Wanita May grew up in the fruit belt of Ontario - St.Catharines. Crazy-happy childhood, she always has had a vivid imagination and loads of energy.
The youngest of six -- four older brothers, and a sister -- taught her at a young age to be competitive in all aspects of life.
At sixteen, she began competing in athletics (track and field) and before she turned seventeen, she was representing Canada in high jump. She continued to compete, breaking Canada's JR High Jump record (1.92m - 6' 3 1/2" for those metric-ly challenged). She attented University of Toronto, and Kansas State University - winning CIAU's and becoming All-American 6x - NCAA Indoors Runner Up + more.
But you're not interested in her athletic career - unless of course you're curious to know she stands 1.70m (5'7") and has jumped 20cm over her head on more than one occassion. She's represented Canada at the World Championships, World Jrs., won Francophone Games, and loved every minute of every competition. From the grueling workouts, the crazy weights she lifted on her back, the days she thought her lungs were going to spit out of her mouth for lack of oxygen, the travelling around the world and the opportunity to read - her favourite past time.
Life continued with her husband (a distance runner from Liverpool, UK, who she met at KSU) and then their first, then second and finally third child. Their house became full of more imagination and stories.
Wanita and her husband run an online business, dealing in antiques and collectables - particularly jewelry and porcelain (one of the business' website: www.wadeincanada.com ).
After her father passed away in 2009, from a six-year battle with cancer (which she still believes he won the fight against), she began to write again. A passion she'd loved for years, but realized life was too short to keep putting it off.
Her first book, Rae of Hope - from the Chronicles of Kerrigan - will be available October 2011 by kNight Romance Publishing.
She is currently represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency. Wanita is a writer of Young Adult, Fantasy Fiction and where ever else her little muses take her.
Now, what's next for the team? You set and see the group rally together to protect the the only one that can help them, but she won't listen. Only time will tell. Can't wait for the next book.
Wow..Just WOW! This one has to be the most gripping, exhilarating, frustrating, emotionally charged book of the series so far. Gutted there are only 2 left in the main series....
I thought i wouldnt enjoy this book as much given how the last one ended and the fact that the dynamics of the dev and rae's relationship are one of the main factors driving me to read this series but i really was wrong....
I couldn't have asked for anything more from this well written, often funny, energetic, action packed, romantic rollercoaster of a series.
Meh. I'm over the whole 'Rae kissed someone else so she's the worst and everything is her fault only' crap. I can't stand Devon and just from reading the blurbs for the rest of the books/sequels/other spawns, I won't be too excited in the future, either. Gabriel almost makes trudging through the crap, worth it. Almost. I'll be putting the 16262618 other Kerrigan books on the backburner for now.
Devon has done something that when Rae touches him it burns his skin. Rae and the others are stuck in a major fight for their lives, except Rae didn't have Devon with her and the rest of the group. She didn't want him to get hurt again. Will be able to save her and the rest of the group without known where they are because Rae didn't want him to get hurt. Major twist and turns in this one just like the rest of the series and keeps you turning the page wanting more to happen....time to get onto book 11 to find out what going to happen. Get the series ASAP if you haven't ready anything by W.J. May this is a great series to start with.
Worst book of series. Ending was ridiculous - 90 year old doddering man simply walks up in slow motion and stabs superspy trained in hand to hand combat in the stomach, who just stands there and lets it happen. Whole love relationship between Rae and Devon was contrived and stupid. Rae has all these powers that her brain automatically uses as needed, but she doesn’t turn invisible, instead climbs under a bed!

It kept the plot going, so I gave it a 3, but this short (190 pages) book was more than half relationship angst between h and H, was light on action and had a big contrived tatu power at the end that didn't add up. The author has done better in previous books. The books should also have been longer.
Ummm, I am afraid to say anything because I could give away what happens, other than love the series, What is up with Devon??? And that cliffhanger, good thing next book is already out.
The stories are really fun and packed. Never a dull moment
I would recommend this to anyone that loves the paranormal. I just know my sister would also love this series and even a few of thr woman I work with. Even funnier is the fact that none of us are younger that 30
OMGosh I never saw that coming, I don't think Julian did either. Those dreams Rae were having meant something after all. Really have to see what happens next.
Suspenseful, more plots, another villain, some action, heartbreak, good characters and romance. Truly needs to edit these books the mistakes are annoying.
Nice book. liked every turns and twists in the book. There are so much things going on with Rae that i really think she need a big break and a long vacation with her friends. I thought that Victor Mallins was a good person but have different views which are like traditional beliefs but haven't thought that he was behind such a big master plan of torturing hybrids. I really hate him now . As Devon and Rae had broken up it really seems awkward or funny the way they behave with each other. They both are sad but i think Devon really needs some space as what Rae has done is not tolerable although she did it not intentionally . Wish everything will get settled between them. Going to read next Book. CAN'T WAIT!!!!
Rae knew going back to the Privy Council would be risky, but she had no idea what exactly awaited her. In her search for answers, she found them and more! She's in for the battle of a lifetime with her friends by her side! This book was nothing by thrills and rollercoaster rides! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! And the cliffhanger! Holy cow! I can't wait to read the next book! 5+ stars!
As the finale approaches, Rae prepares for the inevitable confrontation. The book is slower, with a focus on strategy, reunion, and gathering strength. Some scenes feel like filler, but the emotional maturity Rae displays is satisfying. The groundwork laid here is necessary for the final push, even if it’s less gripping.
Wow, this series just keep getting better and better. I am still in love with the characters and the storyline. I can't wait to get my head into the next book.
