Sadie is excited to start her new life on Ambrosia training to become a Water Keeper, and it’s even more thrilling to finally be in a semi-normal relationship with the love of her life, Rayne. But the Council has made great exceptions to the laws in order to let Sadie enroll at the Academy, and the Council doesn’t give out favors freely. They expect something in return. Not only is she exhausted allowing Orion and the Council to study her abilities, but Sadie feels a sick feeling deep inside that Orion is up to no good. To make matters worse, images of Voss continue to haunt her dreams, and somehow, Sadie knows that she’s the only one who can find him back on Earth and stop his evildoings once and for all.

Original story, really good series!

I rated this 4 stars instead of 5 like the first book in the series b\c the characters of the guys are losing some of their original appeal and character due to the demonizing of their actions\emotions and responses to Sadie and events. It's hard to portray a masculine mindset as a female writer I know, but realistically they are becoming too feminine. I like guys to be clueless sometimes, to get confused and be brutes at times, these guys always know what to say and connect emotionally and express themselves all of a sudden. The story is great, don't get me wrong, but when all the good guys mesh in a story and say the right things it gets less real.
I recommend this book to all audiences because it's a great story and clean. It's got romance, action, fantasy and drama, all in all fun!

Great

Very good. It seems that Sadie and Rayne need to be more than boyfriend and girlfriend. Any good relationship needs growth and theirs had reached only girlfriend and boyfriend.

An unfamiliar topic to me (sex trafficking) covered bravely by characters I love. The end read a little like an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie...think Terminator...so not completely realistic, but I'll be moving on to the next in the series straightaway.

I'm so happy that book four finally came out, I did have to reread the first three (but I'm glad I did because it was amazing going back into the story after being out of it for so long).

Book four is definitely slower compared to the others but I can see why, after everything that our chartered went through in the first three books and getting to where they are now you had to have a little down time.

I will admit I was frustrated a lot in this book, not because of the story but because of how stupid Rayne and Sadie were being at times, yes they are young and have a lot to deal with right now but it really felt like it could have been prevented if they were just more open.

There were lots of interesting little details that are very important in this book and I cannot wait to see where everything takes us in the next one because wow this book does leave you wanting so much more. Be patient with this one, it's not the first three but a much needed storyline to show us that things like this have to happen in plots. I'm so happy that I got to read book four and again cannot wait for book five because things are gonna get crazy.

Things have settled down for Sadie and Rayne in this instalment of the water keepers. Sadie is happy and for the first time in a long time she feels a sense of normality.

I can't get enough of this series. Everything about it appeals to me and I feel like I have a bit of a book hangover after finishing it!

There is definitely underlying reasons for some of the actions in this book and it was left on such a cliffhanger that I just can't wait for book number 5!

I don't want to give too much away but if you are reading this series or want to read it then you are in for a few shocks.

Can't wait for the next book (Shower of Light - hopeful for a release date soon)

I was really looking forward to reading this book. It was such a long wait that I nearly forgot the characters, and the storyline. Sadly after reading this book, I struggled to remember what it was that I liked about them in the first place. The book had very little momentum, and I kept waiting for something to happen, but nothing ever did. Also I found Rayne to be so boring.. nearly half the story his character could be summed up with "Rayne chuckled". I even had difficulty liking Sadie this time around.. I really wanted to like this book but found it disappointing.

Really good continuation from what Sadie has already gone through but to many stressful moments for her and Sadie and Rayne getting angry at each other for no reason. Still love this series and recommend going ahead with it but this book not as interesting, not a lot went on and hardly any twist and turns. looking forward to what comes next!

Amazing sci-fi fantasy.

Brilliant fourth book in the series. Sadie discovers new powers. She has to use them to save both her family and friends. Can't wait for book five.
