Kat couldn’t come across as more anti-social if she tried. With a mouth that makes a truck driver sound like a choir girl, an attitude that screams come close at your own risk, Kat can be unnecessarily brutal, rude, cruel and just a little bit too self-absorbed to realize she is not the center of the universe. Is her anti-social behavior a shield? Does she need a boyfriend and maybe some tension release?

When her mother joins the internet dating scene, Kat joins in, but will any of these men be a keeper?

Moments of hysterical laughter, lots of blue language and tattoos-lots of tattoos and piercings everywhere. Match This! by M.J. Fields is an over the top tale of an over the top girl with an over the top attitude and if not for the supporting characters and perfectly timed comic relief, this would definitely been just a little over the top reading. I’m not sure I got to know Kat, although her mother was a gem!

Entertaining and light reading for those who don’t mind liberally tossed around coarse language.

I received this copy from M.J. Fields in exchange for my honest review.

This is a decent romantic comedy read although I have to say that I felt no connection to the heroine. She is very dry and emotionless which is a big turn off for me. Some of the stuff she said was pretty funny and I did laugh a lot through the book but that's about it for me. There is some sex, there is a little tiny bit of romance, and a lot of LOL moments. I just wish the main character had a bit more personality.

So I read this straight after reading Unsocially Yours which was a good thing because it helped me understand who Kat was and her life up until now.

She basically is a woman who has huge issues with men, in fact she could have been the person who made up the saying 'all men are bastards.' As a young girl she lost her father when he died tragically, her mother hooked up with the parish priest and the guy she gave her virginity to turned out to be a shithead. Those experiences paved the way for her into adulthood.

Now she works full time in a tattoo parlour, using her creative talent in a way that she wants too. She is single and likes it that way. Men are only good for one thing and even then a lot of them aren't that good at it.

When her mother unexpectedly shows up on her doorstep to stay for a while, Kat finds herself trying to figure out who her mother is now and adjusting to this adult mother/daughter relationship. Her mum is no longer with the ex-priest and has decided to dip into the world of online dating. Kat's friends are keen for her to do the same so they have fun setting up random dates for her, with a bit of her mother's input.

The thing with Kat is that she is so freaking full of anger and sabotages any potential connection she might have with a guy and when she does go with her gut she just gets burned, further cementing the fact that all men are bastards.

She really needs to get laid though, regularly. Maybe the answer to her sex itch is right under her nose? With someone she knows and trusts..... well, like me you have to wait until you read Imperfectly Matched to see what Kat does next!

Ever listen to a book and think " damn, this character is just like me?"
Yeah, well, I hadn't either. And I'm really not like Kat on the outside, but on the inside Kat is my spirit animal. She's ruthless, mean, and so fucking snarky that I wish we were friends. Best Friends.

I haven't listened to a book this funny in ages. Okay, probably about six months, but that's a long time in the audio world. Do you have any idea how many books I've listened to in six months?! Exactly.
So, MJ Fields gives us this sexy, light, and fucking hilarious little story about a tattoo artist named Kat, her mother, and her two best friends. Oh, and the sexy men she works with at the shop. This book is about friendships and relationships.

And for a book about hooking-up, there is very little sex. I'm talking, one sexual encounter. ONE.
Until the end, when there's a sexy as fuck sexual encounter that goes.....nowhere. Nowhere because the book ends and now I am dying for book two. Which I've already queued up on my Kindle.

Get ready for one wild ride. This book is hilarious. And just know that Kat is going to say all the things you wished you could say. And she's not going to give a fuck about how that makes you feel.

**I listened to this audio and Ramona Master was awesome. Her tone and inflection and overall attitude as Kat is on point. It's easy to distinguish the different characters as she changes her tone/pitch with each person. I really, really hope she narrates book two.

Thank you so much Love Between The Sheets for sending me a copy of Match This!! I'm very honored and extremely grateful!! :)

5 Glittery Unicorn Stars!!

Okay i really feel terrible for not having read Ms.Fields work before so i plan to get more of her books very soon! This book holds nothing back and i absolutely loved every single second of it! Holy cow it was so incredible! It stories like this one that reinstates why i like it when someone tells me exactly how they feel about something without caring what others think. It's all about being who you want to be in life without feeling ashamed or guilty for it. If you couldn't already tell by the kick-butt cover that this story is as great and cool as they come then you are so missing out! I hated when it ended but i am so stinking happy that continuation of Kat's story is coming out super soon! I had to wipe a few tears away from laughing so hard and i found myself agreeing with so many things that the heroine said to the point that i was like "Finally, a chick who can read my mind".

The pace of the story was fantastic and i think by how it took place during multiple different periods of time left me feeling more connected to the main character. A few times i wanted to grab some characters of my Kindle and smack the ever loving crap out of them for the things they did. Honestly, some of the men in this book grated on my nerves tremendously and how the heroine put them in their place had me cheering like crazy! To say this book is a humorous and empowering one would be an understatement. I'm still freaked out by some of the guys from the Dating App and i don't think i'll forget that one guy 'Alvin' anytime soon. Ms.Fields is a literary genius and has the knack to make the reader feel understood. She has such a humor that i totally get and i'm thankful to her for all of the laughs!! Also, the growth of many characters in this story was great to see.

Kat Brun was a character who did things her way and didn't care what others had to say on that. She was so hilarious and i couldn't keep a straight face for many parts in the book. She was smart with an even smarter mouth to match and she would say exactly what was on her mind concerning any subject and or person. I liked that she stayed true to herself and embraced the goals she strived to accomplish in her life. At first i wasn't sure what direction her life was going to go and i think that made everything more exciting. Kat grew up so much during the duration of the story and her growth was very interesting to see. Feelings weren't something that she was ever fond of and she had a very tough exterior which a times was more of a curse rather than a blessing. Whenever her nice streak came out i felt like i got see more of her heart and grasp a better understanding of who she truly was. I wish i could be as brazen as her.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a story that isn't always cheerful but one that is most certainly realistic and always truthful. If you pick this one up i can guarantee you that you will be put in a better mood due to all of the dialogue being so jaw dropping but with a lightness as well as care-free atmosphere to it you can't not smile. It's one of those stories that won't be leaving my mind anytime soon and i have to tell you right now that once you start reading you won't be able to stop!!

If you haven't already hit that One-click button, What are you waiting for? Go pick up this comedic and wonderfully beautiful gem Today! You won't regret it!! I sure hope you love it as much as i do! 5 Stars all around! This book deserves more than five stars so i'm throwing in about 50 Unicorns into the mix. (Read the book to find out why i am obsessed with glitter and unicorns now).

I requested this book because it stated that it was a lighthearted romantic comedy and I freaking LOVE those. I could read those every day of the week and never get enough.

We have Kat (Katherine) as the main heroine of the novel. Although, I don't know if she would even like that title. We meet her in college as she falls for a guy who ends up being her college professor. Who then ends up cheating on her. Or maybe not. I feel like we never fully got the whole story because she never actually spoke to him. However, that is certainly the impression she got from him. But because he cheated on her, she dropped out of Harvard and moved home. (Great lesson for all the ladies)

We fast forward a bit in her life and she is settled as a tattoo artist and happy. She isn't "dating" in the traditional sense, but she is loving her life. She has a strained relationship with her family and THEN her mother comes to stay with her. To say that her mother disapproves of her life is an understatement. When Kat sees that her mother has signed up for a dating site, Match, she decides to do so as well, with a dating profile FULL of snark. She meets loser after loser and that is the premise of the novel.

I wouldn't call this a romantic comedy, less book 2 is full of romance. This doesn't have romance in it. This is a comedy and has plenty of funny elements. However, romance or love isn't one of them. I love Kat and her personality and if I were single today, I would most likely be taking her approach to dating. I hope the professor from the beginning makes a cameo or comes back for book 2. I thought he would end up being one of her dates in this book. I still hope that happens so Kat can rip into him.

Overall, I would rate this book a 3.5-4 stars, rounding up hoping book 2 will have more romance than comedy in it. Or SOME romance! :-)

This book was hilarious! As a person with little to no filter, I loved reading about Kat who is the same way. She may not be the most feminine female there is but she was great and loved her friends and family and she's one of my favorite heroines to date.

"I've heard talk of this bed twice now, yet I don't see it, and my clothes are still on."

I loved the whole online dating part of this story. It was witty and had a lot of laugh out loud parts. It had me so drawn in that I read this whole thing in one evening. I can't wait till this summer when we will get the rest of this story! I'm like on the edge of my seat waiting to see if what I want to happen will be how the story goes! There was a few parts of the book that the story moved at a slower pace than other parts. Over all though this was good stuff.

The cover screamed CM Stunich and the synopsis shouted Tara Sivec, so did Match This live up to my expectations?

I was a little confused at the start of this book until I realised that the first part of the story came from a short story called “Unsocially Yours”. Despite my initial confusion, and after re-reading the author’s note, I read on and found myself becoming quickly engrossed in Kat and Owen’s story during her early days at University. I loved the unexpected turn of events surrounding Owen and I kind of assumed, wrongly, that the second part of the story would involve Owen in some way, but it didn’t, apart from the way he inadvertently shaped Kat’s adult life. I loved the feel of this YA/NA part of the book, from the quirky friendships that Kat developed at University to her developing romance with Owen. I didn’t quite get the first sex scene, and all it entailed, but I guess the explanation came with the news that Kat was younger than Owen had anticipated. I also didn’t understand the Wentworth Miller references, without Googling him, so I guess some of the magic was lost on me.

Part 2 brought us to the present day with Kat now an artist working in a Tattoo Shop. Sworn never to trust men again, Kat is surprised when she finds her mother using an online dating site and after some initial reservations, she joins her mother in experiencing the highs, or rather lows, of online dating, even if only to show her mother that the men she finds there may not be all that they appear to be. This is where the story really took a backward turn for me. I really didn’t enjoy the experience of Kat’s dating encounters (or her mother’s come to that). I did enjoy the stories surrounding Kat’s co-workers though, especially Ricco, but just as the connection between Kat and Ricco was building momentum towards the end of the story, the book ended.

This was my first MJ Fields book so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Yes, I loved the cover, although the teasers with all the middle finger action are a little unnecessary, in my eyes. The synopsis even sounded interesting and hinted at a humorous story set around Kat’s dating escapades. However; this book, for me, completely missed the funny mark and instead of skipping across the line into the realms of truly memorable comical read, it crawled, very sluggishly, into something nondescript. I guess I will be in the minority here but I just didn’t get the humour. The story itself came across a little disjointed and I just couldn’t settle to enjoy it. The banter between Kat and some of her dating contacts was moderately funny but it just didn’t make me laugh out loud, once. This may be because I’m a Brit and some of the references were lost on me but I felt that the story lost its way and even its identity on more than one occasion.

I really tried to be a positive with this review but I’m afraid I’m just at a loss as what to write. I’m far from a prude and I love truly edgy stories but I felt the author was try to shock readers by some of the phases she coined as well as forcing the humour rather than letting it develop naturally. Maybe I am just too old to appreciate this brand of humour so instead of finding it funny, it just felt very uncomfortable. I am curious however to see who “Rider1” is though so I will just have to see if my curiosity outweighs my need to step away from this story.

Kat is an unapologetically filter-less, supremely snarky, tell-it-like-it-is chick. She knows who she is and, frankly, she could care less if you like her or not. Most of what comes out of her mouth is pretty judgmental commentary, but her rapid-fire delivery was uproariously funny most of the time—well except when she crossed over the line from sarcasm to honesty that can be almost too brutal. Most of the time, though, Kat’s the kind of girl you’d definitely love to hang with at happy hour, well as long as YOU aren’t the butt of her jokes. She makes no bones about any of this, though. Oh no, she’ll tell you straight up: “I don’t like…people.” And she really doesn’t.

One of the things I loved about Kat was her professional-level bantering skills. The back-and-forth between her and the Momster, her and her friends and her and her coworkers was hilarious. Don’t even get me started on some of those text messages with the online dating suitors! Without a doubt, some of those exchanges were Buzzfeed blog post worthy material. A complete master of the verbal volley, her’s was the kind of dry wit that had me audibly snort-laughing. However, there were times, though, where it felt like it went on too long or went too far. Those snarky comments occasionally came off more abrasive than amusing, and it was in those moments that I had a hard time connecting and identifying with Kat. I liked the humor some (ok, most) of the time, but when it went over that line and became too much, and I found myself actually feeling sorry for Kat. Truthfully, Kat wasn’t easy to like sometimes, and while it was her choice to remain unattached, it also wasn’t a surprise that she was either.

I must admit that I sort of vacillated between absolutely loving Kat’s brand of brash but harsh humor and being somewhat put off by it. The more I read about her, the more I got the feeling that perhaps this core of sarcasm came from a place of bitterness and anger. This is, after all, a woman whose views on love and relationships have been shaped by the loss of her father, her mother’s two marriages and the ONE time she allowed herself to wade into the love pool and instead of a refreshing dip in that water, she nearly drowned.

With just the slightest hint of a potential future romance and given Match This! was heavy on the humor, it ultimately felt more like chick-lit to me than the rom-com it’s being billed as. So know that if you go into Match This! expecting a full-on romance, you’re not going to be getting one. But, if you’re up for reading well-written, comedic portrayal of a feisty and spirited young woman’s experiences (and her mother’s!) with online dating then you’ll be quite entertained by MJ Fields’ Match This!. 4 smooches from me.

Debbie's Review

I just finished this book and I am on a book high!!!! I loved this book and there is nothing better than finishing a book and just thinking; Wow what a fantastic story that made me feel so good and happy while reading it.

I was able to connect with all the characters and the book was so well written I felt like I was right there experiencing everything they did. I fell head over heels for all the characters in this one. I am dying to dig into the second book to see how it is going to end because the ending in this one was not only off the charts HOT, but the banter between Kat and Ricco was fantastic.

There is not one thing I can say that I didn’t’ like about this book. All the characters worked perfectly together and the writing was on point. There were no page fillers and the story moved at the perfect pace. The banter between all the characters was fantastic. I loved it all!!!

“You’ve been found out,” Zack says leaning against the desk. “We know for sure, you don’t live in a cave, sleep in a coffin, and drink the blood of virgin twinks-“

I liked that you got the little novella in the beginning that gave you Kat’s back-story and why her relationship with her mother was the way it was. I really enjoyed Kat’s mother in this book. She was funny and I felt she was totally misunderstood but once Kat got to see what she was truly like and why she did things she did when she was younger that is when I felt that Kat had a better understanding for her. I felt that Kat’s character grew throughout this book. At first she seemed a little immature and it was all about herself. As the story progressed she learned to step back and look around and really take the time to get to know people.

The story has several laugh-out-loud moments and had me hooked from the first page. I could not put this book down and cannot wait to dig into the second book. This book had wonderful chemistry between all the characters. The plot was totally believable and I was hooked from the start!!!!! If you are looking for a book that will have you giddy and full of smiles and a main character that doesn’t hold back and just tells it like it is than you should check this one out. You will not be disappointed.

I gave this book 5 Stars!

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book, I have been dying to get Kat story. From the beginning to the end you will not be able to put in down. There are tikes you will laugh out loud, angry, and hoping that Rider is Ricco. I absolutely love how Kat has no filter, is independent and is a spit fire! The secondary characters are larger than life.

We first me Kat and Ricco in The Men Of Steel Series and even though they are secondary characters you can just tell these two have story to tell.

Kat's a take no sh*t kind of girl, but when her mother forces her to start online dating with her, she's taken off guard. Will Kat be able to get her mother to stop being a behind the scenes text whore, or will she get dragged into the craze that is sweeping the nation?

I can't wait for the follow-up book coming out next month.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs and heartbreak.

This is Kat’s story. Kat’s outspoken. She works in a tattoo shop with three men. She is not looking for love. She gets her loving through one night stands. When her mother comes for a visit she finds out that her mother is on a dating website. Now she needs to create a profile to keep an eye on her mother. Kat is a badass and is not afraid to show her crazy side. She is loyal to her close friends and keeps them super close. When Kat gets involved with a mysterious man will it last? Will we be able to figure out who it is? Can’t wait for the next part of Kat’s story.

I loved these characters and also the side characters. This is a laugh out loud book. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

Huge disappointment considering the average rate.
Clearly I’m in the minority here. But still... I can’t comprehend all the five-stars-ratings. Have we red the same book?!?
I kept going, telling myself “the good stuff will surely come soon” but.... nope!

35% in and I was just getting madder.
Better stop before breaking my iPhone.

The h was unpleasant as HELL (and not in a funny/comical way). Rarely I felt ZERO attachment to a heroine. It was the case here.

But my MAJOR ISSUE was her mom..... probably in my personal top 5 of the most ANNOYING character I’ve ever met in a book. Yo m’am: your daughter is a tattoo artist... she does not have leprosy nor she isn’t a prostitute!
Grow up a little, open your mind and accept your child as she is for f*ck sake!!!! She was so unbelievable. Unrealistic. Unable to accept her daughter’s job but she has no problem cleaning her daughter’s collection of 20 or so silicone penises in the dishwasher and sexting dirtily with virtual strangers.

I’m so mad right now. What a crappy book.

Special mention for the audiobook: it was one of the worst narration I’ve ever heard.

*** I was given an ARC for an honest review. ***

This book was totally wacky and made me laugh! Meet the unsocial Kat, with her crazy and over protective mother trying to manage the rules of dating … Or not! When helping her mother by subscribing in a dating site leading her also experiencing some priceless situations!

Kat is full of life, no filter, working in a tattoo shop and also Harvard educated! She’s not searching for her soulmate and enjoying her one night stands. Her body? Yes. Her heart? Hell no. Ever.

When her mother moved in her place for a few weeks, all her professional stability and sanity were thrown by the window. They had a really complicated relationship. Mother and daughter in the same room, just hilarious as unbearable. An explosive time bomb.

Started a long and hilarious experience through online dating, with some entertaining moments, a lot of men’s private pictures and action of course, strangely some great encounters and challenging guys in the way!

She’s independent, seemed heart-cold (unless you're admitted in her crazy crew) and don’t care about what people think! She’s a badass at work, when she had to deal with three men and a complete different person at home, talking about unicorns. Yep Kat the unsocial was a very strange creature.

I enjoyed the crazy and hilarious ride! This book was a breath of fresh air, with all her description of the men she met, her inner ramblings and her obliviousness about the real thing. Her vision of life, sarcastic and a little bit angry to the world. This book could be at times trash and crude but definitely fitting!

Laughing out loud alert! Online dating has never been funnier!

Can’t wait for the next one … When things were getting steamy and interesting again … what’s next for our unsocial Kat? I hope love! Who is the mysterious man ... I want the next book!!!

“Damn he’s hard. I wonder what he looks like shirtless. No I didn’t, not even a little bit. I was just shocked. Ricoo looked beefy not...hard. At the stoplight he looks back at me. ‘Keep that shit up and I’m gonna charge you.’ ‘What the fuck are you talking about?’ His hand covers mine and that’s when I realize I maaaaayyy have been rubbing his abs.”

5 hilariously funny stars!!! This has got to be the funniest book I’ve read in a long time, my stomach still hurts!

This is seriously one of THE best books I’ve read in a very long time!! I’m officially in love with Kat and I think she may be my spirit animal!!! She’s everything I am, a take no poo, tattooed, unsocial girl. I swear I was crying from laughing so hard, maybe almost peed my pants a little!! This book is seriously so good and so hilarious! I received this book for an honest review.

This story is told in 2 parts. The first novella of the book I really liked. We see out bada$$ Kat falling in love with a guy. I, like her, really loved Owen and thought that entire book was going to be about them. When the novella ends we can finally see the real Owen and her relationship plus what it does to our Kitty Kat for the rest of the book. Kat’s walls are up in super high and will not be broken for anyone. I have to admit I gave that a 4.5 rating. I loved the storyline.

The main story begins and Kat is now 4 years after her and Owen’s relationship. Kat is cold and hardcore to people she doesn’t know or trust. She is uber loyal to the few people she lets in. Kat is one hardcore chick who doesn’t put up with anyone’s crap. PERIOD. Kat does and says what she wants when she wants and how she wants. If you don’t like it, she has a special finger to show you.
The only person who can get under Kat’s skin in her mom, Carrie. When Carrie shows up and is going to stay with Kat a few weeks we see her world start to go crazy. She discovers her mom is online dating so Kat agrees to help her mom navigate this world by joining as a joke.

We see her stumbling through being NICE to guys on dates and being KAT to the guys who talk to her online…until @Rider1 start to talk to her and even challenge Kat. I THINK I have a feeling about @Rider1 but I will keep my opinion to myself about him. We also see Kat’s friend Ricco challenging Kat about her life and her decisions. Her mom and friends are trying hard to find her someone to make her happy because they feel Kat is missing love in her life.

I liked the story but felt it was a slow read. I think the final 13-15% of the book had me really flying because I wanted to know about @Rider1 and also about the man who was challenging Kat at the end. He was making her think about things and wonder if maybe she is more open to a relationship then she previously thought and maybe he might be the guy for her….???? The end had me cracking up and I am defo going to “tune in” in June for the next installment because I need to know how what the heck happens.

If you like feisty, larger than life heroines, you have to read this book! MJ Fields brings us the story of Kat, a women who has been hurt so deeply by men in her life, she puts up walls to make sure none of those nasty "feelings" ever take root in her heart.

But, Kat has a secret. Her outside persona does not match her "house" or close friend persona. To the world she is tough, dark, tatted, no f%cks given. At home, she is Wine Wednesdays with her besties, unicorns and glitter. When her mom shows up unannounced to stay with her, cracks start to show up in that rock hear shell around her heart. Could there be more to life that quick one night stands?

There is so much humor throughout the book. The whole premise around on line dating and the crazy text/messaging that happens when people can hide behind a screen with no filter. The banter between Kat and her friends and even with her mom was priceless. Laugh out loud snorting at some points!

So 4.5. I had to take some off because there is a cliffie. And it's an awkward doozy of a scene to leave us hanging on, dang it! I was surprised by the turn of events in the last 15% of the story. Kat's ongoing flirting with @rider1 leads to more self examination about where she wants to go with her life. And then Friday night happens and holy sh*t! I need to know what happens next!!!

Best part of the story: a little Mama Joe time. If you follow this author, you'll know what I mean. Love that woman to pieces!

So grab this one now or wait until June 7th for the rest of the story. Overall fun read!

I seriously laughed the whole time I read this book. It was a great read with lots of tricky emotions. On one hand I wanted Kat to find her man and bang it out. And on the other I enjoyed the randomness of her dates. She truly is a force to be reckoned with. There is a little cliffhanger at the end so I am so glad the wait for book 2 isn't long. I have to know what happens.

Kat is a complex woman. She gives no fucks and I love that about her. She is definitely the chick you'd see out somewhere giving someone the bird and laughing about it. Although she's complex she's also sweet as hell. In her own way. She loves her sister! Which being honest I wanted more of them together. Just so I could have more to read. She also loves her friends. Enough so that she let's them set her up a match dating site to see of she can find love. Only Kat follows through with this to prove its all bullshit. She doesn't believe in love. And she damn sure isn't wanting it.

Ricco... damn that man is fine! I fell for him insanely. I am seriously pulling for the guy! Although he's not one to settle he loves hard. Just not many people. Plus he rides a bike. Ummm hello!!!! Who wouldn't want that? I sure as hell do!

This book was great! MJ doesn't disappoint as usual. The book flows effortlessly and the characters are amazing. So freakin ready for the next book to see what happens!!!

Jaded and alone but dealing with it with a wickedly tough as nails attitude Kat is my hero! Her life spirals when her father passes but she hicks up her nicker and moves forward. She has mommy issues, but she deals with it the best way she knows how... closing her self off. Making her harder than before.
Then the one time she opens up a tinny tiny bit.. Wham she get dealt with the reality of most men. I won't even say it, because you know what I mean. But this book is not about surviving, no it is about learning and growing and becoming aware of who you really are and not the mask you wear.
Kat, is an enigma to herself, even though she blames the Mom-ster, that she loves dearly. She is learning that every one deals with their baggage differently, that masks come in all shapes and smiles.
Did i like reading about Kat and her awesome ways??? Hell yes!
Do I love, Love Love Ricco? THAT IS AN EVEN BIGGER HELL YES!!! Did I get the ending I wanted.... NO! I have to wait till June for more of Kat & Ricco and yeah find out if he really did ask Kat demands in the end of the this book.
Funny, sexy and dirty doesn't even begin to describe this hysterical read. I give this book 10 Stars!!!

Have you ever had a girl crush? Well, I found mine while reading this book. I definitely want to be like Kat when I grow up and I want to date her man. Yes, this is a 2 for 1.
Kat is independent, practical, irreverent, doesn’t like people and, most important, you better be prepared, because she doesn’t take sh*t from anyone! She’s also talented, hard worker and a loyal friend which makes her interesting as hell.
When her overbearing mother shows up unexpectedly for an extended stay, Kat’s world is turned upside down and we follow the developments of their strained relationship one hilarious setting after another including our very antisocial heroine joining the same dating website as her Mom-ster. That, combined with nosey friends and a very sexy coworker, is the recipe for all kinds of fun inducing situations.
Match This! is definitely a hit. It’s a short read, nicely paced, full of comedic language and situations, with strong characters that will make you laugh even during the raunchiest parts of the book. I loved every word that came out of Kat’s and Ricco’s mouths, their personalities, the sizzling chemistry between them and EVERY.SINGLE.FLIP.OF.THE.FINGER.

5 Stars!

Oh the love of another masterpiece by the amazing MJ!! This book was brilliant. Once again, MJ Fields delivered a stellar book that hooked me from the very start and I didn't put this book down until I devoured it all and by the end, I was desperate for more

Alright, get the tissues because you'll need them but not the way you think you will at all. This book was funny, funny, funny. Oh the laughs.... you will smile, giggle and blush right until the very last word (... I know I did). You will meet Kat... total lady boner for her.

Match This! was everything I expected a rom-com to be and maybe a bit more, surpassing my expectations. This book was a quick read and the perfect mixture of sexiness, sweetness, passion, laughs, fun, and good times all rolled into one perfect book.

This is the beginning our girl Kat's story but definitely not the end. Online dating profiles? Keeping a check on mom? Sassy, outspoken, and strong chick? Sounds simple enough. What starts out something else... turns into something so much more.

I highly recommend this book.

What did I love most about Match This! Kat, not Katherine, Kat! She is sassy, funny, a take no prisoner type of girl, and makes no apologies for it. Having read the novella, I know why she is like it. But what I also suspect, is deep down she has a softer side, she just needs the right man to bring it out.

Kat is an artist at a Tattoo parlour that she runs for the owners with Ricco. When Kat's mum comes for a visit, it throws things into a spin for Kat. Her mum knew she was an artist, but thought it was the painting kind, and had no idea about the parlour or the ink on Kat's body. Surprises come to both of them throughout the book, where mum and daughter bond over a dating website, with Kat helping her mum get back out there. One of the funniest moments in the book was when her mum found Kat's peen collection, definitely awkward, but very funny! There are more LOL moments with Kat's BFF's and her dating disasters.

This book does end on a bit of a cliff hanger, but with the next one now released, you can go straight into reading what happens up in that bedroom! I know I sure want to.

4 stars out of 5

This is a very light and easy story that made me very happy that I don't have to do the whole internet dating thing. It almost reads like a warning to anyone about to take part in what is becoming a very popular way of meeting people. If these stories are true, then wow, that's scary. It was a funny intro, for me, to her style of books and I am definitely interested in seeing what happens next with Carrie and Kat.

Though this definitely ended in a tease, I put the book down thoroughly entertained. I laughed out loud at some of the comments that I am assuming are not too far fetched and I definitely cringed as well. So skeevy. The chemistry was palpable between Ricco and Kat though I do wish that I learned more about him. I hope that changes in the next book.

I do not personally know anyone who has had these experiences, but I know they happen. I thank MJ Fields for writing it for me and I look forward to reading more.

4 Star Review
This book is so funny and if you like larger than life women who have no filters on their mouth this is the book for you.
We met Kat previously in Men of Steel she works in the tattoo shop but you don't need to read that series to enjoy this new duo of books from MJ Fields. Kat doesn't suffer fools, she tells it as it is, she is not interested in relationships that is until her mom comes to stay and she signs up to a dating website to show her mother how online profiles should be done.
Kat has two personalities the bad ass girl at work and the girl drinking wine with her best friends. The guys from the tattoo shop have quite a shock when they turn up uninvited to her girls wine night. I don't want to give to much of this story away but I will say its hilarious and I cant wait to see where Kat is going with her life.

How Can You Describe Kat in One Word You Can't.
She is the Foul Mouth, Trash Talking, Tattoo Artist Who Says It Like It Is And If You Don't Like It Then It Is Your Loss Because She Truly Is Fantastic.
Kat is loyal to her friends her co-workers but when it comes to relationships that's a no go. But who might change her mind is none other than her Momster.
With changes to her Mom's life she signs herself and Kat up for on-line dating and that is where the fun begins.
Seeing what's out there will make you laugh out loud with her descriptions of the men she meets but sometimes what your looking for could be right in front of you.
If you are looking for a book that will have you laughing out loud then you don't want to miss what MJ Fields has written.

THIS BOOK ENDS ON A CLIFFHANGER!!
I hate it when the blurb and the title both fail to mention the book IS NOT A STANDALONE.
When it happens I feel cheated è_é
I had already read 16% of it when I found out and I'm not AT ALL happy about it.
I'm not thrilled by what I've read so far.
Kat and Owen's first time was wrong on so many levels...
I've enjoyed my fair share of heroines that are out of the ordinary, without a filter, awkward and even a bit crazy but I'm not sure I'll warm up to Kat.
I'm not ready to drop this book yet but I'll try to pick it up again when the story is complete.
I avoid cliffhangers like the plague...but I often stumble upon them like it happened this time. Grrrrrr ~.~

Totally adore this book. The cover drew me right in then so did the blurb. But this book is so fresh and funny and also romantic. The main character Kat is like my sister spirit, her life was very different until a douche bag man got in the way. Now she leads a life i envy and in many ways me and Kat are so similar lol. As she enters the world of dating in the present via the internet and phones the fun and hilarity ensues and so does the sizzle. This is a great fun romance book, that is fresh and a brilliant read to anyone out there wanting to see how dating is now, sometimes in the extreme lol. I recommend this book so much, you will adore it

What happens when a badass tattoo artist's mom wants to move in with her for a few weeks? Nothing you let her move in! This is a awesome, amazing, kickass story written by MJ Fields of a young woman who was brought up a certain way and after she was able to be on her own 'she broke loose!' Hell Yeah! I want to be like Kat! The book is a amazing read, about online relationships but how you keep on going till you find the right one (not Alvin the chipmunk either LOL). I swear Kat is awesome she is a tough cookie that loves to flip off the world, but behind closed doors she likes wine and Unicorns....

Can’t wait until the next book!!! Kat is sassy, tough, up front, takes no crap & is confident about herself except when it comes to relationships. She wants to avoid relationships after watching her mom with her 2nd marriage, after her dad past when she was young. Love the name that she uses to reference her crazy mom, Momster. This story is laugh out loud funny from her girlfriends, to the guys from her work & how she deals with her mom. Read & reviewed for an honest opionion by RazzReader with Pop Fizz Clink Read
