I purchased this while in Savannah and after receiving a tour of the city. The book is well organized with each chapter covering one of Oglethorpe's challenges and how he dealt with them. I did not find it confusing that the chapters were not always in chronological order and I liked that the author addressed each one fully, regardless of the duration or timing. He saved all of his opinions until the epilogue. The material was obviously well researched, focusing only on Oglethorpe's settlement of Savannah. There was no material on his life leading up, and a brief summary of his life after settlement. Overall, a great book and a quick read.
This book provides a much better overview of James Oglethorpe and the founding of the Georgia Colony than Tomochichi: Indian Friend of the Georgia Colony, the other book I read on this topic.
