Malik Muhammad Rustam Kayani also known as M. R. Kayani or Justice Kayani, was a distinguished Pakistani jurist who served as Chief Justice of West Pakistan from 1958 to 1962. He is noted for his opposition to the dictatorship of General Ayub Khan.
well, what to say about this art piece, its simply fabolous. actualy its a collection of speeches deliverd by M.R.Kayani,in which he has critcised the then military regime of F.M.Ayub Khan.he is a staunch believer of democracy and condemns the sleeping nation in avery amusing way by calling them 'ashaab-e-kahaf' who are in deep sleep. the writer Justice M.R. Kayani, although didn't knew urdu at first hand but he was forced to deliver speeches in urdu as most of his listeners didnt knew english.and he did it as no other could've done it that way. I'll recommend this book to every Pakistani who has seen now the judicial activism, people should know that our lawyer community was awakened right from the start and its just that they've got hte media on their side this time Remember our Quaid, Iqbal were all lawyers and even Bhutto also studied law and did practise for a while. I think its about time we should join hands with our lawyer community and take our beloved land to the right track again, where no Inter pass general could promulgate the constitution and basic human rights.
My teacher recommended me this book and i have been looking for it but i could not find it... i found another book by the same author and found it really interesting.
