Bahama Breeze Breeze and Holly retreat to the far reaches of the Bahamas to ponder the mysteries of love and find meaning in their lives. There are differences to reconcile, but in many ways they are very much alike. Has Breeze met his match? Meade Breeze Part rebel, part knight in rusty armor, and every ounce his own man, Meade Breeze is a rugged, reclusive Florida boat bum. He has special talent for attracting sexy women. His skill at handling boats is matched only by his knack for getting into, and out of, one predicament after another. In this fifth novel starring Breeze, his challenge is one of the heart.
Once again I find myself writing a review on a multiple book series instead of one book at a time. I can only say it's not my fault ..... honest. It is actually my Kindle's fault, I found the 2nd book in the series in my recommended list. Recalling the easy "Keys Vibe" from the 1st book I bought the book and we were off. I read all of the rest of the books currently in this series end to end. Each time I finished one book my kindle tossed up the next one and 1 click later I was deeply immersed in another Meade Breeze adventure. I have just finished the 5th, hopefully not the last, book in the series with Ed's note informing me that he is taking a short hiatus from writing. I would rather have seen a 6th book awaiting my pleasure, but I can't begrudge Ed and his wife a well earned vacation. I have thoroughly enjoyed the great stories, so well crafted by a writer that obviously has first hand knowledge and a love of what he writes about. I would recommend this series to anyone who wants to escape to the Keys and beyond with a colorful cast of characters led by a slightly flawed hero that you can't help but like.
Bahama Breeze: Trailer Trash Book is by Ed Robinson. It is fun to try to decide which things are fact and which are fiction in these books. The author puts himself in these books and include some of his own adventures. Breeze heads for the Bahamas to do a favor for his friend Taylor. As her career as a lawyer seems to be taking off again, he is sure they will breakup. However, he keeps doing favors for her. This time, he had Holly on board. Holly had agreed to crew for him so he had company. She was younger than he was and so far there was no romantic connection with him. They were to identify Tom and call for backup. His backup would then take top into custody to talk to him. When they realize Tom was to be killed, they left the harbor and hid out. He gets Tom to return the money he embezzled. Eventually they end up on Lam where Abby is. He has to make a decision about Abby and Holly. To leave with Holly and leave his boat or stay with Abby? Either way meant leaving Leap of Faith.
I read the first five books of this sixteen book series. All of the books were enjoyable. However, I am stopping at this point. How many times can a man get involved with and love then walk away from five of the most beautiful women in the world because they were just not perfect. The five books should have been condensed and made into one. The reader doesn't need to know every nook and cranny of each boat or every cay, harbor, River, island, bar and anchorage off of Florida or in the Caribbean. The books were more like travel guides than novels and I don’t plan on going there. Thank you Mr. Robinson, but I think it’s time to read something else.
Made a Breeze lives on his boat on the southwest coast of Florida, mostly. His friends range from one legged Beth, a near homeless recovering addict, to Captain Fred, a billionaire mogul who seems to thrive in making life interesting, especially if it can make him money... The lifestyle isn't for the squeamish or even the rule follower. Breeze lives by his own set of rules. Start reading the series at book one to be swept away on an adventure full of sand, run and daring escapades, Breeze style.
Once again in coming to the end of one of the last Breeze books. I've covered so much water, adventure , romance, mystery, good friendships and comedy. These Breeze books fill my soul with all of that. Happy, sad, hurt, regret, laughter all those feelings are jam packed to help me enjoy my life more. I highly recommend these books for anyone who wants to expand their horizons. Thanks again Ed.
So far all I can say about Ed Robinson's writing is I'm very sorry that he has passed away. I highly recommend the entire series of Trawler Trash for everyone to read. There is a lot of entertainment in his writing and I know that when I finish the series I will be looking forward to the next one.
Having spent over three years living aboard a 49 ceNt and Banks at Faro Blanco in Marathon and doing a few cruises I give high marks technically to. Breeze. Good reading!
Breeze was his own adventure this time. This book was sweet, fun and sad all at once. You got to know Breeze in a deeper way this time. I think he learned a lot about himself this time.
Now he’s heading off again. To what??? Looking forward to the next book
Its getting deeper with every story. I look for bad weather so I can hole up and read the next adventure. Its got me. I submit! Who care what tomorrow brings, live for today. Tomorrow will be a new day. Rock on
We see Breeze really try to love and want to settle down. Who will win Breeze the girl, you or the sea or Miss Leap? Can't wait to get to the next book.
This one was the best of the series so far. I don’t ever want this series to end. I’m going to read number six now . Godspeed to Holly, Reece and Andi.
I don't know why it bothers me so much, but when I'm enjoying the story and then a aspelling error breaks my train of thought, it spoils the moment, otherwise a fun read.
Just finished reading the 5 books in order and each book has gotten better.... I was somewhat put off with Breezes criminal activity at first... But I have come to realize that some food usually come out of his criminal endeavors... Have not read the Travis McGee in over 30.....years but the series echoes in my head as I read about breeze
Very good read. In the last week I have read all five of the Breeze series of books. Could not stop with just one. The description of the boats, the islands and traveling in the Keys was just the way you think it should be. If only we had scratch and sniff to get the smells of the gulf and islands it would be complete.
I had a 22ft Shamrock cuddly that I traveled. From St . Pete down to Captiva/ Sanibel- Chevrolet Harbor each year for 9yrs. You hit the right feelings, I always "gunnkhole" everynight. You are a great writer, just enough descriptions, a little sex and excitement to keep the interest. Keep writing, I will keep reading. GREAT Read!
I live in SWF so am familiar with a lot of the places Breeze visits on his many adventures....Ed is a wonderful story teller and pulls you into this adventure....looking forward to your next book...safe travels
