In NO RETURNS bargain-hunting, crime-fighting paralegal Finley Anderson Tanner gets her most difficult client ever – her disapproving mother. She’s up against a perpetrator who isn’t afraid to shoot first. Luckily she’s also up against her totally hot boyfriend Liam McGarrity. Together the duo dodge bullets and their attraction to one another as they try to unmask a blackmailer.
Ugh. I had been looking forward to another installment in this series but this was a letdown. Besides being incredibly short there really wasn't much substance. I also skipped over the sex scene. Wasn't interested and it wasn't necessary.
I also had hopes that Finley and her insufferable mother would have had some sort of breakthrough in this book but no such luck. A lot of characters in books have annoying mothers but Finley's mother borders on abusive.
I'm not sure there are any other books planned in this series but I do hope the author does something to tone down Finley's mother in the future.
I really enjoyed the FAT series. They are my favorite books. I would say the perfect combination of mystery and romance.and l but was really excited when I saw there was new book. I really wanted to like this book.but I did not the get the closure I was seeking. I felt the book was rushed and is super short. I still had questions that need to be answered. Even though they final hook up. the sexy scene made me uncomfortable. Also Come on 6 books in and Liam is still running out to do mysterious "thing". And she still doesn't have all her Rolex parts.
Such a disappointment. So short and rushed and so open ended. Hopefully another full length comes out soon. Lots of grammar and continuity mistakes, like Finley saying her mom has green eyes like her sister when in previous books she's said the only thing her and her mom have in common is their blue eyes. I love Finley tanner so I hope there are more (better written) books.
So sorry to say this was disappointing and lame. I guessed the blackmailer fairly early in the book. I typically don’t read kindle only book of a series that are usually labeled .5, an in-between book. Doesn’t spoil my much higher ratings on the rest of the series. But, I recommend skipping this one.
And I'm being generous with the OK---seriously? 78 pages? And can we skip all the filler of the sex scenes/talk? This was a fun series. But it's like the author just zipped out a few pages to keep the fans going...Ended very abruptly.
I read the Kindle version and there were some definite issues with it. Either it was condensed or the editor forgot to edit it. I've loved all the other books in this series and this had great promise, but ... So disappointed.
This book was shorter than the others and felt rushed and open ended. It almost feels like the author was bored with the story line and just wanted the book done. The series could have ended with the last book and I don’t feel I would have missed out on anything.
I was sooooo excited to see a brand new Finley Tanner book! The last one was published in 2012. Finley, as a matter of, is who started my obsession with eBay! I don't want to give away any spoilers, but Finley & boyfriend P.I. Liam are placed in quite an awkward situation when Finley's mother comes to them for help. This book has murder, mystery, blackmail, romance, & humor! The only thing missing - Tony only makes a token appearance. One can only hope that this book is just the beginning to a lot more Finley books! So many unanswered questions need to be explored.
I love Finley Anderson Tanner and have been waiting what seems like forever for a new book to come out.
This time Finley's client is her annoying Mother who is being blackmailed over a sex tape. I loved this story and I really like Liam and Finley together. After the dark last book in the series it was great to read a lighter and humorous addition to the series. I hope we won't have a long wait for another Finley and Liam book.
I love the Finley Tanner books and this one was no exception. More like a novella, this is a story involving Finley's mother who is being blackmailed. Liam is back but their relationship has not been totally worked out yet. Finley solves the mystery but the book ends without really dealing with her relationship with Liam. Hope there are future books.
A short book- and a very quick read. But it was great to finally have another Finley book and I'm hoping Pollero will follow this with more in the near future.
