Pedin Edhellen is a non-technical, comprehensive and well-known introduction to Tolkien's Grey-Elven language Sindarin and the main Tengwar modes to write it. It contains 22 lessons on Elvish grammar, each with short Sindarin texts introducing the new information, in addition to exercises and blocks with helpful information. Appendices provide tables for the most common consonant mutation patterns and a basic list of vocabulary. The course is known around the world and has been translated into many different languages.
