No no no no no just Noooooooo !!!

i don't want anyone to feel bad about having a different opinion , what i think of this book is based on my own understanding of the plot and i have so much to say about it so i'm just gonna let it out my chest.... If this book is a love story it fucking sucks , the first half of the story is about "Ari" and "Parker" they are cute couple, she loves him and he loves her too , they had plans you know traveling across the world visiting London then Italy then ...( i don't know i got bored after reading 50 pages) one day Ari receives a call and she's out the door ! she is freaking out and wanting to flee something or someone i don't know and without explanation she ran after breaking up with him for no reason !!!!!

using her parents credit card she booked a flight to London ! and used their money to travel alone to all the places she and parker wanted to visit together, Then she went to Italy where she met " Chase" and the other half of the story is her " New love" i'm like WTF ??

Parker didn't just let her go ! he wanted an explanation so he confronted her she rejected him , AGAIN ! after that all he wanted to do is find a bar and drink into oblivion then drove to his parents's house but he never made it ... he had a bad accident and next thing i know he's dead !

After parker's death , Ari moved on and lived happily ever after with "chase" ... no regrets ? no guilt ? no apologies ? Okay !

Aria can’t face what has happened to the love of her life, Parker. She heads on an adventure abroad that she and Parker had always dreamed of. She also struggles with living in her brother’s shadow and what dreams were actually her own before she tried to live his out. While on her vacation/runaway she falls for another guy named Chase Porter, a photographer who says and does all the right things.

"Is it weird that I feel this way after such a short time? It’s like I’ve known you my whole life."

description

The story is of self-discovery, forgiveness and love. It’s interesting as a whole even though for me Chase was written way too sappy and he constantly sounded like an inspirational quote calendar.

”I could hold you forever. I could kiss you every day until the end of eternity. Love is infinite, Aria. Embrace the endless possibilities of what this could become.”

description

The story’s execution did wane as the sightseeing with Chase got to be a bit too much but when the truth is revealed Aria must face the sad reality at home in the end. I think there were several things that pulled this book from a 5 Star rating especially all the flowery writing which did have me rolling my eyes. Still the story as a whole was very creative and I’m interested to see what the author creates in the future and will be tracking her future books.

“Failure isn’t the end. It’s actually the beginning of your next try.”

5+ stars!!!

This was my first time reading Ava Harrison and I can promise you it will not be my last. She sucked me in with her writing and the story told was a beautiful coming of age, finding and forgiving yourself, accepting love and one hell of an adventure.

Ava's writing is a step above the norm. She is so descriptive of the surroundings that it truly makes you feel as if you are there. I walked the streets of Italy, I sailed from port to port, I smelled the sunflowers, I drank the champagne, I saw the most gorgeous sunsets. And if her writing is not descriptive enough for you to feel like you are right there, she did an awesome first for me and tied an Instagram account to the book, prompting you at times to go see pictures that suck you even more into the journey!

Aria is lost. She sets out on a soul searching adventure. That is how she meets photographer, Chase Porter. "You're seeing the world, and you don't even have a compass?" After deciding to tag along with Chase, they embark on a journey of new beginnings. But they both have secrets. And when those secrets are found out, the new self Aria has found falls back into the hole of despair and grief.

One of my favorite things about reading is getting lost in the story, having a million different emotions and my nerves getting completely wrecked. Ava Harrison did not disappoint!! I love that every scenario I had in my head was not true. I love that for all my guessing and contemplating, I still didn't get it and I was completely thrown for a loop with the twist Ava wrote. (I love you, Ava...I hate you, Ava)

I laughed, I swooned, I second guessed everything, I was nervous, I dreamed about it, I fell head over heels in love, my heart broke, I cried (actually, I bawled), I yelled and talked to the characters and I felt so much pride and joy for the new liberated Aria! This book had it all! ALL OF THE FEELS.

I 100% hands down recommend this book and I cannot wait for more from this author!

Aria Bennett has a tendency to run from her problems, which cases major misunderstandings and problems in her life. She's running from Parker stone, whose heart she broke. Runs straight to Italy where she meets chase who helps her out of her depressive state and helps her find happiness again.
But he is not who he seems to be and there's twists in the story that surprise you.
There are too many hypotheticals and rhetorics in the book. Too much description of places and inner monologue which is repetitive.

Oh my. Well this book was 100% unexpected – in the best of ways!

This was my first experience reading Ava Harrison and when I was offered a chance to read to review, I read the blurb, checked out the cover and said YES!

Through Her Eyes is told in three parts; Inhale, Exhale and Breathe and these segments fit the story perfectly. We slowly get to know Aria as she takes herself on a journey of self-discovery after making a choice that changed her life forever. Running away was the easy part – finding herself proved to be much more difficult.

I can’t tell you much about the plot of this story without giving away too many things; so this review will be a bit vague. But as Aria remains stuck between her past and her present; I wasn’t quite sure yet if I was ready to make the leap. I was falling in love with the pieces of Parker through memories and Chase was flawless as he led her on the adventure of her life.

I admit that I held myself back and when I finally got sick of it, I may have abused the search feature on my Kindle and input a few names. But I realized that although I hate those urges, I needed to do it. I needed to be able to let go of the guessing and feel.

And let me tell you about the feels. This book is packed with them. From the little messages in the postcards, to the way Chase saw her. Truly saw her. And then when IT happens, I felt everything that Aria had felt from page one, all at once. It was a flood of emotions and I could not avoid it crashing into me.

I did not expect this story to be this BIG. Being that this was my very first experience reading Ava Harrison, if this is the type of writing I can expect from her... I am now a fan.

It was complex, with developed characters you easily connected with. It was gripping, emotional and the story instantly pulls you in. I can’t wait to devour her other books!

I found this book very beautiful but it isn't exactly a love story. It's about regret, finding yourself, overcome your weaknesses and go beyond your comfort zone. It's about to stop being afraid and start living.

About the plot: Aria thinks of herself as a toxic girl. Her brother Owen died when they were kids. She blames herself for it. Her relationship with her parents also isn't the best. Her mother had always seen only Owen and he was the pride and joy of her parents. The person who helped her get through it, is Parker, her brother's best friend. Aria for many years was in love with him, but they were just friends. He was for her the most important person in the world.

“I can’t remember what my dreams were before I started living the reality that was meant for someone else.“

One day they had a big arguments, after which the accident happened, and her whole world fell apart. Aria blamed herself again and this time there is no one who could help her. She decides to go on a trip to Europe, a trip that was planned over the years with Parker. She wants to atone for her guilt and find herself again. It was during this journey she meets Chase Porter.

“We all have different journeys to fulfillment. Maybe this will be yours. Come with me? I got you.”

Final thoughts: This whole journey is beautiful. She visited a lot of places mainly in Italy. And then flows boat with Chase around different islands such as Ponza, Capri, Positano. Just look at the photos of these places. It is absolutely beautiful. There is a lot of descriptions of places and sightseeing, but they aren't exaggerated. As for me the right one. You can be dreaming and want to plan your own trip.

“Cheers to the ones who cross our paths, the journeys we take, and cheers to the people who come into our lives, even if only for a brief moment to teach us something about ourselves.”

When I realized what this was all about, because yes, we have a twist here, I was very excited about where this is going. Unfortunately, when their love story should develop book is a little weaker. But only if you read to the end, you can understand everything and get to know all the answers. I have to admit that I was greatly disappointed with sexy moments, even pissed off, because I'd like them to be just as good, so if I would evaluate the same love story my ranking would have to be much lower. But this book is about something more.

“He makes me believe in more. He makes me believe in hope. When he’s around a calm falls over me. He gives me peace.”

The thing is, it is a very inspiring book. I found many fragments very close to my heart and highlight a lot of quotes that simply inspire me. But somewhere it is close to me and I think that I even needed it. But despite that sometimes there are too many of them. I wondered if they really need non-stop speak like that? Therefore, thinking about it, on the one hand, I completely in love and second, I know that it has a weak moments. Finally, I don't care because it inspired me to travel and also to find myself as well. And I guess above all, that was exactly the point.

I tend to rate a book that I really liked at 4 stars. What boosts it up to a 5 star read for me is if I feel as if everyone around me needs to be experiencing it too. That was this book.

I have never been in Aria's shoes. I have not dealt with her mistakes and difficult love-related decisions. I have, however, dealt with loss. She still grieved over the loss of her older brother, and I know the long term effects of a loss of that magnitude. She also struggles with depression, not just due to a clinical mental health issue, but because aspects of her life are spiraling out of control. I also related strongly to that downward spiral, and the unhealthy ways she dealt with it. Her story was told in a way that made me feel like I was in her fog of depression, which was in a way depressing, because it pulled me under with her. It made her glimpses of hope seem just the sweeter for it, however.

I also am not one to look for more in a story, not until I'm finished. So when there are twists, and when there are turns, I don't spend my time trying to guess. I allow myself to be blown away with the characters, and thus to feel their emotions right along with them. There were some real moments in this book, moments that sucked me in, moments that blew me away. I found myself desperately wishing I didn't have to put this book down. Sitting in the parking lot after my son's karate lesson, just another few minutes. Reading while I cooked dinner, desperately grabbing those five minutes while in a waiting room. My most important recommendation for readers of this book is to slot out a piece of time, because you will not want to put it down.

I found myself talking about the story to people who didn't even care. My husband. Hell, even my son. I needed to talk about it, and I didn't want to risk spoiling it for someone who had yet to read it and would. I have already gifted my aunt a copy, and have harassed her since to finish it so that I finally have someone to discuss it with. My second recommendation is that you buddy read it with a like-minded person. You'll want to discuss it.

I also loved the way it was made to tie-in with the previous books by this author. You'll have to read her first two works first, but then I loved them too so that recommendation isn't hard for me to make. It made this one feel all the more real to me, made it seem somehow even more personal. I ran the gamut with this one. From sorrow, to depression (not the same emotion) then to hope and despair, then to acceptance. It's hard to try to be someone you're not, it's hard to live with the repercussions of mistakes made, and it's hard to let go of control and accept that some things are simply out of yours. Sometimes, it's even harder to accept the love you deserve. Through Her Eyes captures all of that, and paints a vivid picture while doing so. ~ George, 5 stars

Inhale. Exhale. Breathe. Inhale. Exhale. Breathe in this fresh raw, poignant, gripping and breathtaking read Through Her Eyes by Ava Harrison.

#ThroughHerEyes

In this compelling and emotionally raw story, Ava Harrison takes her readers on a journey of self discovery. She has stripped down her readers to feel the vulnerability, the sadness, the fears, the loss, the happiness, the love, and the hope. With a wide array of emotions, readers are swept up and consumed with the magnitude of a heroine finding herself. And through her eyes, we are given a fresh and provocative perspective of life, love, happiness, and second chances. With her crisp and sophisticated writing, Ava Harrison douses her readers with every facets of emotions. This is a book that is meant to be read, experienced, and savored. Through Her Eyes is truly a fresh breath of air. Remember to inhale, exhale, and breathe everything that life throws at you. Experience the good. Embrace the bad. And learn from your mistakes.

I know my review might be vague for some but to truly feel and enjoy this book, one must read this and experience this journey of self-discovery. Live, experience and breathe in all the ups and downs, the twist and turns of what life has to offer and once you do then you will truly understand why Ava Harrison had this book in three parts aptly titled INHALE, EXHALE, and BREATHE.

This 288 pages book feels more like 400 pages.

A whole chunk of it is about Aria exploring Europe with his new "boyfriend". If you are going to drag the whole thing out with this road trip then might as well throw in a plot twist or two. A bunch of useless description and characters messing around

Cool cover. That’s about it if I’m being honest

Four weeks. It took these people four weeks to fall madly in love with each other. Like, “I’ll die without you love”. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m not one to judge. But the author didn’t even make it believable. There was nothing that connected me to the characters and made their “love” believable to me.

My biggest peeve about this book was the dialogue. The characters spoke immaturely and very boringly to each other. Childish, that’s the word that I am looking for.

The characters weren’t my favorite, to say the least. I didn’t like Chase at all. Point blank. He spoke in philosophical quotes that you can find on google or inspirational posters. It was very original and boring. He also really frustrated me when it came to Parker. His lack of compassion and sympathy was a huge turn off from the get go. Aria was dull and complained literally the entire time. Every single page. So, now I’m 0/2 on characters that I don’t like. Uh oh...

The book was just dull, nothing exciting happens. It was also very predictable. It could not have been over with soon enough.

Yeah...DNF at 12% because...I just didn't care about Aria. Like at all. She seemed to be a whiny mess. Wah wah Parker loves me but I can't love him (for some reason idk) and then she uses her parents money to go on a trip that she and Parker had planned together to 'find herself'. I only made it through her London experience because MY GOD she is unlikable. I LOVE London, and yet, I barely made it through her wandering around because a) she mopes and is SO melodramatic about everything b) She drinks and sleeps-that's all she does. Ugh. Also, I thought Parker was dead at the beginning and that would make a lot of sense, but he's not. He's just not talking to her because...again, why? Because she rejected him? But she does love him... I am so CONFUSED. Aria is one of those characters that I just want to shake really hard and yell 'WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM? GET IT TOGETHER!'

I was scratching my head so much that I went back to see what this story was actually about. Aannd it's about Aria and some other dude. Not Parker. So why do I care about Parker? I certainly don't care about Aria.

To conclude: DNF. Aria is dumb. This book drags. I am bowing out.

Aria is lost, she wants to be found. She has had two people in her life that believed in her, but circumstances tore them apart. After another jolt leaves her to a journey of self-exploration, Aria finds herself heading on a trip that will change her life forever.

Aria meets Chase Porter, a photographer who has Aria seeing life on a different level. Guilt eats at Aria, but she also sees her time with Chase as taking a much needed step into her future. However both have secrets that could ultimately tear them apart. Can Aria be strong enough to fight for what she wants?

This was an unusual story as with Aria you do not have all the facts. Like bread crumbs you follow Aria through her past and present. You are rooting for Aria, she has so much to fight for but first she has to believe in herself. I loved Chase, he had swagger, mystery, and a way of phrasing things that really made you think. Excellent read.

Wow...what a journey! I literally had to take a deep breath when I finished this...and honestly, I didn't want it to end.

You can tell from the first pages that you don't know the whole story. There is something simmering in the background of this adventure around the world that I just couldn't quite pinpoint. I LOVE that I was blindsided. I mean, I was trying to figure it out and I wasn't even close. Lol.

I also love the hero and heroine. They seemed very relatable to me. I'm jealous of the adventure and journey they are living. And the Instagram page was amazing. I loved getting to see that. Very special and smart by this author. It made the story all the more genuine for the reader.

So why not a complete 5 stars?? Hmm...I don't really know. Maybe because I loved the flashbacks so much that I felt a little slighted for Parker. He was so real and important. I also felt a little distance to the characters because of the secrets. Although the flashbacks let me know more of Aria, I still felt like I needed more of Chase.

This book was wonderful and I would absolutely recommend it without reservation!! It's unique and special and made me crave travel and life!! Congrats to an amazing job done by this author. I look forward to reading more of her books.

Also, this cover is amazing! I love when authors use creativity and not just a typical romance book cover.

Three simple words, yet they are the hardest to voice....

Aria, having been dealt a pretty crappy hand in growing up and even more of a crappy hand after graduating from college, learns the hard way that life isn't always about the past....its what the future holds.

This is a beautiful book that has you doing some serious soul searching in your own life. How you as a person handle the cards you've been dealt. Do you continue to wallow in the crap hand or do you move on and let the future deal you a better hand....

Very emotional, very moving, very satisfying book!!!

outstanding. amazing. beautiful. quintessential read!!
Ava Harrison pulled out all the stops for this stunning read. THROUGH HER EYES catches you into a whirlwind of emotions like a butterfly caught in a storm... beauty against an unknown destination. The saying "A picture is worth a thousand words," is embraced by the beautiful imagery Harrison captures and portrays in her words. Set mostly in Italy, Harrison writes a postcard of loss, love, understanding, growth, change, self-discovery and rediscovery. She provides a picturesque landscape for Chase and Aria's adventure of a lifetime. A lifetime to learn and express their needs, wants, fears and everything in between.
With every turn of the page, I looked forward to my next destination in this story. At times my heart wasn't sure what to expect or was afraid of where Harrison was taking it but through it all I always felt like Ava Harrison (my tour guide), would continue to show us the beauty and all the quaint forgotten sites of our adventure (love). You see, while reading THROUGH HER EYES, I felt like Chase and Aria's travel adventure was parallel to any one person's "love adventure." Love can take you to all the touristy areas (the physical attraction, great sex, calling what you have a relationship, saying 'I love you' etc.) but love can take you to places and spots less travelled (the butterflies from holding hands or catching each other's gaze, the fear of letting your first love go only to love someone else who is amazing, loving so fiercely that you have the potential to get hurt, a smile and a touch just because, and so many other things). Ava Harrison did a fantastic job in taking us to those lesser known areas of love. What an amazing and uplifting adventure I had.
I've never been on quite an adventure as this one. Harrison used photography and travel as a perfect backdrop and premise to set the story and carry it through to her last words on the page. And like any adventure, there were a few unexpected happenings but they made the trip so worthwhile. Unforgettable really.
I absolutely can't wait to go on another trip with Ava Harrison. THROUGH HER EYES left me never wanting to leave.

Hard to believe that three simple words have the power to change your life. I'm writing this review with tears streaming down my face. This story is both heartbreaking and soul healing all at the same time. An emotional rollercoaster of love, loss, forgiveness, and self discovery all rolled into one amazing book. I immediately felt connected to Aria and could almost feel everything she was going through. Chase was a breath of fresh air blowing in at just the right time.

This was a great story! A little bit of love, a little bit of heartbreak, a little bit of finding yourself and a splash of adventure!

There were a couple of twists 3/4 of the way through. You knew they were coming, but I was not 100% sure what they were. Well one I was pretty sure of, but the other... Wow!

This story will make you swoon and tear up, and even laugh a bit. A great read.

Peccato :(

This book was an utter cringefest. Chase is the embodiment of the sugar coated bullshit self help books try to sell you whilst Aria is the quintessence of everything wrong with millennialism.

Thank you so much TRSOR promotions for sending me a copy of this book! I'm thoroughly honored and grateful! <3

5 I must visit Italy as soon as possible stars!! :)

This is my most highlighted E-book ever and that's saying a lot! There are so many quotes to live by and take into much deep consideration. To have words that touch your heart enough to make an impact that inspires you to live your life more fully and i'm beyond thankful for having read this book. If you have any doubts or are struggling with something in your life no matter what it is this book really was like a wake up call in the sweetest way. Never had I have so many questions arise to ponder about my own life and where i'm currently at.

Ms. Harrison truly captures self-discovery and how finding the road leading to who you want to be is a ride that's bumpy as well as chaotic but well worth the drive. I never wanted this story to end and I felt as if I was finding myself throughout the pages. Thank you Ms. Harrison for writing this book and making me realize your past doesn't define you it's how you handle your future that does. Many hugs are being sent your way! :D

Aria Bennett was a character that I wish I could take out of a book and become real life best friends with. I loved her name! She struggled and faltered but there was always that little sliver of grit that broke through that made me really love her as a character. My heart broke for her many times and it stinks when crying is the only option to making yourself feel better. The things she went through should've made her turn into someone else entirely and it was interesting to see how that played out. Whether she decided to move forward or to stay in the past with doubt eating away her thoughts I seriously became her reader-cheerleader no matter the outcome. She was sweet, funny, and determined but most of she was human. One of my favorite heroines that I've come across in the past five years.

Chase Porter was a character that I couldn't quite figure out at first and I questioned his motives a lot. He slowly crept into my heart and has officially ruined me for any man i'll ever meet because my expectations are very much higher after reading this smirking photographer's words. I was left so enraptured by his talk of photography and how seeing the world through a lens really makes you appreciate things more. He shocked me and brought many genuinely happy smiles to my face. The way he spoke took my breath away. To say I adored him is an understatement and after reading his character I've decided to get back into photography to see the world in a clearer way.

Please stop what you are doing and go buy this book! I highly recommend this one If you've never had your eyes opened by reading a story before this one is very much for you. I need to own a physical copy of this book, there's just no way of getting around that fact. If i'm ever in a reading slump or just feeling down this is my forever go to book! Also, can I pretty please be Chase's Princess and eat dinner in Italy with him? :)

Through Her Eyes by Ava Harrison was by far my first ugly cry book of this year and I wish I could read it for the first time all over again. Aria has been dealt some hard cards in her life. She feels responsible for her brother Owens death and her parents either ignore her or belittle her for still being alive. Owens best friend Parker was always there for Aria as a shoulder to cry on or to help pick her back up. So it was no surprise that she fell for him but to her, he doesn't feel same. Parker has a friend called Everest and Aria hates him as he steals Parker from her when he feels the need but the two have yet to meet. When something big happens and Aria says what she really doesn't mean, she finally takes the trip she and Parker had planned all alone. Will she find herself on this trip across Europe or will her heartbreak and search for self discovery be too much? Along the way she sends Parker postcards documenting her travels like he does for her when he's traveling. Enter Chase and a whole new adventure. Will we secrets tear them apart forever or is Chase just the thing she needs to move forward?

Before I give a little insight on the characters I have to say the biggest thing I lobed about this book was the interactive feature with Instagram. Never have I seen that in a book but I really liked it!
Aria is a young 22 year old woman who is lost in life. After losing her brother in an accident she feels responsible for, felt she was no longer wanted by her parents. Her dad ignored her and her mom berated her by saying it should have been her and not her baby boy who passed. Arias best friend and love interest Parker is always there to pick her up and make her smile. When events happen, Aria decides to take the trip to Europe Parker and her planned alone. She seems lost and just going with the flow until Chase Porter steps into her path and they begin a whirlwind adventure of putting Aria back together piece by piece. Aria does come out stronger but the journey she takes is a long and hurtful one.

Chase Porter is a photographer who gets to travel the world for work. When he meets Aria he has a new vision for this next project and hopes Aria is onboard for his journey. Chase helps Aria pit herself back together and face her fears. Chase has a big secret and as with all secrets it gets discovered in an awful way at the most awful time. Can Chase show Aria he's the realm deal and get her to trust him again or is he going to lose her?

This story was a love story but it was not at the forefront. It was more of a self discovery book with love woven in. I cannot and will not spoil this story as in the beginning you think one way but as you move along its not what you really thought its much different. I cried as I got so invested in these characters . Wonderful job Ms. Harrison and I will be reading more from you.
