described in such a vivid way *goosebumps*...and i certainly LOVED that part, i unfortunately didnt "pick up" the instant love thing( i am more of a slow build up kinda girl *shrugs*)...and i had a feeling that Easton, the main cleat wearer was a bit overwhelmingly pushy...

Nevertheless, the Cleat Chaser should NOT be passed by in the contemporary erotica section nor in the sport steamy romance section either.

You wouldn't want this happening to you, now would you?
Then, don't miss it! *wink*

I LOVE baseball! So when I come across a book about my favorite sport, I just have to read it! The name instantly caught my attention. Cleat Chaser is a sexy, unique twist to the typical sports romance. The characters are very original, and the story still gives you all that you desire in a romance...sex, intrigue, and loads of crazy feels!

Kyrie Kent has no interest in baseball, especially the players. So why did she allow her best friend to drag her to a game? A commotion on the field draws her attention out of the book she's reading and into the waiting gaze of Easton Holliday. Gorgeous, sexy, charming and eyes that burn into her soul, Kyrie is captivated. But she's been burned before, and by a player no less. So no matter how alluring he is, Kyrie is not willing to take the risk of her heart being played again.

Easton Holliday has always been focused on the game. Until he meets the beautiful Kyrie Kent. She's nothing like what he's used to. She's career focused, intelligent and has no interest in baseball. Easton is instantly fascinated and begins to develop an unidentifiable desire to make Kyrie his. But it's not easy to convince someone to trust you, when you're the type of person she wants nothing to do with.

Cleat Chaser is full of comedy, heartache, and passion...with a side of raunchiness. The characters' relationships with one another is entertaining, and connect with the story wonderfully. With as much chemistry as Kyrie and Easton share, it was frustrating to read that Kyrie was so stubborn and judgmental when it came to Easton. I wanted to reach into the book and shake her silly...not all players are, well, PLAYERS! I fell in love with Easton from the very beginning. Granted, he was the typical single-guy with the typical single-guy reputation. But he showed no signs of being the typical player to Kyrie. That's what made him so charming to read. And then there's Kasey....oh boy, Kasey! 95% of her dialogue could put all other crude male-talk to shame. Seriously. I was NOT expecting her character, at all! I felt that she was almost to the point of too much, until girl-Kasey made her short lived appearance. That saved her character, for me.

Overall, this is a great book. It focuses on pushing past what you think you know, and finding out what you need to truly be happy! If you're a fan of sports romance, then I would definitely recommend picking this one up!

This is a delightful, angsty, "insta-love...but no I can't love another guy like him again" professional baseball romp. Very sexy...very erotic...very hot...with just the right amount of improbable angst to be a quick escape from your everyday cares. The story is competently told in the dual POVs of the hero and heroine. The hero is well-described and actually quite the nice guy. even though he is a devastatingly handsome professional baseball player. The heroine is a beautiful and accomplished women hurt by a former lover with whom the reader can well relate. It is the kind of read that entertains because it follows the formula for a hot romance complete with HEA ending that floats the romance reader away and (of course) with the appropriate "feels".
