Sometimes the only thing harder than redemption is love...

Derek Popovich has it all. He's a hot hockey player and owns a booming restaurant, the Slap Shot, which caters to professional athletes. Unfortunately, his off-field romances are infamous in the media, and he's growing tired of his playboy image. But when Charisma Reed begins to work with him on his restaurant renovation, he can't help but be attracted to the beautiful, sassy woman who is strangely resistant to his charms. Everyone is warning him that she's trouble, but Derek is curious about what's beneath the hardened shell of the sexy Ms. Reed...

Charisma is having the worst luck ever. Just as she's finally escaping the notoriety of her last tumultuous relationship, she stumbles into the heated breakup between the gorgeous Derek and his ex—and the photograph that shows up in the gossip rags throws her right back into the limelight. Exactly what she wanted to avoid as she struggles to put her past behind her and grow as a person. She swore she was done with professional athletes, but the hunky hockey player with the smoldering blue eyes pushes all her right buttons. Charisma just wants to finish the renovation and get on with her life, but working so closely with Derek makes him so much harder to resist...

Another great story in the Blake Saga...

Great story of forgiveness and redemption. I like how Charisma knows she is a work in progress, and she isn't afraid to own it. Looking forward to the next installment!

Love. Redemption. Acceptance.

Charisma Reed came to "a come to Jesus" moment in her life when Seth Blake defended her honor against her then philandering and abusive boyfriend, Lamont Brayer. All she wanted in her life now was love, redemption and acceptance from her family and friends. as she was determined to turn her gold digging ways around and be what she wanted, and could be, and not live her life for her mother Debra. What Charisma found out was that one's reputation follows one forever and is hard to live down. That is why she ran when Derek Popovich came around..

Derek was at a point in his life to where he was tiring of the party playboy life and wanted more for his life. He was tired of going home alone and wanted what Seth and his brother Alex had, a good woman and his own family. That is what he saw in Charisma. He saw the good woman in her and not her reputation. He just had to convince her and he did.

I always enjoy reading about the Blake and Reed families. They are such a loving and close knit family. The cat and mouse game Derek and Charisma played was so cute. I wish this story would have ended a little different but I'm guessing I'll be getting updates on this relationship in future books.

A Very Good Interracial Romantic Novel

Slap Shot ( The Blame Boys Book 14) is a very good interracial romance that earned a rating of four stars. The author did good job of continuing the Blame Boys series with the addition of Charisma's story. While working on changing her self for the better, she finds herself and a new love with a hockey player. The have a few obstacles before the finally they get to loving each other. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading good interracial romance.

LOVED IT!!! The chemistry between Derek and Charisma made for a great story.....This story made it easy for me to actually like Charisma and open up to forgiving her for some of her crazy behavior in previous books...lol......Derek has always been a favorite of mine.....Forgiveness and love was all that Charisma was seeking but first she had to LOVE and FORGIVE herself.......but with her Grandmother's and Derek help she was learning to do just that.....GREAT READ!!!

Fantastic

Love this author. Her books are always interesting and fun to read. Charisma grew up. Loved Derek for not giving up on her. Happy Morgan and Isabella forgave her. Can hardly wait for the next book in the series. Also Trevor deserves to have his story told.
