I enjoy reading books from this author since it is clean with no swearing or sexual content. Great stories and great characters. What more would you like than a quick read to satisfy your craving for books and food of course.

Chef Veronica has taken a catering assignment at the Starlight Resort. Her clients are the Buckner family, each with very specific dietary needs. Thankfully, the family loves their meal, and has asked her to cater their meals for the rest of the weekend. During the weekend, one of the family members turns up dead and Veronica automatically suspects foul play. While the local authorities are taking their time to begin investigations, Veronica and her sous chef take it upon themselves to start asking questions. The local authorities finally decide to get their investigation started and with Veronica's assistance the murder is solved. The story is a quick read and makes for a great cozy mystery.

I was given this book for free for a review.

This was a simple short read. The feel of this book kind of reminded me of when I was a teen and would read Nancy Drew. The characters were fun. The only thing that was a little weird to me was the transition from I'm cooking for this family to I'm solving a mystery. I expected the family to be more "mind your own business". Regardless, I completley enjoyed the book and can't wait to read more for this author.

Chef Veronica has taken a catering assignment at the Starlight Resort. Her clients the Buckner family have some very specific diets so while cooking for the family she must solve a murder of one of the family. Quick read and great start to the series. I have read some of Liz Turner's other books and this is turning out as good as the other ones
