Married #3

Mistakenly Married

Rate this book
Penny’s gotten herself into another one of her crazy messes. She’s broke and about to be evicted. When her online boyfriend suggests they elope, she agrees. Why not? She loves him, even though she hasn’t met him, so she blows the last of her cash on a fun Las Vegas wedding. Except, William stands her up and the limo driver picks up the wrong guy. A smokin’ hot wrong guy. Too bad she doesn’t find out who he really is until after the wedding.

Harrison Williams needs a wife to gain access to his trust fund account. He goes to Las Vegas to meet someone, but there’s a mix up and he ends up at the Chapel-O-Love exchanging vows with Penny, a spirited girl in a cheap veil. When they realize the mistake, he convinces her to go back to Bel Air with him to prove that he’s married, and he agrees to pretend to be William so her family doesn’t have to know about her big mistake. Sounds like a good plan. What could go wrong?

Mistakenly Married is a sweet, clean romantic comedy.

In the mood for some good clean fun? This is it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This is the 3rd book in this series but they all stand alone as the characters and story-lines are not connected. Great book for when you just want something light and fluffy.

I Enjoyed this one, The FMC accidentally married the wrong guy since her long time boyfriend was an online only relationship she never met him in person before or seen an actual photo fortunately for her though the man who she ends up marrying is none other than a handsome billionaire.

The MMC need to get married in order to have access to his Trust fund so he doesn't question walking into a chapel and marrying a stranger this is a business transaction a way to get his money. What neither of them expected was for their mistake to turn into the best thing that ever happened to them.

I didn't like the miscommunication part towards the end of the story, she loves him, he loves her but none of them know it yet because they just won't say it. So they both block their own blessing by not communicating 🙄🙄🙄 it's annoying.

Mistaken identity for the bride and a groom who needs a bride. This is not your typical start to happy ever after.

This is a cute addition to the Married series. Every book features a different couple, so you can pick up anywhere in the series and not feel you have missed anything.

This book was hilarious. Penny not a refined lady by any means, but she marries into a wealthy family. The way she deals with them and takes things in stride was wonderful. I loved the fresh breath she was in the book.

This book has kissing and I consider it to be clean.

I was expecting the story to be cheesy and predictable but I didn't expect it to be this unrealistic. The implausibility of the story spoilt everything that was remotely good about the story. Seriously who the hell marries a guy they've met online and having never seen each other face to face?! 🤦‍♀️ Ridiculous!

Note: I listened to the audiobook version.

I loved the narrator. She did a great job on the various voices and pacing of the book.

As for the book itself, the storyline was okay. The plot was good. As always, this couple could have used some great advice before they reached adulthood. Main great advice: Communicate, communicate, communicate. Talk to each other.

My main issue with the book (besides the communicate one) is that there were a lot of slang words. No, none of them were "bad," but you knew exactly what she meant when she said them. Or what she would have said if the book hadn't been written by a clean author.

I liked the ending, but can't tell you exactly why due to spoilers.

A really sweet read, squeaky clean with zero drama. I enjoyed the story of two people that accidentally married through mistaken identity.

3.5 Stars. I felt like I needed a little break from the Mystery/Suspense genre and this was just the cute story I was looking for. I loved the mistaken identity bit in the beginning. I thought this was a really well done fake relationship story and I appreciated that it could still portray lots of sexual tension while remaining very clean. I definitely want to check out some of the other books in this series.

I wanted to like this book. I liked the first story a lot and rated it 5 stars. I enjoyed the second and rated it 4 stars. Something went terribly wrong with this one. I give a lot of leeway for for fiction. It doesn't necessarily have to be realistic but this story was so implausible and cheesy that I couldn't finish it. I understand when characters may be clumsy or have a string of bad luck but I really have a problem with making them seem stupid such as the case here. I cringed and rolled my eyes too many times. I gave up.

I'll probably give this author another try in the future and hope future books are more like the first two.

When I need a fun and charming story, I know I can pick up one of Victorine Lieske's books. Mistakenly Married delivers an afternoon escape like her other books. The story follows Penny and Harrison as they mistakenly marry one another in Las Vegas fashion then develop a friendship that quickly turns into their own love story. I love how they become each other's best friend and support. I only wish it it was longer. I love a book that makes me laugh, tear up a little, and leaves me with a sigh and satisfied smile.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book for an honest review.

Fluffy unpretentious fun. My brain was so overloaded with suspension of disbelief that it short-circuited and I ended eating up everything in this book. The romance is sweet and the characters are engaging, although immature. It is just a silly happy read.

You will know after two chapters: if you made it past them without nitpicking everything, your brain has been numbed and you will enjoy the book; otherwise stop reading it.

This clean, contemporary romance is the third book in a five-book series. Up to this point, no characters have appeared in more than one story, so the books of this series are stand-alone offerings. I found the setup for this story to be very clever, yet, at the same time, nearly unbelievable. But, this is a work of fiction, and the setup was entertaining. I enjoyed the many twists and turns Penny and Harrison go through, and they discover each other and journey toward their HEA. I enjoy reading for entertainment, and Ms. Lieske delivered.

Mistakenly Married is book three in this series but can be a standalone.
-Fake dating
-Marriage of convenience
-Opposites attract
-Rich/ poor
-Online dating
This was a funny online dating situation gone very wrong. At least for Penny. For Harrison this was a business transaction and nothing more. Well, maybe.
These two are complete opposites and they thrived. I enjoyed all their funny situations and even a couple serious ones.
Cute, light, and oh so sweet.
I listened to this for free on Hoopla.

definitely more than 186 pages. the book was good, better than the 2nd, worse than the first one.

penny’s online boyfriend stands her up at the altar, and she ends up marrying the wrong man. i see a funny trend. why is it always the “dumb” naive girl with no money who runs into the billionaire, rubs me the wrong way.

im gonna try to finish the series but every book is lowkey starting to blend in together… i’d rate this a 3.5 ⭐️

This was really cute. Glad to see them both stick up to the other ones families about problems. I'm also sure everyone has that feeling of being the black sheep. All of these books have just been so easy to read and I'm glad that they aren't surrounded by just one group of friends, that they are based all over the place.

Mistakenly Married is a delightful romance where a girl that is prone to make mistakes, marries the wrong guy and ends up with the right guy. She has met a man online named William and sends a limo driver to the airport with a sign saying William on it and Harrison Williams thinks it is for him. He has come to Las Vegas to meet a woman his brother has lined up for him to marry to get his trust fund. This starts a funny chain of events complete with a wicked stepmother, a depleted trust fund, lots of miscommunication and misunderstandings. Penny is a talented singer, is out of work, out of a home and out of money and Harrison is kind and needs a wife and they are already married.

This is humorous, clean and entertaining novel that I loved laughing through.

I found this story to be light and refreshing. The plot might be a little unorthodox, but that is fine with me. The fact that it was well written and that the characters were well developed made this a really enjoyable and easy read. I think I will now go and read the other books by this author that are stored in the depths of my Kindle. ;)

I have to keep this review short and sweet since I need to get ready for work way too soon. I wasn’t intending on reading this one so quickly but the first three reads of the year were either really bad or disappointing and, while this one was somehow both, it was also fun to shut my brain off and let the stupid romantic comedy take place right in front of my eyes. Some of you may know that I mistakenly decided to get the Kindle bind up for all 5 books in this series when I saw it was on sale for a dollar (or possibly it was free, I can’t remember). I know better by now that to buy more than one book in a series before I’ve read the first one. Especially when the bind up is so cheap. I saw a deal and got excited. To my detriment. I thought this was going to be the one that got me. Fake Married?? Mutual Pining?? The Rich Guy’s Family Doesn’t Think She’s Good Enough?? Like, seriously??? How did this not work for me?

Well, it’s too over the top in all directions. First, she’s supposed to be dumb blonde who makes a shitton of mistakes all the time, but... second, she’s also supposed to be a really smart and really talented singer trying to make it in Vegas. Third, he’s a billionaire from a family of billionaires and takes her to fancy parties and buys her pretty dresses, but... fourth, his trust fund is out of money and What Are They Gonna DO?? For such a short novella (just over 150 pages), there just wasn’t enough time for everything the author was trying to do here. I know “Not Long Enough” is such a common complaint from me that I’ve basically got a shortcut on my keyboard for it. But, in reality, this could have been a really well done short romance novel. Everything needed room to breathe.

Overall, the best novella I’ve read in the series, so that’s a plus. Excited to finish it up in the next couple of months. Everyone keep reminding me not to buy bind ups in the mean time.

This book was auesome clearly 5 stars for me. The story was about Penny and Harrison.
Penny was wanting to get married to William whom she has not seen physically but dated and talked in phone for two years. After getting married unfortunately she got to know that he is a wrong guy. Harrison also wanted a large sum of money which was taken away by the step mother and he wanted back but eventually will get if he gets married.
So they hide their relationship and took contract for two years of marriage.
Slowly Harrison life became fulfilled with her. The description of the kisses was amazing. The most amazing part which thrilled my part was a guy making breadtoast for in laws in Penny house. The description of ring fascinated me.

The bonding of Trent and Harrison as brothers were amazing very supported. At last they both got advice of each other for their loved ones. Harrison understood his career path was not CEO rather than it was restaurant. He let his brother took over the company from the loss.

The description of his step mother was amazing that why she spent that money as she was feeling lonely after his father death and started seeing Antonia who was suffering from cancer and she did not want to lose it.

The love was so good the chemistry was superb and understanding it is the good read.

Plot: Harrison is in need of a wife to claim his trust. Penny got married to the wrong man. After discussing their mistake and coming to reason with the events that just unfolded before them, they decide to stay married. After meeting both of the families, Penny decides she can’t be in this marriage any longer and calls it off. How will their feelings present themselves once they are divorced? Will they regret their decision? How will their families react?

What I liked: I liked that Harrison cared for Penny. I liked that Penny didn’t want him for his money.

What I didn’t like: I didn’t like Harrison’s step mom. She was the worst. Especially draining the trust fund for her bang buddy. I also didn’t like that they waited TWO MONTHS before reaching out to each other after the separation. That was insane. I also wasn’t really pulled into this story. It was the standard “marriage of convenience” trope. There wasn’t anything that really stood out to me. It was good, but no real wow factor.

Swearing: none

Physical intimacy level: closed door, kisses

Star rating: 3 stars

Trope: marriage of convenience, marriage at first meeting, online dating, billionaire romance

This was a delightful, fun rom com. Refreshing and crazy and cute. The thing I particularly appreciated about it was that it avoided some tropes that I get sick of in romance and other genres too. For example, there's a scene where the main character discovers a major mistake. I've read far too many stories where all the clues are right in front of the character yet it takes another five pages to put it all together. Here she simply realizes immediately and we get to move on. Oh, it made me so happy. So so happy.

The main character is a total spaz (charmingly so, though) and she does some naive stuff, but she doesn't feel like an idiot, which is how I feel about a lot of female characters in modern romance. So again, win.

On the other hand, the stuff with the stepmother and what was happening with her didn't work great for me, but since it was side plot, I didn't mind too much.

Was it deep? No. Was it a fun, clean read? Yes.

Rating: PG, which is awesome, especially with the premise of getting married in Las Vegas.

I wanted to like this book. I liked the premise, but it quickly went downhill from there. The storyline was so utterly implausible that I could not get in to it. I found myself rolling my eyes at the angst of the 40 year old bald married online boyfriend. The main characters were suppose to be in their late twenties. They acted like they were in their early-mid teens. She also made the "evil step-mom" completely unrealistic. No way would someone claw their son's new wife's hand with a handshake on purpose--especially not an upper crust "fancy" person such as she was suppose to be. After about 1/4 - 1/2 the book I just couldn't finish. I just gave up because I found that I had no attachment to the characters and frankly, just didn't care if they got married and had stupid and clueless children (as they seemed to be) or if the main male love interest finally woke up and realized that Penny was too immature and left her to be with her 40 year old bald, married online "boyfriend."

These novels were so cute! They had all my favorite themes - friends falling in love, celebrity romance, billionaire romance, hate to love... I recommend them to anyone who seeks light, sweet reads with a satisfying end and no cliffhangers. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone, there are no common characters.
Religion: none
Sensuality: clean
Narrative: 3rd person, following the H and h
Book 1: Accidentally Married - rich boy hires fake girlfriend
Book 2: Reluctantly Married - bantering colleagues fake relationship for publicity
Book 3: Mistakenly Married - fun and optimistic artist marries the wrong guy who thinks of their marriage as a business arrangement
Book 4: Blissfully Married - childhood friends have a second chance to find out they are perfect for each other
Book 5: Acting Married - a single mother agrees to marry temporarily the famous actor she works for

This was the strangest book in the series.

It's already bizarre to me that Penny agreed to marry someone she never met in person. It's more crazy that two persons made arrangements to marry someone they have never met, on the same day, at the same location.

But you know what is even more fascinating? The fact that they got married, signed the papers and Penny did not realize that the name on paper was not that of the person she should ne marrying. Lol. Talk about arrange marriages.

And then there was his stepmother, Patrice. She was so harsh and unwelcoming. I'm glad they all realized that not everyone does things solely for financial gains.

Nevertheless, as much as their love blossomed in record time, I like the fact that they decided to stay together and work out their affairs.
