My name is D.C. and I'm the author of a new series currently on Amazon called Sunset Reads. The first book is based on the couple William and Cristina who find themselves fighting their urges to be with one another although a series of heated moments changes their lives forever.
I grew up in New York, I'm the daughter of two wonderful,Colombian immigrant parents. I'm a traveler, the travel bug hit me a couple years ago and my goal is to eventually see the whole world. So far I've gotten to Italy and Japan...I'm thinking Germany next. I started to write as an outlet for being bullied at school and as soon as I started I couldn't put the pen down. It was always my dream to be a published author, ever since the age of fourteen, and now at 34 I finally accomplished my goal.
I plan on continuing to write and really truly want to get to meet new readers and writers and share experiences and ideas. Being a part of forums is new to me, but I would love to get to know about the people who love to dream and create new ideas and fantasies through literature just like I do. Thank you for making me a part of your group and allowing me to join you in these amazing adventures in storytelling and reading.

I hope you enjoy reading William & Cristina’s story and continue to join me in this journey within the doors of Sunset Reads! Please sign up to my email list on http://www.dctriana.com for free giveaways, new excerpts and more on Sunset Reads upcoming new release!

I love this book! It's such a great combination of fun, sexy and dangerous. I loved every chapter and both main characters were just very likable. I admit, it took me quite some time to finish it but not because the story isn't good but because life sometimes does get in the way and we unfortunatelly can't buy time. But now that I've finally finished reading the story, I can say that I can't wait for the next book to come out.

I really like the plot. On one side we have the new part owner and CEO and the son of the previous owner of Sunset Reads, New York publishing house. He's very capable and knows how to do business. Also as a person, he comes of a bit arrogant, at least at first but once we really get to know him, he's a good guy with big heart. On the other side we have Cristina, a successful author of romance novels and now also a part owner of Sunset Reads. She's sassy, outspoken and knows how to get things done. She is also woundable, since her past relationship left her with big trust issues. It's so fun seeing those two go head to head and from wanting to kill each other to something more as the story progresses.

I like that not everything is so easy and one must fight for what he/she wants, because that just makes the story more interesting. Also, the villain is not so bad made. Of course I wanted to see him get his due at the end, but as a character he made the role of a villain proud. Also, the epilogue is quite satisfying and I must say that I'm really glad I got to read this wonderful story.

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to author D.C. Triana.)

This was an adult contemporary romance, featuring an author and her boss.

William and Cristina were both okay characters, although they really did seem to bait each other a bit. It was interesting that they were both authors though.

The storyline in this was about William and Cristina meeting and arguing quite a bit, and the author did a really good job of convincing me that this pair hated each other, to the point where when they then started kissing it seemed a bit odd! The romance in this was okay though, even if it took me a while to warm to it.

The ending to this was a happily ever after, and things seemed to work out quite well for William and Cristina.

"Sunset Reads: William & Cristina" by D.C. Triana is book one in the "Sunset Reads" series. This is also the first book by Ms. Triana. I thought Ms. Triana did a great job with her first book and so look forward to the next book in this series.
William "Will" has returned to take over his mother's Sunset Read publishing company that he inherited when she past. Slowly Will is finding out that things with his mother's will and the publishing company are not as cut and dry as he would like. Also one of the companies hottest authors is Cristina Cruz and Will is having a hard time fighting his attraction to her.
Cristina was not just the companies best selling author she was also his mother good friend. Cristina is also having a hard time dealing with his mother passing but also is going through a relationship break up. So Cristina is having writer's block not to mention fighting her attraction to Will. They both seem to be just butting heads at first but then Will starts to learn about his mother's will. Cristina is completely in the dark about the details of the will. Will finds there is a third party to the will also that he hates.
Great story that keeps you from putting this book down.

4 Stars - 3 Flames

This can't possibly be the debut book for this author. But the fact that I can't seem to find anything else, seems to confirm that fact. WOW! This was so well written, I lost track of time. This just.....flowed so nicely.

Cristina is a New York Times Best Selling author who is suffering from a little bit of writers block, thanks to her ex-boyfriend. After wasting two years of her life, she finds herself single and not willing to trust anyone. Despite her friends efforts to take her out to meet someone new, she's just not feeling it, and her writing is suffering. Little did she know that meeting the new CEO of the Publishing House she belongs to would change everything.

William has inherited the company after his Mother's unexpected death. It's not that he doesn't know what he's doing, he's studied the ends and outs of business and marketing. It's that Cristina gets under his skin so much that he doesn't know how to make things right. You see, his Mother was very clever when writing her will and there are certain "clauses" that need to be followed in order to get what he wants. But maybe, just maybe, what he wants changes in to something he actually needs.

I've laughed, cried and yelled at this book on numerous occasions. Are there surprises? Oh yeah. Are there secrets? Yes. Is there a villain who seriously needs to just GO AWAY? Yep. Is there a HEA? Duh, of course. But there's also great character building, humor and enough anticipation to drive you wild. I'm really looking forward to seeing what this author brings us next.

*I received this book from the Jeep Diva in exchange for my honest opinion.

sunset reads had me hooked from the first chapter I fell in love with the characters.
Christina and William thrown together, both stubborn and strong willed can the loss of a dear friend and mother and hidden truths bring them together to save a company they both love.
This was an amazing read that has made me laugh out loud and kept me gripped with the chemistry and sexual tension between the two.

This was a good romance novel with lots of excellent tension between the two love interests and several steamy love scenes (whew!).

William has recently come back from abroad and taken his post as the CEO of Sunset Reads, a publishing company. Cristina is one of Sunset Reads most prolific and beloved authors. Of course, the clash between these two begins immediately when Cristina, recovering from a broken heart and unable to write, asks for an extension for completion of her latest book, and William, trying to whip Sunset Reads into shape, denies her request. Both of these characters are fiery and impulsive and while both appreciate the other’s physical appearance, the book starts with them fighting and the firm knowledge on both their parts that they cannot… perhaps will not… work with each other. Of course, despite this, they are thrust together (pun intended?) when they must work together to combat corporate intrigue within Sunset Reads.

I really enjoyed the two main characters and several of the minor characters who were well fleshed out. And the ending was sweet – which I love.

The biggest downfall of this book is the editing. There are lots of comma splices (I know, I’m being such a geek!) and other grammar and/or spelling errors. But, the plot and the characters kept me interested over and above these problems and pulled me through to the end. With a good edit of this book, my rating would go up one star.

I recommend this book to all lovers of contemporary romance. Three and a half stars.

A story of lust, loving & longing..

Sunset Reads is a fabulous story of smoldering lust & heart tugging love. It's a story about vulnerable hearts, with equally vulnerable souls who have forgotten along the way how to trust & love freely without reserve.

William - oh William.. I'm such a sucker for an alpha who toys with my soul, page after delectable page. He's suffered so much loss & heartache throughout his life & even through his success & position, he still struggles with his memories of his childhood & his relationship with his stepfather. For a strong, powerful, beautiful man, he is shy, nervous & afraid to love.

Crissy is beautiful, funny, sassy & super smart, though once you get to know her, you will see she hides her pain & the fact she has lost her faith & trust in men, behind her successful career as an author. She physically doesn't know how to open her heart again through fear of betrayal & will protect her own heart at all costs.

The story flows perfectly & made me laugh & sigh so many times. As both Will & Crissy try their hardest to deny their feelings, it creates some memorable moments where I really did snicker at the scenes. It was hilariously funny in places & then quite beautifully tragic in others. The kind of tragic that makes your heart ache & the characters even more real.

I really loved this book, it captured me quite quickly & made me want to keep on turning the pages. A fab read overall..

A fun and engaging sensual read! I have a weak spot for a quick steamy read and this book was a perfect fit for my evening read. It had a good balance of intrigue and romance and didn't allow either to outshine the other. I never give away plot details sorry but I will say it was well conceived and presented and the romance fans will really enjoy this novel. I look forward to more in this series from author DC Triana.

An absolutely riveting read! I was absolutely hooked from the very beginning and just could not put this book down! I fell head over heels for the characters! Cristina was just a cute little fireball with a spunky temper, yet a completely vulnerable center. And William was a dreamy alpha male the made me swoon from the pages. Their chemistry together was so intense my kindle almost sizzled and I was chuckling to myself quite a few times at some of their hilarious headbuttings. What made this book stand out from all the rest is that it wasn't just a steamy romance book! There was quite a bit of danger and intrigue mixed in as well that had me sitting on the edge of my seat. The author brilliantly melded everything together into a delicious concoction of mystery thriller with a perfect twist of spicy romance that was a true pleasure to indulge in! This was an absolutely captivating story with REALLY likable characters that I thoroughly enjoyed and would fully recommend to all adults, even if you're not a big romance fan!

Right at the beginning, in the first few pages, the heroine had a conflict and I found myself cheering her on simply because I easily identified with her. "You go, girl!! I know how hard that is, but you can do it!!" Maybe I was somehow cheering myself they my long-forgotten memories. And she almost immediately runs into a super hot guy? I love the way she stands up for herself. No one said that was going to be easy. It's exciting to read how her feelings unroll.

I found my self reading this book every single chance I had - waiting at the dentist's office, before bed, after bed, wherever and whenever I had a couple minutes. This book was always on my mind. I had to read it. I had to find out what was happening next. I read the kindle version so it was always on my phone, always with me. Fortunately, I always had access to it.

The gently escalating tension between Will and Cristina reminded me of my own past loves. However, this romance unfolds much nicer than my romances did. The author articulates this in a very gentle and loving manner.

I highly recommend this book. It's a beautifully written romance that really fulfills the reader, and lightens their day.

Sunset Reads is the touching love story of William and Cristina who both work at the same publishing company in downtown Manhattan. Cristina is a sassy young romance novelist and William is the handsome CEO of the publishing firm that his mother built from scratch. As the story begins, Cristina is struggling to move on after having had her heart broken by ex-flame Jake. She has all but sworn off men, preferring to come home at night to the company of her little dog Obi.

description

Swoon-worthy William, who has spent several years in the military, has now returned to New York to run his family's publishing firm after the untimely death of his mother, Isabel. Although Cristina is quite taken by the striking blue-eyed William, she is quickly turned off by his cocky bold attitude.

description

Right from the start these two strong-willed individuals continuously butt heads although throughout the reader can feel the sexual tension building between the two. As the story unfolds there emerges some hidden secrets involving Isabel's will that William learns about from Isabel's lawyer and trusted confidant, John. Enter Christopher, William's powerful but sinister stepfather who now threatens not only the company he loves but also his budding relationship with Cristina.

Sunset Reads flowed perfectly from the start and I enjoyed the bits of playful banter that was peppered throughout. I'm a sucker for an angsty romance along with some hot sex scenes and this book had plenty of both. This story is so well-written that had I not been told ahead of time that this was the author's debut novel, I never would have guessed it. I'm hoping that Sunset Reads is the first of many from this talented young writer. Kudos Ms. Triana for this extremely well-written romantic page-turner!!

I enjoyed my time reading Sunset Reads by D.C. Triana. It is one of those books that hits all the right buttons for me—a good romance, a little mystery/tension, and lovely characters.

Sunset Reads is about the new owner of the publishing company, Sunset Reads, William Jameson and Cristina Cruz, their top author. William is forced to step in as CEO after his mother, Isabel, and beloved owner’s sudden death. He sees that changes are necessary to bring the company into the twenty-first century. He also needs the staff to recognize him as the owner and not the playboy son.

Cristina is the top author and William’s mother’s favorite. Isabel mentor’s Cristina over the years and loves her like a daughter. However, after her death, Isabel has strict deadlines placed on her and additional responsibilities that make her question if she even wants to stay at Sunset.

The relationship between will and Crissy is explosive in every way. There is an immediate attraction. They are both eye candy, intelligent, and fun. On the flip side, they are both, passionate, opinionated, and neither is willing to bend. From their first meeting they start off on the wrong foot, and it continues from there.

The story is fast paced with real characters. The way the relationship develops is perfect and believable. William’s evil step-father makes and appearance that helps build the working relationship. There are secondary characters introduced with just enough intrigue to make the reader look forward to the next book in the series.

I will sum up by saying take a chance on Sunset Reads. D.C. Triana does a good job taking the reader into the world of publishing with a little something for everyone.

Sunset Reads: William and Cristina is the first book in the Sunset Reads series and apparently it is the debut book by DC Triana, which surprises me because it certainly doesnt read like a first attempt at anything.
The story follows Will and Cristina - who start off absolutely hating one another to the point that it was almost a bit awkward when they first got a bit intimate together. A little backstory if you please - Will's mother owns a big publishing house but she has recently passed away. Will has come home to take it over. Cristina is one of the authors working there and also one of Will's mother's friends. She is upset over the loss of not only her friend but she suffered a relationship breakup and has writers block.
I really enjoyed the push-and-pull angst of the relationship until it got to be a little too much and I wanted to just say 'enough already'. Im a total sucker for a happy ending and I will say that I love the way this book ended. There were a few blips in the grammar/wording/editing area of the book but nothing that took away from the story as a whole in my opinion.
I thought the story line was really well thought out. I liked the idea of the authors coming together to save the publishing house from the third party in the story - GAH, he was evil. There were tense moments, lots of sexy time.. (yay!) and a lead up at the end that makes me think I know who the next book is probably going to be about. :)

A free copy of this book was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.

This book is not the genre I would normally read but what a surprising read. I loved it from the first page and could barely wait for some free time to finish it.
This story is centred on Sunset Reads, a publishing house with a good track record but lagging a bit behind the times. The arrival of the new CEO, William, seemingly sparks panic and turmoil throughout the business but has a different sort of effect on a well-known writer, Cristina. Their initial introduction to each other does not go well but provides some astonishing entertainment to both the staff of the publishing house, as well as the reader.
The characters are well developed, both with a history of painful loss and both with strong personalities, which makes for some memorable and dramatic interaction in the office. Their meeting each other throws their lives into turmoil, in both the personal and professional arena. A loss they discovered was shared, ties them to each other in unexpected ways. I smiled, laughed, cheered and gasped as each chapter unfolded and I rallied behind one or the other character, as they revealed new depths to their personalities.
I was sad to see the story end but excited to read the next instalment. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good story with equal amounts of romance, misunderstandings, fiery disagreements and an unexpected appearance of a villain.

Sunset Reads: William and Cristine is by D.C. Triana. It is a romance set in a publishing house.
Cristine is one of the major authors of Sunset Reads publishing company. After the death of the owner and Cristine’s friend, Christine is having problems starting a new book. When she approaches her agent, Adele, for an extension, she finds Adele in a terrible mood and definitely not likely to grant her an extension. The new CEO had set new rules and will grant no extensions. Crissy insists on talking to Mr. Jameson himself and ends up fighting with him. He gives her an ultimatum- a book by New Year’s or she breaks her contract. He backs her into a corner from which she agrees to the timeline. However, she has no idea for a story.
Meanwhile, William Jameson learns the full extent of his Mother’s will and now has to figure a way to tell Crissy what it says. He has to do this before his step-father manages to get Crissy to sell him her shares in the publishing house. Can he do this and still get Crissy to like him?
The plot just keeps on getting more convoluted as you read. Who is the good guy and who is the bad guy?

I finished Sunset Reads this morning and have to say I really enjoyed William and Cristina's story. This book had a really great plot that kept me interested! I think it's a great start to the series. William and Cristina find themselves co-owners of Sunset Reads- a publishing company previously owned by William's mother. His mother left a very complicated will involving a third person- William's despicable step-father. William and Cristina have great chemistry together and I love it when the H & h want to deny the chemistry they have, but everyone else can see it. It always makes for steamy scenes when they finally come together! The secondary characters were written about just enough to be interesting without overshadowing the main couple. The epilogue leads into who I believe book two will be about also. Really good read!

Sunset Reads Is a sweet read. It focuses on William Jameson and Cristina Cruz. Thrown together in the publishing world, they have to learn to work with each other. Christina is a writer and William takes over her publishing house. Both used to doing things their own way, it inevitably leads to them crashing skulls as they navigate business and their own attraction for each other.
To begin with, it is hard to cheer for Christina in this. Her willful personality and stubbornness have you rolling your eyes thinking, find someone else, William. But as her softer side appears, throughout the book, you can’t help but urge the couple on. I did find it took a while for the pair to get their act together and find their happy ending but it was still a very enjoyable read and definitely one to make you go awwwww.

I really loved this contemporary romance. It was fascinating to watch the characters develop and the intrigue really kept me turning the pages. I devoured this in one setting, rather enthusiastically I might add.

The characters were well developed and likable. I really got into the story and began to actually care about what happened to the couple. The world building was believable and supported the action of the story. William and Cristina were great together. They had a real Beatrice and Benedick type relationship. I enjoyed watching them come together.

I would highly recommend this book if you're in the mood for romance and intrigue. I'm definitely reading the next book in the series!

I received a free version of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review of this book, after being approached by the author.

I didn't know what to expect when I first started reading this book and if I'm being completely honest, judging by the title, for some reason I thought it was going to be something completely different. "Sunset Reads" reminded me and sounded like the name of a hotel or motel, so that is what I was expecting the storyline to be based around. I was definitely wrong. Wrong in a good way. This storyline is way better than I could ever have imagined.

Cristina Cruz is the bestselling author for Sunset Reads Publication's, being on the New York Bestsellers list multiples times, with oh so many of her books. William Jameson, has just become the new company's CEO, after his mother has sadly past away. William wants to shake up the company and bring it into the modern days, using technology and of course, it's number one bestselling author! He may be hot, with the most amazing blue eyes, but Cristina and Williams, first meeting isn't the best and they both have stubborn and fiery personalities. Can they get over their first impressions, hidden pasts and see what everyone can see?

Wow! This book really took me a little bit by surprise. I really didn't know what to expect when reading it as I went into reading it blind, which is something I love doing because then you get outcomes like this. Sometimes descriptions ruin the book, like trailers with movies. So this book is written and told from two of the main characters point of views, Cristina and William. It doesn't fully separate and highlight whose point of view they are telling the story from, e.g. this chapter is from Cristinas perspective and so on. It just skips back and fore in the story, from one person to the other, but it does hold onto one person for a long period of time, then switch to the next, depending on the story. I may not be explaining it well, but I really liked how this was done. It worked really well with the story and rather than having the reader wondering what William was thinking while we were still in Cristinas section of the story, I didn't have to worry because I was told. I loved it.

By doing it this way I was able to get a really good grasp on the characters in this book. Especially the main two characters. They were very strongly developed, they both had pasts that created depth within each of them. William more of a developed backround, in my opinion, as we saw further back into his life and knew the reasons for certain choices in his life, and how hard those decisions were on him, without giving away too many spoilers. We see regret after his mother dies, as he believes he should have done more and been around more, especially after we uncover their past. With Cristinas character, I was still left with some questions at the end, one in particular. Her character development was good and we get to know her as a character, her character traits and even seeing her develop as events occur. But I will explain in the storyline aspect. There were some great secondary characters that just made this book fantastic and altogether, made this book brilliant, each possessing their own personality. This even includes the character of Cristinas dog Obi, which I believe is named after the authors actual dog, Obi Wan, which I love that she put in the book and when I found out just made me smile.

The storyline of Sunset Reads was something that didn't have to be and didn't feel forced. It felt genuine and realistic. The relationships. The feelings. The reactions. Ok, it did seem a bit over the top that they did happened to meet everywhere, e.g. The house party, but that just added to the story. It wasn't just a story where the main characters feel in love with each other with "love at first sight". Like I said, there was an actual story, a story I'll try not to ruin by giving away spoilers. Now, I did say I'd explain a lingering question I had left. Throughout the book there was this thing when it came to Cristina, a past. We know from the beginning, the first chapter I think, that she had trouble with an ex boyfriend as he threaten her at a party, but it doesn't really go much more into that, unless I bypassed it without realising it. It was also mentioned that she's having a difficult time, which I assumed was because of her ex boyfriend, which was why I was waiting greatly for it to go into further detail, especially when she bumps into him again at a second party, but no more is said. Again that could have been me. It also briefly mentioned that she was the one who found the body of the deceased owner, who was like a mother to her. So this just left me with questions about her and her ex boyfriend.

The ending is well thought through and it all came together nicely. After everything that had happened throughout the book, I was glad to see the ending that there was. This is a fantastic debut novel for D.C. Triana for her first book and I definitely recommend it. There were some editing mistakes, which were nothing in comparison and very easy to ignore, which you could come to expect, but I didn’t even take them into account when it came to my rating and am only mentioning them as I promised an honest review.

*It is advertised as being an erotica book, but there isn't that many sex scenes in this book, maybe just a couple, which actually just added to the book.*

I do recommend this book and give it a strong 4 stars out of 5.

Sunset Reads have a new CEO and the head author had pull all the stops out. . . .

Cristina had a bit more at stake in the Sunset Reads publishing house than most. She was not only an author. She was now partial owner in the company. Coming face to face with the new CEO turns her world around. She and the new CEO have some moments that turn the world around. The two together were fun and sexy. The step father was just a bit shy a full tank. There was flirty fun, sexy encounters, determined danger.

This book was recommened to me by a few people on my reading group. I have to say that I enjoyed it. I got to it and enjoyed it enought to get the next book in the series. I want to know where Sunset Reads go. I enjoyed this author.

This book was a refreshing change for me. What appealed the most to me was that it was a story in which the main female protagonist was a writer. I love reading stories that depicts the lifestyle of an author and this book scores full in that category.
Coming to the story, Cristina is a famous romance writer who is suffering with writer's blog post catching her boyfriend cheating on her with some model and the death of her dear friend ( William's mother). But back then she wouldn't have met William and she meets him when he comes to his mother's publication house ( Christina is one of the renounced authors working for the same publication house), Sunset Reads as the new CEO. Their first meeting is very interesting, post which though he finds him very hot, she finds him extremely arrogant and cocky after he gives her a deadline to finish her new book.. And on the other hand, though William finds Cristina attractive he describes her too be too fiery and short tempered. Thus begins their love-hate relationship. Add in some legally binding contracts, shares of the company, and evil step-father, you have a well balanced story.
For me ( on a personal note) this story was along predictable lines. There was nothing unique as such about it but that doesn't mean it was bad. It was nice, simple and an entertaining read. The sex scenes are a delicious highlight and definitely stands out. They are passionate and very artistically written without being too graphical. The other notable thing about this book are the secondary characters namely Adele(chief editor for the company and a dear friend of William's mom) and also Alyssa ( Cristina's friend) and Henry ( Cristina's brother) . They are really supportive and play important roles.
What didn't work for the book is re-entry of Jake ( her ex bf) and his new gf which didn't serve much of a purpose and didn't add much to the storyline. At places I felt there is drama just for the sake of it. Again not necessarily a bad thing, it depends mainly on reader's preference. Towards the end, everything seemed to fall into place and it was little too convenient for my liking.
Coming to the characters, I didn't become a great fan of either of them. Cristina's actions especially in the beginning towards William is kind of annoying. There is no solid reason behind her short temper. He is her boss so at the end of the day she should obey his words. William is brooding one minute and the other minute he becomes a gentleman. He is not moody but I can't actually describe his traits with proper adjectives. But towards the end, they change and I like them then. I wouldn't call it insta-love but somehow they are drawn towards one another. Their chemistry is good . Their actions though at times are understandable they are not wisest decisions either. The writing is really good but I think it's the story that could have been improvised.
The author has done a good job overall and though it might not be perfect, it is still a fun and nice read.

Can hate turn into love?

Cristina has the life most women would want for themselves: beautiful, successful, working in what she loves and from home - in New York. Despite the fact that, as any other women, she could not be happy or productive in her dream job because of a heartache. And not simply a heartache from a disappointment with her ex-fiancé, but a true hole in her heart for finding him in her bed with another women one day after he had proposed to her. So now, despite all her achievements so far, Cristina had lost her faith in love, in men and could not find inspiration for writing her so successful romances.

One day she gets to the office and finds out the new CEO is there; a very overbearing and rude man, whose attitudes would be the trigger point for bad attitudes from her side, and for her to show him her worst temper. Also, through him she will find out she is connected to Sunset Reads more than she could ever expect to be, what will turn her life upside down in a matter of weeks.

When I think of romances, I always remember of the first romance book I read in my life (which was "The Lion's Shadow", from Elizabeth Hunter, and I confess I was in love with Marco Andreotti for a few years! lol). Now, reading "Sunset Reads: William & Cristina", I must say that Will reminded me very much of Marco; determined, tough, but extremely charming. This books drives us through a not-conventional romance, although some parts of it are indeed cliché (but I am not aware of a romance that does not have a couple of clichés), and it has a short thriller within it, what makes us not want to stop reading it!!!

It was definitely a page-turner, and I would recommend it to all of you who are romances fans, as well as for those who want to have a comfort reading this summer.

**4.5 Book Writing Stars**

Do you know how sometimes you get into a story, and you wish that was your life? Everything you have ever hoped for all wrapped up in a pretty cover? Well, this book was THAT for me. I wanted to be Crissy more than anything in the world.

Crissy is a 30 year old famous author (that’ll be me soon), who recently got out of a terrible relationship (Seriously, I wanna punch that jerk in the face). She also recently lost her biggest supporter and her pseudo mom. With everything going on in her life, she hasn’t been able to write a single word. But when the new boss takes over and demands the impossible, can she handle working with and for the impossible man?

What I wouldn’t give to have a man like William. He may be a pompous jerk at times, but once he loosens up, he is everything a girl could ever want. And the two of them together? Explosive! In more ways than one!! I’ll be honest, the ONLY reason it didn’t get 5 stars is the pace slowed down for me towards the last 15% of the book. But other than that I loved the plot and the entire story. It was a great read that I would surely recommend to my friends! Nice Job Triana!

A fantastic book with love, lust and passion. I thoroughly enjoyed the book which captivated my attention from the beginning.

William is the new CEO of Sunset Reads but can he keep his fiery temper down enough to see the true beauty in front of him?

Crissie has been writing romantic novels for years but when the new CEO makes her work to strict deadlines: will she crumble or deliver under the pressure?

Neither is looking for a relationship: but will their strong tempers ignite fires of passion between them?

Will Isabel's final wishes cause unexpected consequences for both William and Crissie?

I absolutely loved the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the characters: both were fiery yet strong but most importantly neither was overbearing. The author did a fantastic job balancing these two characters. The bantering between Crissie and William was entertaining and funny and I couldn't stop laughing/smiling throughout. The chemistry between these two was intense and passionate - and their strong tempers added the fuel needed to get the fire started.

I liked the narrative: it was innovative unique and refreshing. This was a fun read, from start to finish, and it included both of their POV - what more could you want? I would definitely recommend this book.

The author provided me with a copy of Sunset Reads for an honest review.

Bestselling romance author Cristina Cruz hasn’t had the best couple of years. Reeling from the recent loss of her friend and mentor Isabel and hesitant to trust a man again after a bitter breakup two years prior, she’s now suffering from a nasty case of writer’s block. Adding insult to injury, the new CEO at her NYC publishing house is “the most rude, arrogant, good looking SOB” she’s ever met! Of course the feeling is mutual, and William Jameson finds Cristina to be perfectly infuriating. Alas, the chemistry between the two of them can’t be ignored, and as the sexual tension mounts, so do the stakes. William inherited Sunset Reads, Inc. from his mother Isabel but as with most inherited estates, there are several beneficiaries involved, and some are more sinister than others. Enter Christopher Moore, Isabel’s evil ex-husband. He will stop at nothing to get his claws on his share plus a little extra. Will he succeed in tearing apart William and Cristina’s happy union?

William and Cristina’s push-and-pull relationship ambles on to an intelligent climax, a satisfying ending and a nice epilogue that is likely a harbinger of the one of the next book’s plot lines. D. C. Triana creates down-to-earth characters that are interesting and believable and handles the challenging feat of multiple viewpoints rather seamlessly. Sunset Reads was a nice beach – or spa! – read.

4.5 Stars
I have to thank the author for kindly asking me to review this fantastic book.
I completely fell in love with Cristina and Williams relationship in sunset reads and also with the way D.C Triana writes. The characters were strong and well written with fantastic personalities.
Cristina loves being an author she gets to work when she wants without the pressure of being in an office all the time but that all changes when she finds that her dear friend left her with part ownership of the publishing company. This also means she has to work alongside William, she doesn’t want to be attracted to him and wants nothing more then to give up her share of the company but the inheritance comes with clauses. When Williams step father comes knocking it turns out she might need William more then she thought.
William’s all set on making his mothers company the best it can possibly be even if it means upsetting the company’s fiery bestselling author. He soon discovers the terms of his mothers will and who the two shareholders are one he can’t get out of his head the other he wants out of his life for good. Can William and Cristina save the company and have a relationship or will William’s stepfather prove to much.
Sunset reads is definitely a must read that I couldn’t put down.

Cristina is a best selling romance novelist having a hard time, heart broken after she found her boyfriend of two years cheating and now he's being even more of a douche nuggets by not understanding why she wants nothing to do with him, she's also dealing wth insomnia and writers block.
William Jameson is the new CEO of Sunset Reads publishing house and Cristina's new boss.
He's also her mentor's son, published author himself, and a hunk.
Sparks fly from these two from their very first meeting.
She doesn't like that he issued her a deadline for a book that hasn't been written and he doesn't like that she so easily gets under his skin.
I like the back and forth between the two, it's like they feed off each other.
When they learn that she has been left shares in the company and must help run it she digs in and Will helps her. They can only fight the attraction for so long though.
With danger from a outside force they become closer.
Will wants to do right by Cristina and his late mother and I think he accomplishes that, and I think his mother would be very happy to see the two of them together.
The side characters are good and I can't wait to read more about them.

Story based around a publishing company, an a will tying things up in a complicated way and no get outs. William is the son of the owner, after her sudden death he returns to run the company with the help of his mothers long term helper. As the terms of the will gradually come to light and the main author is dragged in so the mystery and threats become deeper. This is a good story with plenty to hook you in and hold your attention, there is a few sparks at the start leading to attraction. The two main characters are both strong willed and it takes understanding and patience to get to a place where they start working together for the better of the company, later on for themselves. For Christina, she has to learn to trust not only her heart but the friend she lost, with her deep grief still so new as well as the broken heart from betrayal. The sexual content is certainly hot enough to cause a few sparks of their own, it is the complexities of the mysteries of Christopher and the will that help to make this interesting and well worth reading. There is some violence and a few threats that also stop this from getting dull or boring in any way, whomever thought the publishing world could be so cutthroat and dangerous.
