A charming continuation of the All I Want series. Travel always presents problems. Add a new relationship to the mix and you get humorous situations, mixed signals, and jealousy. Can love save the day or holiday? Can't wait to read the next one.
I love reading about these characters in instalments. It's so nice to know it's not over when you finish the story and that you'll be getting a little more of an insight into their relationship.
In "All I want for spring" Holly and Tori are off on a weekend break to Rome. One of the most romantic and historic cities in the world, surely their holiday will be full of romance and happiness. Think again...
This is another great read from Lydon, it follows the ups and downs of this couples first weekend away together. It's funny, sweet and of course sexy.
So this is Tori and Holly doing vacation in Rome. It's light and fluff and a quick read since it's more a novella than a real novel.
There is some stupid drama but everything that happened at the queer club also felt kinda accurate for the queer community? We're a total mess and I love it. Not so much the suggested infidelity but yeah I don't know where I'm going with this sentence.
Holly is a little downer on this trip but in the end, it all works out and that's all you want from this series. f/f fluff. And it delivers that.
Finally, off to Rome and for the first time together abroad. Tori has mapped out a plan to see as much as they could. Holly wasn't sure about this trip because all her holidays always ended in disaster. And indeed, nothing was going according to their plan. Is their relationship strong enough to survive this trip? Again, an awesome sequel in this series.
Off to Rome for a vacation.. what could possible go wrong? This and that, and more of this. Spring sure was a fun time. I wonder what Summer will bring for these two characters.
Going to Rome for vacation sounded like a excellent idea! Each learning to calm themselves and their partner takes some extra insight when it seems that communication works both ways. Learning to listen is a great asset, patience goes both ways and they make it home holding hands. But doesn't every couple have their moments when with a few simple words calms the storm! Even learning a new skill can be trying at the best of times, whether Tori get back on a Segway is for another story. Enjoy!
To start, I want to say that I was given an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a review. I want to add that it's very rare for me to give a 5 star rating to don't take my 4 on this as a sign that the book is not good, because it is. I had previously read the first two in the series so I knew what to expect from this one and it didn't disappoint. I felt that All I Want For Spring was a nice continuation of the trials and antics found within Tory and Holly's budding relationship. So if you're looking for a little romance, seasoned with a dash of humor and a pinch of angst, this lighthearted piece is for you. But, to better understand their history and references, you really should read the first two before this one.
My one issue (and it's a small one because I clearly like the series enough to read 3 now) is that sometimes I have a hard time telling the characters apart in their back and forth dialogue. And I've had to reference the first book a few times to remember family members and history, but all in all it's a nice light read. Thank you for delivering a fun new story Clare, keep up the good work and I'll look forward to the next one!
Difficulty/Seriousness: light read Likability of characters: Definitely. Fun, funny, and fully of foibles. Range of emotion: Average range for this type of story. Full of humor, angst, love and drama. Length: Just a few hours for a fast reader, maybe twice as long for an average person. A nice little snack! :)
I'm loving this series Tori and Holly and the segway was priceless. Thought All I want for Summer would be out in June come on Clare more more more........
