he rewrote militate sci-fi for me ,i don't think i will look at the genre the same again
he took the origin story to whole other level ,new concepts ,new ideas High Caliber world building
but of course there are also weaknesses
1-his geeky obsession with star wars and the continues stream of references is quite of putting ,cleverly done but undermines the author authenticity ,if you gonna reference star wars in every thing you do ,your creative mark will be severely effected.
but i gotta say ,every time the imperial march was broadcasted i got goner (a geek boner )
2-his action sequences is abysmal ,neither fleet or ground
he over describes every thing ,killing the scene in the process ,other people do it seamesley
3-he is very creative ,but he isn't a good writer ,(Therein lies the ) is probably written every page in one way or another
