For two sisters, one summer can change everything . . .
Alex is the strong older sister—the nursing professor who knows how to take charge.
Molly is the younger sister—the newly-divorced entrepreneur who just wants to get her business, and her life, back on track.
When Alex travels to White Bass Island to help Molly run Concord House Bed and Breakfast for the summer, she expects she’ll be swooping in to save the day.
But what she doesn’t expect is a love interest who makes Alex question her independent ways, quirky guests who put her in her place, and Molly’s vindictive ex-mother-in-law who is determined to undermine Molly and Concord House at every turn.
Can these sisters save the business, their relationship, and their love lives?
Lucey Phillips lives in West Virginia with her husband, her son, an overgrown dog that loves them, and a geriatric cat that barely tolerates them. Lucey has worked as a newspaper reporter and as a nurse. She loves writing about characters who are fun but flawed. They are people who want to do the right thing, but sometimes fall short of that ideal. Most of all, they’re loyal friends who help each other through unexpected adventures.
This book was great fun to read - until the end of the last chapter. I felt like everyone's stories were not concluded. I expected more chapters.....but there were none: just questions. All of the way through, it was fun to imagine yourself at the B and B, in the little guest cottage or enjoying the community. It just ended too abruptly for me
I enjoyed this books and would've rated higher than a two except for the ending. I'm not sure it can even be called an ending because all of a sudden it was just over like the author forgot to finish it.
Cute, light read, ended like the author lost interest. One bone I must pick...the 2 old ladies and their use of every single catch phrase used in the last decade to sound hip...annoying. I'm glad it didn't take long to read it cause if it had I'd really be pissed.
I was provided this story by Reading Deals to review. The older sister, Alex, is a nursing professor and going to try and help her younger sister, Molly, for the summer. Molly has recently been divorced and Alex feels she may need emotional and physical help for the summer. Both sisters get the the way of each other love life even though they try to stay out of the others way. Relationship was well handled and would love to read more.
This is a really easy going story of love, family, and forgiveness. Phillips created characters so believable that you can almost hear them talk, laugh, and cry as you read the story.
